Love this routine. Miss it immensely. Her Double Layout and her Quad Spin are absolutely superb. Her Mustafina turn is amazing as well. I hope to see a beautiful routine like this in 2017.
What made her unbeatable back in 2010/2011 was that difficult tumbling and those difficult spins. Had she not tore her ACL there’s no doubt she would have been 2012 AA champion. Miss her a lot! And will forever be a true legend of this era 🥹🥹❤️
OMG! I think she was at her best here. okay, not the consistency and energy as in 2010, but her turns and artistry is out of this world, tumbling were difficult too 😍😍😍 she’s the queen 👑
it's so sad that she never competed the double layout or any laid out skill going backwards in Olympics or world championships😪 overall she's a legend in the gymnastics books forever
If I remember correctly, Steingruber should have had .3 off for both feet out. Instead of the .1 penalty she incurred. Mustafina would have one... Mustafina is such a good sport still celebrating her competitors. She's come such a long way.
This should have been gold is so unfair that she only score 14.2 the routine is packed with difficultly and dance elements when is she ever going to get gold on floor!!! She was amazing as usual she delivers on the events finals!! She is elegant and powerful!! Keep going Aliya one day your time will come again! I can't wait for worlds she is going to do amazing!!
I had to watch the double layout twice! So good! There is so much more artistry in the European competitions. For me, it's much more enjoyable to watch. I wish the U.S. and Chinese girls would focus on that more... More fluidity, less trick, trick, trick.
Olesya Mikheeva Yes. I actually screenshot where she came out of bound and her right heel on top of her left foot also came out. In fact I zoomed in just to make sure. Mustafina was literally robbed of gold and no one with eyes can argue that.
011cra Yeah, I agree. How the hell could that have slipped by them? Aliya wasn't perfect but she had the gold medal worthy performance, not Steingruber (who can normally do her routine much better than she did).
See her legs during her triple twist ,they glued together again like she did in 2010 world championship. Does it mean the gueen mustafina come back again!?
iPhone6SGymnast2003 that would be strange if he thought so, because there is a triple twist and there is a 1.5 thru to 1.5. Two different things. You don't add skills together to make a bigger one. But it's not a mistake to be embarrassed over since a lot of fans struggle with counting twists.
The quadruple turn and mustafina turn were awesome. She just missed the double turn and tried to add it just at the end but again she missed it. That's why her D score was 5.9 otherwise it would be gold medal.
Socrates Sanchez She was actually robbed. Giulia had both foot out on her last pass (I saw the live stream, rewind to where she stepped, and infact even took a screen shoot so that I could zoom in and be 100% sure) stepped out both her right foot and left heel however, she only incurred a .1 deduction instead of a .3. Hence, Mustafina was LITERALLY robbed. This isn't even a question of whether you a judge or not or whether you liked Mustafina or Giulia's floor work better. It's something than anyone with eyes can see. Giulia wasn't penalized properly.
Socrates Sanchez Her D score actually was 6.0 even discounting her attemps of the memmel and her first spin connection, i don't get it why Sergei didn't ask for a inquiry??.

"we are tired of mustafina winning things. lets give her silver today" -judges, probably
Wow enormous improvement on her twisting form compared to London, also beautiful DLO!

That DLO was awesome!!

Cody S. Well, Steingruber had 1 foot out but the pass should have been at least .5 off of her score not .3
Kameron Coleman both feet definitely went out on her last pass

Her best floor routine I think. It’s so clean and lyrical.
She is a lefty! YAY

Her legs were glued togeather yessss
I absolutely adore her & her floor routines! She's s great gymnast all around!
“Aliya Mustafina does it her way”, how long were they waiting to say that 🙄
The song is a version of “My Way” by Frank Sinatra.
Stupid Mustafina stan doesn’t even get the message.
Maravilhosaaaaaaa!!!!!!
LOVE HER!!!!
Shes God
Why did Steingruber only get .1 off? Red flag went up, both feet out, should've been .3 off
Yeah Aliya should have won gold

Yiuyin Chow there was no triple twist in this routine.
+kareharpies lol he meant the 1.5 to 1.5 because that is equal to 3 twists

+kareharpies like me. Like someone said Kyla did a 2.5 last year. We've been figuring it out since Jesolo.... Really she did a 1 1/2 to 1/1
She was robbed. Steingruber stepped out with BOTH feet
I would love it if “My Way” was her swan song.
Alot of underscoring at the championships
What was the score ?
I think this's a lot better than qualifications
She's amazing 🙈❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
14.2 😇
Too many fucking spins. GEEZ! It took away the beauty of this routine.
Tyrone Branch shut up punk... How could u not like Mustafina spinning all day!?
why did she add the last spin before the end?
+vege tabalex because she fell out of her first turn and knew it wouldn't get credited as a D
She likes picking up that leg and spinning... She nailed the 2nd spin though.
Great music, but Sinatra isn't a good song for her. She didn't really interpret it. The song is both sad but joyful.
she loses so many points on execution

011cra Yep. and the woman even raised a RED flag because she had 2 feet out. If it was only 1 foot out, it would've been a yellow flag.
Socrates Sanchez Her D score actually was 6.0 even discounting her attemps of the memmel and her first spin connection, i don't get it why Sergei didn't ask for a inquiry??.
***** They may have downgraded the Mustafina to the Memmel because she put her heel down at the end of that turn
Olesya Mikheeva but she completed it and with that full turn after avoid deductions
