It's so strange that I started watching this video again and then the Los Angeles fires started. I think the damage done in LA is worse than these fires. Not only are they bad monetarily it's the way it was handled. The governor Gavin Nuscum purposely drained the overflow water into the ocean so there was no water to use. Then he goes on TV talking about plans and investors for a smart city. This fire was set on purpose and let burn almost every house. This video should be used as a memorial of the Maui and Los Angeles fires. So many lost lives and homes. I grew up in California. I lived in Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks during the 70s and 80s. Now I am living in Phoenix Arizona watching my birth state burn down for a greedy governor and Mayor. Watching this breaks my heart.
I still think this is some of the most surreal footage I’ve ever seen. This music only enhances the utter awe and horror of it all.

One of my bffs posted this song without seeing this video. The day they posted nowhere was the day the smoke started rolling in my area from the fires. We live across the country from each other. I must say it was difficult watching this and then putting together the irony of timing and circumstances. The song is wicked though. Seriously can’t stop listening to it.

If you wonder what's it like to die transformed into sound, I think Sidewalks and Skeletons comes very close to it. Haunting, dramatic and depressing at first but sleep inducing and peaceful at the end. A nano second of pure relief.
