Is it more expensive the general dentist?

Hi there. Holistic dentistry is more expensive. Dentists who brand themselves as holistic tend to use more expensive materials and charge more. They are also usually cash only, maybe PPOs. Dentists who work with all the insurances don't typically bother with holistic dentistry as it is not feasible using insurance fees. I would say expect to pay double or triple if you're planning on seeing a reputable holistic dentist. Is it worth it? For those with a sensitive body, it is. For those on a budget, probably not a good idea! Good luck to you.

Holistic dentists claim to use only natural herbal ingredients. But many infections cannot be cured with the tea tree / clove oil. Nothing wrong with metal fillings bc of advances in dentistry- only If mercury leaks & one is allergic to mercury, it can cause problems. If u go to regular cleanings in any Westernized country, any average dentist can see leaking/ old/ broken fillings & repair them bc u also have a new cavity around that failed filling.
Also, herbal remedies - depends on each person immune system& mouth ; a pure non metal crown will crack if u grind or clench & 80% of population unknowningly clench or grind. DNA/ Diet- big factor in oral health: eating crunchy hard foods, lots of sticky fake sugar, taffy/ caramel or hard candy , sugary soda or drinks, even a nut can crack normal tooth, esp as one ages.
Some ppl are blessed with great enzymes. Others not or some medical treatment or accident damages teeth, esp saliva which is key to killing bad bacteria & maintaining good flora that ends in one’s gut.
Yes, holistic = ALL cash & far more costly than non holistic dentistry- and THIS dentist already uploaded why regular dentistry costs thousands $$.
