Professor i want to publicly thank you for helping me to pass the TEAS! The strategies you've taught me helped me to recognize types of passages so i could hit the correct answer and save time. You break down identifying the types of sentences and so much more. Thank you again! My TEAS award is dedicated to you!
I’ve been watching all of your videos to prep for my TEAS. I took my first TEAS in 2015 and re-took it in 2016 now I have to try to achieve a higher score since nursing programs are so competitive. I appreciate all of your hard work!
I absolutely love your videos and am so excited and nervous to take the Teas exam. I understand more now than I have before. Thank you so much for everything you've done for all of us
Hello Professor McAllister. English is my second language, all your videos are very helpful and easy to understand. I have been watching all of your videos to prepare for my TEAS. I just passed my TEAS today. I appreciate all of your hard work. Thank you so much!😘😘😘
this was THE video I needed, I got a 70ish on my english and language usage. I’m good with grammar but I know most of the questions I missed were on whether which word was a verb, adverb, adjective, etc. I totally forgot on these subjects and looking back I am able to remember the right answer to what I got wrong on the TEAS. I’m again taking it next month so I’m sure I’ll get a higher score now, thank you for sharing your videos!! the strategies for reading has also helped me immensely
Will you please upload a video about the passages of solar panels. I just took the teas and those two passages were on there and they completely confused me. I got a 60% on the reading portion. I could only take my teas test one more time.
andrea vasquez yeah i only watched her videos for reading and took notes while i was watching. i’m also in a study group on facebook so if you have one i can link you to my post for what to study for each section
andrea vasquez the anatomy and physiology imo is general like if you’ve studied then you would know the answers and it’s not trick and you just need to know the 11 systems. i used a study guide from the facebook group and watched bozeman science videos on each topic that was on it here’s the link to my post facebook.com/groups/ATIteas6/permalink/944644915918585/
Wow, I should've wasted my time on TH-cam instead of books. I took my first practice test from the ATI book yesterday. It left me feeling so discouraged to the point of wanting to reschedule my exam. As I'm watching your videos, I feel excited and a strong urge of readiness. My exam is 2 days, I only started preparing this week.
Hello! I test this friday, and I have been watching all of your videos. (Notice how I placed a comma before the fanboy!) Might I suggest making a video about commonly misspelled words? Thank you so much for everything.
You are amazing! Thank you so much for making these videos! In your example "The food tasted delicious." The word delicious can also be used as an adjective right? Also, could you make a video on prepositions please?
Hi, Ashley if I am understanding correctly, the word "delicious" in this sentence is an adverb, because it is describing "how" the food tasted, in other words it is describing an adjective. I hope this makes sense.
Carolyn McAllister In this sentence though, isn’t it a linking verb that is connecting the subject of the sentence to the adjective? ‘Tasted’ would be used to help ‘delicious’ describe the subject ‘food’
A sentence can have as many adjectives as necessary. For example: The little boy continued to play with his exciting video game until he became very sleepy. How many adjectives? What are they?
Can it also be "the student studied her notes carefully daily." or "the student studied carefully her notes."? When does adverb come before/ after the verb? Why is "The food tasted delicious" an adverb? Delicious describes the food, so it should be an adjective?
Hi, it is something I am definitely considering, and I have received numerous requests to do so. I am trying to figure out the best way to meet everyone's needs, so stand by for a near future video that will provide this information. Thank you for watching, and thank you for your patience.
I loved all the videos, but I am still a little confused with the adverbs and adjectives. I understand the adjective clearly but the adverb to me seems so similar to the adjective :(
I will do a more expanded version of adverbs/adjectives soon. Until then - if a word ends in 'ly' (happily, quickly, slowly, etc.) it will be an adverb most of the time! Good luck!
Tricky! It is an adjective because it describes the food: The food tastes delicious! In order to be an adverb, you would have to add 'ly The deliciously tasting cake... My advice for the TEAS: If the word ends in -ly, it is an adverb. No -ly? Adjective. Don't waste precious time over-thinking it. :)
Just passed with an 83.3! Honestly thank you for taking the time out of your day to make these videos!
Congratulations!! Good luck on your journey!
Congratulations!
Congrats

Thank you but when are you posting something on solar panels.
Are you asking for a particular passage about solar panels? I am not familiar with any such passage.
Hello! I test this friday, and I have been watching all of your videos. (Notice how I placed a comma before the fanboy!) Might I suggest making a video about commonly misspelled words? Thank you so much for everything.
Good luck to you! I think a video regarding commonly misspelled words is a great idea!
Hello 👋 can you please download the episode 20 . Thanks and God Richly Bless You.
The video is in progress! I will post it as soon as possible. Thank you for watching!
You are amazing! Thank you so much for making these videos! In your example "The food tasted delicious." The word delicious can also be used as an adjective right? Also, could you make a video on prepositions please?
Yes, it can also be considered an adjective. And yes, I will create a preposition video. Good luck to you!
Thank you so much 🙏. Your videos are very helpful.
You are so welcome! I wish you the best!!
Thank You
Great videos
Thank you so much. I am studying for the HESI and I find your videos very help. Does your tips also apply to the HESI?
All of the English Language Usage videos should work for the HESI. Not sure about the Reading strategies. Thank you for watching!
Could you please explain how “delicious” is an adverb in the sentence: “The food tasted delicious.” Is it not an adjective?
Hi, Ashley if I am understanding correctly, the word "delicious" in this sentence is an adverb, because it is describing "how" the food tasted, in other words it is describing an adjective. I hope this makes sense.
Delicious is describing how the food 'tasted' - which is a verb. Anything that provides details about a verb is considered an adVERB. Hope this helps!
Carolyn McAllister In this sentence though, isn’t it a linking verb that is connecting the subject of the sentence to the adjective? ‘Tasted’ would be used to help ‘delicious’ describe the subject ‘food’
Can you please make vids explaining the direct object, clause, indirect object, predicate, preposition, conjunction. The parts of the speech.
Hi, I certainly will! I'm gearing up to start recording all new videos. Good luck to you!

Thanks a lot Carolyn. How many adjectives a sentence may have?
A sentence can have as many adjectives as necessary. For example: The little boy continued to play with his exciting video game until he became very sleepy. How many adjectives? What are they?
Carolyn McAllister . 2 adjectives Little and exciting.
Is delicious adjective or adverb?
More practice on identifying the different types of sentences such as simple complex etc
ask nicely
Could this apply to Kaplan?
I do not think so. Kaplan should be more straight-forward and not tricky like the TEAS.
Can it also be "the student studied her notes carefully daily." or "the student studied carefully her notes."? When does adverb come before/ after the verb? Why is "The food tasted delicious" an adverb? Delicious describes the food, so it should be an adjective?
Hey do you do private tutoring sessions?!

Thank you 😊
I am 18 years old and finally know what a adverb means 👍
Wonderful! Good luck to you!

The food tasted delicious. The delicious is not a Adv; it is a Adj.
