    Pretty cool tank dude, I have a 30 gallon tank with a green anole, a long tailed lizard, a brown anole, and a fire belly toad and I was planning to add a green tree frog and a Mediterranean house gecko to it as well.

      That tank is probably not big enough for all those animals, I'd say it's barely big enough for the three you have.

    This is awesome! Beautiful setup, love the music, and good info! These are the same 3 species that i wanna cohab as well! I already have 1 wild caught house gecko, and i wanna get some anoles first to put in with him, and then some tree frogs as well. Hes in a 25-30g right now by hisself, so im gonna wait until i can switch him to a bigger tank and make it bioactive before I introduce anyone else into it.

      @@Alan-bw2sc mine is called “max growth light” but I’m sure the one your asking about will work too. Any led light designed to grow plants will do, I’d recommend the type of light I use because of the white light it gives off which brightens up the tank real nice also giving it that daytime sun effect

    • @Mastervulpes
      @Mastervulpes  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No issues whatsoever. I say go for it with your house geckos! They are invasive in so many parts of the world it’s inevitable that they share habitats with a variety of herps. It only becomes a problem if your cohabiting juveniles which I don’t recommend just because they are so small and fall prey to so much.

    im trying to do this with little frogs like reed frogs, auratus and glass frogs. One simple question, you that has ovserved the behaibour of the anoles, you think is a good idea to add them to the tank? i really want to put a good handling species of lizard in the tank and im between long tailed, anoles and day geckos but im really worried that they may eat the small tree frogs

    • @Mastervulpes

    Hey not sure if you have any advice but imma ask since you seem pretty good with anoles so I rescued my green anole lucky from a pet store he was malnutrition and dehydrated so I gave him a soak and he drank a ton and the skin wrinkles which are from dehydration went away but I have had him for two days and I have only seen him eat one medium size crickets and he’s a baby he’s pretty skinny I feed him some crested gecko food as I read that’s good any advice to get him to eat more bugs he’s scared of the tongs and sucks at hunting lol any tips

    • @Mastervulpes
      @Mastervulpes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If it’s eating then it should be fine, maybe offer it appropriately sized prey items, small crickets, small mealworms fruit lies ect. Speaking from my experience. Keep in mind I’m no vet by any means just a dude with too many lizards. Thanks for tuning in means the world 🌎

    • @erikdahlstrom3561
      @erikdahlstrom3561 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you bought him from a petstore you didn't save him. That petstore replaced the one you bought with two more. Never buy animals from stores or breeders that have them in poor conditions, you are just supporting what they are doing and causing more animals to be mistreated. Buy from reputable breeders only.

    i thought the tail waving was a threat display??
    i know leopard geckos do the same thing, when
    they do it, it means a threat display

    • @Mastervulpes
      @Mastervulpes  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It could mean a variety of things depending on the situation. In my case I’ve seen them tail waving when in close proximity to one another, when bothered by tank mates not respecting personal space and they’ll do it for what seems like no reason at all. As with your leopard gecko I’m sure tail waving plays a similar role of communication with one another. Whatever they are communicating surely can’t be too complex, probably simple body language to display mood or danger but who really knows 🤷🏾‍♂️
