Which would you say made the most difference to the sound? The decat, or the pro exhaust?
Thanks for the continued effort keeping us up to date! How does the sound in the video compare to real life? I am wondering if the decat will take the volume to a level that I may find too much for urban driving? The old ladies on the High streets of Surrey already look at me when the exhaust is open and in sport mode, which is all of the time!! Atb....
Hi mate, cheers, it's loud, camera picks most of it up but not all. If you have the valve open but in mid mode it would be fine but in sport mode it is a lot louder than stock, it would attract attention if that's the right phrase!! Still would do it though , it's fine with the valve shut just a tiny bit more volume and you can hear a bit more turbo which is great, cheers for the comments

Will be a few months before I do anything, I used to have an r53 cooper s convertible and I am interested in the new jcw conv as by the time I look at bigger brakes, intercooler for the challenge.... then the cost becomes negligible and the noise with the roof off must be even better!? It is sounding like that and a bit more! Great thing about the valve in the exhaust is I can have it closed when just driving normally so don't upset the neighbours then when I fancy a blast just tap a button, put it in to sport mode and all hell breaks loose!! Cheers

sorry for a long message. Just a question to you, I have a mini myself, exact same colour but not that beast like yours of course... Ummm. Do you also get wind noise and a vibrations on the frameless windows while driving at high speed or going over not so smooth roads etc.? If so, please let me know how it can be fix? is there anything I can do to get rid of it etc. thanks
Hi it sounds like your seals are broken that the window goes in to or your window is not housing correctly when you close the door, I don't get any wind noise from mine so I would take it to your dealer and get it checked, cheers
Your F56 is really making some good power with very little effort. Do they make tunes/kits for E85 for the F56 yet?
Hi, yes it's great power for not much money and effort, cooling tyres alloys and brakes are next, not sure if they have a E85 kit out yet, thanks for your comment

I take back some of my previous comments, I think the car can go louder without being too intrusive. Last couple of drives made me think that it does need a little bit more! Need to convince the Boss now, that will not be easy......
Ha ha ha!!! Thought you would come round to the idea, it's actually a great sound with the valve closed now as well, not loud at all but you can hear the turbo much more, get it booked in!! Let me know when you have convinced the boss ; )
We have an MX5 MK2 as a weekend toy. The other day someone smashed into it and fled the scene of the crime without leaving their details. Until then I had never really thought about it. Knowing the feeling of anger, I would leave my details.
do you have a supercharger or a turbo? from the pops and bangs it sounds like a supercharger but i am not familiar with the new F-series minis. I have a R56 turbo.
The f56 are 2.0 turbo, great engine, hopefully get more power out of it soon, would like to get up near 350bhp, cheers

I've got the JCW pro exhaust with the Bluetooth valve control, it's a great exhaust, have a look at Remus think they do a good exhaust system for your car and it's not to pricey, cheers
Just lik I would appreciate it if someone else would leave their details I would leave mine for sure. That's why you pay your insurance fee. And the sound of that exhaust? Man I could listen to that for hours!
Ha ha, it has really changed the sound, for the better, although I really have to keep the valve closed when I go to work at 05:30 in the morning, cheers
Fair enough, I think I am just getting too old and boring! I don't know what you think, but to me a 110 decibel Aston V12 seems acceptable and I am sure the 458 you drove was louder than our mini but at what stage or type of car does loud go from being pleasurable to slightly embarrassing?

Amazing sound! Its Rice Krispies all over again, just a bit more snap, crackle & pop ;-) Just a bit of friendly advice though - you might want to keep the speedometer out of your camera's view (or blurr it in your video?), especially if you pass a 40 sign and then rev up wayyy past 60 ;-) People actually got done because of stuff like this.
PS. Bumping into somebody's car and then driving off is a big No No. It happened to me once on a parking lot. Luckily it was seen by an off duty police woman (not in uniform), who stayed there and kept the faulty driver with her, until I got out of the shop. Police: your friend and helper! (for once ;-)

It gets louder as the exhaust heats up, more heat to ignite the fuel💥💥💥

nice one.. I'm hoping to take delivery of a new Cooper S this week with the JCW pack which is just new. I've a few things planned for it that will take it to 254bhp and can't wait. Going to wait though until she's run in properly. The car looks great.. fair play to you and keep the content coming ;)

Yes valve open and in sport mode, in mid it won't pop but still sounds nice, cheers

Went to the chip shop the other night and in the car park there's a spot where you can park round entrance, leaving only enough room for me to get my car out. So I got in my car after putting the food in the passenger seat and just started reversing in and bam in the time I had got in the car put my seatbelt on some twat had parked behind me blocking my only way out, at this point I was seriously pissed so I stormed into the chip shop which by now had a big queue asked everyone who owned this car weirdly no one admitted it odd, so I went back outside and checked damage to find my rear plastic bumper was pretty scratched because I hit the kia sportage diamond cut wheel causing no damage. In the end I had to illegally drive down a path just to get out, tell me what you think, I know I should have paid more attention but I really wasn't expecting anyone to block me in.

how fast does it takes to get to 100km/h?
I've not done any 0-100 times yet, waiting for the temperature to get a bit better as it will just spin the front tyres if not warm enough, there will be a video of the testing coming soon, cheers
Lots of resonance.... good video and exhaust note sounds good but the pops just sound awful, just too much imho.

This is one of those questions that everyone says they would do the right thing but in actual fact they are lying through their teeth, just like how many people clean up after their dogs they all say they do but there is dog shit everywhere they only do the right thing if someone is watching.
