  • Today I have a wonderful vintage doll haul! Whether you have indulged in vintage dolls or not, you might just see one today that takes your fancy! I’ll be making these dolls some sweet outfits and a carry case once I get them all spiffied up! And since they are vinyl, (except for the yes-no doll, which probably wont make it to the grandkids till they are much older) they will make great grandkids toys!
    These were purchased from
    eBay.com
    shopgoodwill.com
Your experience may differ from mine.

LOL! I don't have grand kids, so I cant use them as an excuse to buy more dolls! :D I love dolls from the 60's and I've collected quite a few. The Horsman dolls are adorable! The only concern I'd have about giving older dolls to kids is the issue of possible lead paint. I think it was 1978 when they stopped using lead paint on toys, so I'd be careful of that.

You know, I didn’t realize that they used lead based paint on these dolls ~ I am definitely going to have to do some research on that ~ thank you very much for that information!!!❤️🥰😘💕😊❤️

Very nice dolls. I started my collection over ten years ago, with similar vintage dolls. I think they are quite adorable.

My vintage Ginny is different. I think she's called a Ginny walker with lots of joints and she's from around 1950. These that you bought at Goodwill are just adorable. I have a question about aliexpress for you when you have time. I can't figure out how to order anything other than the naked doll. I can see all the options of make up, wigs and clothes but I don't know how to add them to the order. I won't be ordering anymore from there until the planes are flying again so no hurry with this one. Thanks Carol. Really like the tip about Goodwill.

Ohhh, the Ginny walkers are so cool! And, by the way, worth quite a bit, if she’s bigger than 8”. 😊😘😊who knew that our playthings of yesterday would be so valuable now? With the Aliexpress dolls, different vendors add the items differently. So some will have a face up as one of the options for sale. With Some of the vendors, though, you have to specifically ask them for the hair, face up, eyes, etc. And a few of the vendors will sell a set look all in one package (such as the dream fairy doll that I just posted a video about today.) If you have a link to the dolls that you are looking at, I can go look around and see what I can see. 😊😘🥰😘❤️❤️💕😊

Yes of course! I use my own patterns and I use vintage Simplicity and Butterick patterns for my dolls clothes. I'm sorry your family doesn't appreciate dolls quite as much as you do😟. Maybe it could help to let them know that actually back in the day, most tailors were men, and they often made exact miniature replicas of their clothing creations to show to prospective clientele. And in order to showcase those clothes, yes, they put them on dolls! Men can have soft heart towards beautiful things as well as women~ in fact, I think it makes them a little more caring and tenderhearted. It is ok to have a tender heart and you can still be a man. After all, if you have children some day, it's a good thing to be aware of those tender moments, and your wife and children will love you all the more for it! 😊😊💞😘😊
