Absolutely cops-out on the solution to the locked-room mystery that's the essence of the story's puzzle.

The story has very little to do with Clayton Rawson's excellent book. I was surprised to see that Ross Harte and Merlini were removed from the story. And The Great Merlini, who is the main character in this and other three books, was cut from the story; while Michael Morgan (plaid by Robert Young) must be Ross Harte.. Makes absolutely no sense.

Very entertaining, though, with a good cast.

I'm sure they were uncomfortable (even in the 80s contacts were thick and uncomfortable plastic)

How come you post a movie, but! you don't even bother giving a movie description? I like to know, before I watch a movie, what the storyline plot is, beforehand, otherwise I'll pass on it, and find some other movie, that has/gives a description, to watch instead. Just saying, ugh

I can think of two reasons, Often times when someone uploads a movie they try to not include too many details for fear it may be removed, secondly most people who are into these older films have already researched them and know the synopsis of the story before hand. I hope that helps.

@@charliedontsurf70 Well said and well put. I easily found the plot of this movie by opening another window online & looking it up at wikipedia.

Tod Browning was the director. He directed "Freaks" and a lot of the great old Lon Chaney Sr. films. This was his last film.
