So you have brake buster in the foam cannon as well as the spray bottle...need to get another foam cannon for sure just for this application. Thanks for the wonderful footage, quite relaxing!!!!
Definitely no! Brake buster only in my spray bottle. I have a car soap in the foam cannon. I never put brake buster in the foam cannon. You can get a ik foamer if you want to foam brake buster. I use just normal spray bottles.
@@STATUSDETAIL definitely man. I enjoy these as much as the others. It’s a great way to relax on my Sunday morning with my coffee. I watched every second.
This car did have ceramic from another company. I don't think it was very good or installed correctly. It didn't bead water very well in most spots I did wetcoat and cure at the end. I think that was it because this was just a maintenance detail I believe
@@markhefter6333 thanks! I use and sell the pf22. It's on starusdetailstore.com The pressure washer is a ar blue 630tss I believe. It's expensive but incredibly reliable. Been using it for years and in winters with hot water.
Great video as usual! A beautiful car like that deserves only the finest attention to detail. I see you tagged AmmoNYC in the video description. Are you affiliated or just a fan of their work? I live in NY and would love for you to detail my car but it’s not feasible. Do you think I could trust Ammo to just as good a job as you?
I tagged ammo because I'd like to think fans of Larry's work would also enjoy my content. Definitely no affiliation. Being compared to ammo in a way that structures my work as better than his is pretty humbling. It brings a smile to my face that someone would type that out and view Status Detail as that high end. Obviously this business is presented as high end detailing and positioned as one of the best details around. Still nice to see someone reference that who isn't me lol. I'm positive Larry would deliver a incredible detail for you!
I'll probably do a video on this soon!!! It's a really good topic I'm using very strong soap. It's a mix of gsf and geon foam. I also have a very strong pressure washer with high GPM. GPM is more important than pressure itself. The extra flow helps foam better. I also put hot water in the foam cannon. Most people have bad phone because they use bad soap or they have a bad pressure washer with low GPM
@@STATUSDETAIL I realized after posting the comment that you must be in Europe, so on 240V outlet... that makes a huge difference for electric power washers! Here in Canada with our measly 110V X 15A outlets, we are forced to use tiny motors for the PW or use a gas one. I have the same foam cannon you use and my foam is really thin even when I use a 2 GPM power washer. Now I use a 1.2 GMP one so it's even worse LOL. On the plus side, the thickness doesn't make much difference, it just doesn't look as cool ;) For my pre-wash, I always foam with a degreaser or APC to try to knock some of that road film off. I never use a neutral soap because for the wash, I always use a rinseless so I can work panel by panel in the sun. Cool video BTW, love McLarens! Have not had the pleasure of working on one yet... not many of them here in Montreal ;) Owners probably don't like streets that look like warzone with potholes everywhere ;)
@@Calendyr I'm actually in Chicago Illinois. USA. Sounds like you have a pretty good process. If you had two GPM and we're using a good soap that really should have been pretty thick foam the only other factor that would be big would be really hard or really soft water. Thanks for watching my videos 🙂👍👍
You used a sealant, then blow dried the car.. but what was that product you used for towel drying it? A drying aid? Would using P&S BeadMaker be a good idea to use after already using a sealant on the paint?
@@STATUSDETAILcan’t you use the Hydro2 (same sealant you used before blow drying) for towel drying as well? I’m curious to know what switching to a different sealant does like gtechniq C2 or Reload2.0 for the towel drying?
@@alan5744 hydro is like WetCoat. Both are water activated. That react with water and kinda turn milky weight. So it's touchless activation to "wax" your car. Spraying it and wiping is not something I have tried because it's simply not designed to be applied that way. Might work? But not intended to be used this way.
@@STATUSDETAILso just to be sure. You used hydro2 to do a touchless seal on the car and then removed any streaks and little bit of water by towel drying with gyeon q2m quick detailer? This was a few hundred dollar maintenance detail lol. Sorry I'm not sorry my other video offended you and you feel the need to put hate into the channel. That's unfortunate because lots ofs people put good back into the channel and that's what it's all about
