  • Action Figures Disassembled: McFarlane Batman
    This is the first time I've ever taken apart a McFarlane DC Multiverse figure. It's pretty much what I expected except for the design of the crotch area and leg connections. I was pleasantly surprised while taking this figure apart. it wasn't a hard figure to take apart at all. I want to do more McFarlane figures in the future and get my hands on some Necas.

      Glad I could help. Hopefully I can start making videos again soon I've just been super busy since I moved from GA to NJ. Left my collection in storage down south and haven't bought anything new in a year. Ultimately my goal was always to help people. My Instagram link should be in the description I love it when people send me pics of what they've been able to make and I'd love to see your Batman.

    I like to use pliers for the knee/elbow pins. Gotta be careful though because if you squeeze too hard, you can leave indentations in the plastic. It really doesn't take much force though. Great video. 👍 I haven't taken a McFarlane apart yet and I like to know what I'm getting into if I need to.

    Thanks for the video. I noticed after you reassembled it, his right leg seems to sit a lot gappier than the left leg, like maybe it sits lower? Is there something wrong there and if so, does it cause any problems?

    • @609collector2
      @609collector2  ปีที่แล้ว

      I just looked at it after reading this. It is a bit lower but it doesn't cause any issue. I most likely didn't push it in far enough. Figure stands fine and is still tight

    Cool video man
    I recently broke my azbat wrist joint and I can get the peg out of the forearm socket. Any tips on how I might be able to do that? Thank you

    • @609collector2
      @609collector2  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Heat it up with really hot water and try to pry it out. Small flat head screw driver, tweezers or a needle may work. Just take your time and be careful not to warp the figure. Also be careful not to stab or cut yourself.
      Heating the wrist will make it easy to soften the plastic and get inside the wrist. If it gets a little out of shape you should be able to squeeze it back in to shape but I would recommend not applying too much force so you don't widen the wrist so much a new peg won't fit.
      Good luck

      @Jimmy Volakis I wouldn't know. It never hurts to reach put to customer service. If they can't help try ebay and if no luck reach out to the action figure community on Facebook and Instagram. There are always really cool people willing to help out fellow collectors with advise, parts and tips. Maybe someone would know where you could find a good replacement is McFarlane can't help, or maybe someone could hook you up.

      That will require you to think outside the box. You could sand it down, sculpt over it, or swap out for another upper torso that meets the same needs but requires less work.

    • @609collector2
      @609collector2  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not exactly sure what you're looking for. I will say 2 things.
      1. The wrist pegs in the hand pull out just like the ones in the feet. They're the simplest joints on the whole figure. As I stated one of mine broke right out of the box so I dint want to pull them out and have it fall apart.
      2. If no one shows how the shoulder comes apart it's because it's not meant to. Not sure how it's sealed but that peg coming out of the shoulder is just meant for up and down motion and it allows for 360° turning, that can be seen just by looking at it. The shoulder roll motion comes from the ball peg, which I showed.
      I'm not sure what you're looking for or why you'd need more but some things aren't meant to come apart. If you do cut one open I'd love to see what's in there myself.
