Since nobody seems to get it, there's a darn good reason why the food is being served ice cold... But only if you ask for it. She's ordering food inside an American airport. Domestic flights absolutely do NOT serve food on every flight, even for really long trips, because airlines are now about saving cost. Want a super-cheap plane ticket? Then you don't get any food. So domestic flights will allow you to carry your own meal on board if you want. If you say "ICE", then that means that you're buying food to eat on a plane flight later so you don't get hungry. It HAS to be nearly frozen because otherwise it would seriously food poison you from sitting out for hours.
Oh that's a good point. I was thinking a legitimate reason would be wanting to eat it later, esp in hot weather. Should thaw and be cool in a few hours.

I've never heard of a store clerk asking if you want a sandwich "hot" or "iced". Sometimes you can take sandwiches to go or eat them cold and you have to tell the clerk if want it heated or they won't ask. Sandwiches aren't always made fresh so they're in an open fridge (usually outside the counter), but if a clerk heard someone wanted their sandwich "iced" or "ice cold" I don't think they even have the means to make it any colder than it already is for the customer. But hey not from Vegas, and it gets hot out there so maybe they do things differently lol.
They were probably using "elite" English because it wasn't getting through to Miko 😂 I know places like Panera offers hot or cold sandwiches and some vold sandwiches can be toasted if you ask them, idk about a salmon sandwich tho

A cold sandwich is a normal one. Some places offer to heat your sandwich. They probably ask which you want because people can want the same thing hot and cold. It's just customer service.
@@TallulahSoie Maybe she's not recalling correctly, but she said they asked if she wanted "ice" or hot. That's not normal.
