GBO2: Sinanju Stein, City Ruins

Sinanju Stein! a 700 Raid that can do it all!
When this suit dropped a little under a year ago, people called it mid compared to banshee. Mostly because it didn't have a melee game on paper. And because at the time Unicorn and Phenex was OP as hell. So it had no issues dealing with Stein, or any raid for that matter till it was nerfed in December of last year. Once Unicorn was nerfed, Stein's true power was unleashed.
Stein had a very basic kit. 1 BR that had 8 shots with 50% stun build on each shot. while it doesn't seem like much, its actually really good as it lets you stun someone in 2 shots, 3 if they have DC1, and 4 shots if they have DC2. (ReZEL C-Type level 2). You have a bazooka that is similar/the same as OG Sinanju's zook. Its ballistic damage so you can get some big numbers with it, as not many do ballistic builds in 700. You then get your expected Vulcan's and Beam saber, the saber has a heavy attack. I wasn't kidding that the kit is very basic, just 4 weapons at a 700 cost suit is very simple. Especially if you compare it to suits like Nu, Phenex, FF Nu/Sazabi, etc. They all have multiple weapons at their disposal, at least 5+. However, Basic doesn't mean bad. Simple kits are easier to use, letting you fumble/ miss select less, and focus more on what to use at the time.
Stein also has 2 unique skills that let it do much more then expected. The first is Purge. At the start of each life you have 2 Fuel tanks that give Stein extra boost, in exchange however you cant dodge roll at all. So if your caught with 0 thrust your pretty much dead... in theory. In reality when someone uses the purge ability, Stein will do a back-flip, launching the tanks outwards in front of them. The tanks have a large AOE, and can be sent pretty far out. They heavy stagger whoever gets hit by them, Unless they are boosting or hit a buffer (Kyshatriya's binders), then its just a normal stagger. The I-frames the animation gives is VERY generous too, throughout the entire animation of the purge your in I-frames. So no one can attack you till the animation is over, and when it is over you are further away from them then before. The purge ability is pretty much a get out of Jail free card, used when your in a shitty situation, OR to deal extra damage to a enemy/group.
The second skill is the Increased melee attack/defense. At 50% HP or less Stein's gains a bio that increase all its melee attack and defenses by 50%. with out the loss of anything else. This makes its heavy attack hit much harder, and under 50% HP you can survive combos from suits that otherwise would of died too. It was the only raid to successfully survive a full pre-nerf Unicorn combo, while gaining bonuses while it happened. This is why you will see Stein pretty much almost delete Generals with its heavy attack when its under 50% HP. The extra damage goes a long way for it, and lets you take melee hits much easier. THAT DOESN'T MEAN YOU CAN YOLO!
Overall Stein went from a suit that was mid, to meta. It dominates all the raids as it can play both the ranged and melee game. While its melee isn't as strong as Banshee's in NT-D, Banshee cant play the ranged game compared to Stein. This is why Stein was preferred overall till FF Nu dropped. FF Nu actually gives Stein tough competition, FF Nu can do everything Stein does ranged wise and then some. Just with out the range of its rifle and no purge ability for FF Nu. In exchange FF Nu gets a boost and fire Zook, letting it be WAY more aggressive. (250m for Nu FF Rifle, Stein has 450m). Stein still beats FF Nu over melee power though. that 50% bonus carries a lot of power behind it.
In this fight i got really lucky with two supports on city Ruins. That is a rare treat in itself, but the fact that one was a FA 7th added to it. The Kshat actually was giving me a fight, expected with a suit that got an insane buff, but still manageable. The Hi-Nus were... well they existed? I really recommend Stein if you have it, its a solid Raid that can do everything you need to do. I regret not rolling for this suit almost a year ago when it came out. If i knew it was gonna be this meta I would of rolled for one. Oh well my alt got it now, so i can be content. This suit is easy mode.

It's my first 4* MS and it's really powerful. Stein can delete supports from afar with the bazooka and beam rifle.

I just got it. I knew how powerful it was before, but now having said power in my hands... Suit is filthy to use.

How do you change weapons so quickly? I don't understand.

By holding Down R1 then whatever other button you have paired to that weapon, (not sure on PC) it let's you hot swap weapons.
