Wonderful video, thank you! I work as a Parts Manager at a Case IH dealership and someone had asked me about getting Versatile parts and I had no clue what that even was. So, finding this and watching it helped me learn something!
Back in late 1977 I went to the Versatile tractor facility in Winnipeg from the UK. In 1978 I went to Nigeria on a two-year contract to oversee the commissioning and distribution of thirty -five Versatile 750's plus a whole range of Canadian farm equipment.
I had a tour of the Versatile factory in 1981. Big Roy was abandoned out the back with the other unsuccessful ideas. They were building 1150s that day. They also built a big PTO Header ( Combine to some). Good simple tractors that will go forever if you look after them.
I just bought a 145 from my neighbor, he was getting a steel salvage company to come clean away all the old equiptment in his yard and I couldn't let it get all cut up for scrap. It is all there and I guess he parked it running with bad blow by about 25 years ago. If nothing else I'll keep it as yard art, they are kind of crude looking but for some reason I like them.

Glad it was helpful!
I’ve sat in big Roy before. My family and me go to the threshermans reunion at the museum every year. It’s an amazing place to be.
The older series one through four tractors are basically an anvil with wheels....tough and reliable.
😂

That is very interesting

What a privilege, I wish I can go one day
For your 1969 just to clarify there was a 118, 125, and 145 horse model. Diesel v6 was 118, gas v8 was 125, and diesel v8 was 145. Great video tho
Sorry if i spread misinformation, thanks for the feedback.

My neighbor has a 1969 or so versatile with a cab. Modified with a Detroit diesel 150hp ...he’s has had it for years
sweather pulled and self propelled. Versatile built bigger tractor, Morris Rod weeder built bigger caltavator to use with it.
Oof, couldn't make it through the music...
Sorry, noted for next time
So it is owned by a Russia company?
Essentially, yes. It is
