I love this mode, I can hide my most invested units and best strategies behind total bait characters and strategies (I have no experience in using them). Literally everyone allowed me to use my Brave Eliwood, Cecilia, Canas, Ash, and Nils team except one person, which is what I lost to. However, they are hiding behind teams that use Legendary Sigurd, Yuri, Nott on one team. Legendary Lilina, Pent, Lilina, on another. Making it clearly obvious I am using an AoE strat. All human players didn't want to face my Legendary Sigurd team. And 5 of the remaining human players didn't want to play into the Legendary Lilina team. So it was super easy to win. I feel like half the battle is knowing what your opponents don't want to face.
It is sort of an improvement to SDR, but well, I don't even like SDR to begin with. And the fact that I have to think through 4 unique teams with no repeating units or seals every season is such a downer for me.
It was a fun change of pace, but I feel this mode just favours whales as they can easily make every of their team have units they want without making bait teams while many f2p players are forced to make at least one team they're not actually going to use. F2p players can have many 5* too, but not many of them have canto and it seems you need canto to survive in this mode. I did manage to reach 1,000 glory with my limited resources but I feel I was just lucky since I played the minute the event launched.
I definitely prefer this mode than SD R just because I can ban teams that I particularly don't like But at the same time, it's more difficulty for me to have fun in this mode since I have to make sure my meta units are evenly place so I don't get stuck with two bad teams Overall a fine alternative from normal SD and an upgrade from SD R.
I will admit, this game mode is a breath of fresh air from Summoner Duels R. The veto system actually makes the game more fair, so you don't have to keep fighting the same teams over and over again. I will say it's pretty time consuming just to put 4 teams together that you can actually work with, knowing the veto system, but it's still manageable. This mode is way better than Summoner Duels R, but I still wouldn't say I truly enjoyed it, so I'd say it's more in between for me.
I'm not gonna say I truly enjoyed this mode, but this feels like a step in the right direction. The veto system is pretty interesting to where you can prevent your opponent from using certain meta, as they can for you, so it's pretty balanced at least. However, it did take me a while to put my teams together, so that I don't get stuck using a team that can't counter. I pretty much prefer playing normal Summoners Duels, but I enjoyed this way more than SDR, so I'm hoping this mode will improve in the future.
I didn't really bother playing more apart from the bot matches and putting together actual teams, it's time consuming at times, just wanted the max rewards. the mode has potential, the fact that you can ban teams is amazing. SD-S should be the only ranked version of SD
The hit and run canto plays are quite clever, well done! I did have a similar experience in at least one regard though; no one banned my Duo Dagr + Bride Catria team, which is odd, as that team was for sure my strongest. I had a ban bait team, but, still. Fun spin on SD though, the ban and team division makes the mode so much more enjoyable. Enjoy watching the content as always!
This mode I wouldn't say is the greatest, but it's a step up from how awful SDR was. I do like the veto teams feature for dealing with certain threats, but it can get challenging from which teams your opponent vetoed, so it's fairly balanced. I'd would say this is a much better version from SDR, but I still prefer just playing regular SD over this.
As someone who considers themselves a vgm connoisseur, I must say your music choices are very inspired. I can always tell when you have discovered some cool new music! Deserted Chateau is one of my favorites too :)
Amazing matches as usual! This takes me back to when I was like 10 years old and watching so much live Pokémon competitive videos so it was weirdly nostalgic, despite not being around your Pokémon days and this being feh instead of Pokémon lol
This was a really nice video because of the insight you gave during your duels. I'd have loved to see an explanation or a showcase of every team you built as you only played with 2 team during the video (Pathfinder AOE alm + otr & windsweep lilina) because I know some players like myslef created decoys or trap team for their opponents to veto. I feel like SD S is a step in the right direction for a PVP ranked mode (they should really move it to coliseum if they keep it a bi-weekly thing). The constant powercreep and the rarity or the lack of accesibility of good skills is really annoying to me as building good units or units that work nowadays is really hard and time consuming sometimes, SD S really ask of players to have at least 16 units built well to handle a lot.
I find it amusing that IS actually just straight up gave the max rewards to everyone on the first week of SDS regardless of their rank. Not that I'm complaining, of course.
My experience with Summoner Duels (any kind) is just sitting back and watching you play :'D this was a fun watch! Now with the battle ID you'll be able to give us some hands-on battles to watch 👀
I was so happy when I got to 1000. I way prefer this mode, just forcing opponents to spread their units across 4 teams makes it so much easier to manage and if you don't have a counter to a specific unit, you're not just screwed you just have to ban that team. You also get mind games of like banning their two teams that have ranged threats and then hoping they didn't ban your close save team which can deal with their close threats, or vice versa.
I've be on a very long hiatus(like book4) from feh. I summon now and again to get free units (f2p) but getting back in it is so overwhelming . I really wished this mode was out years ago
summoner duels s >>> all other summoner duels. being able to veto teams that contain units you have no counter for works really well, and having four teams with different units at your own disposal means you're forced to play with different strategies, which i think is a nice challenge. i had fun trying to balance them in such a way that no team is clearly overpowered and would always be vetoed immediately. i didn't lose a single match getting to 1000 glory! definitely can't say that for the other modes
I suffer too much on these new pvp modes, so I just play a bit for the rewards and that's all Watching you play with actually not +10 full teams is actually pretty fun and makes me wanna keep trying but I know I'm gonna get rekt 🤣. Honestly enjoyed summoner S more than I thought. Not having to deal with certain units your teams have poor matchups against, in exchange, you have to sprinkle your own op units throughout your four teams. There’s more variety as well when compared to the three SD modes. Turmoil, compared to Quick Draw and Erosion, is way less annoying and cancerous. It’s only really abuseable on units who have Trace skills. Would much rather prefer that those other Two captain skills. Nice to see you score so highly. Impressive
I think not seeing this is the interesting part. It allows for more gamesmanship in that my base neutral Yuri with no investment can be used to scare the opponent into banning a team I don’t care about. It levels the field for f2p players a bit and allows for bluffing which is fun when someone gets baited into it. :)

That had me in stitches XD If you don't like any of these SD events or already reached max scoring and want to do something nice for someone, you can just enter a match and immediately end your turns. That way you give some free scoring to some poor soul and in case you find someone who's trying to do the same you end in a draw allowing you both to still give that victory to someone who wants it.

I’ve merged my Reginn up a bit, and some of the guides don’t work. Should I spend orbs to get 1 copy of Reginn and use trait fruits on her (assuming she doesn’t come at neutral ivs), so I can follow your guides?
Oof that's quite heavy investment man for Reginn, all for F2P Guides. I personally wouldn't recommend it. I think many of my F2P Guides will still work. A lot of times you can improvise in F2P Guides by running Life & Death on Reginn and still making it work out as AI will chase her due reduced bulk.
I find that theirs a lot of hackers in this cause I seem to lose connection a lot especially when the opponent can’t destroy my far save unit. How do I know it’s hackers it’s cause a i live in a 4g area of England and I usually which to 4g i can use a device which measures my connection it says I have excellent connection so they flooding my connection to the company and I get kicked out of the app luckily cause I’m using 4 g and not my landline I can get back in before my timer is up.
These ranked summoner duel modes are just a bad idea from the get-go. What makes a good game mode to a majority of the FEH community has relied on it being either casual or accessible. Summoner Duels Ranked is the antithesis to both.
I never did underestimated Otr his base lvl 1 attack is 30 lol and defense and resistance are every single level up the same exact numbers so its never gonna lack of one and not of the other

Not truly a fun mode tbh. Its a nice opportunity to flex for ppl who hve a strong understanding of the game, but its a gacha game. It wasnt made to be balanced unlike fighting games. Well done tho for being on the frontier of this new mode.

I think this is a fine version, but only in the sense that your teams have just all around checks or just a defined game plan theme like pathfinder.
