Don't get it. So why you didn't use Ukrainian language. Ukrainians talking in English with eastern European accent is worse than ukrainians talking with Australian accent. BTW gen z do not have eastern european accent.
FYI Tac sprinting takes you out of the animation which is why you’re not getting the benefits not a bug just a skill issue. I 100% agree controller kinda sucks can’t turn on enemies quick enough luckily M&K is great on series X. Definitely gets buggier the longer you play
14:20. What an American comment :) In Ukraine there is no mandatory home insurance and people's savings are often not large. If your apartment is blown up - it's usually only your problem. Skif's desire to recharge the artifact and try to sell it if the price allows him to buy a new house is not a question at all. Especially since he is a lonely man. For example, I lost everything because of the Russians... Just give me the artifact and show me where the entrance to the zone is, I'm tired of being homeless😂
That's fair, although in America, people tend to rent apartments, not own them. So he'd just be out of there scot free lol I'm sorry to hear that you've lost everything. I'm sure Skif's story hits close to home for you.
Yeah, Stalker 2 could potentially be the best game ever if they keep fixing it up (and obviously add A-life etc) and I know this because despite thinking it's unfinished and kind of shitty and broken, I also can't stop playing it and it's like... not a good game due to not being finished, but it's also amazing.
i have about 75 hours and i finished the strelok ending, but i found a way into generators and it feels like one of the most genuine experiences the stalker games can offer, no mutants, very few bandits (that spawn randomly) and even though the region has no purpose in the game, it feels the most atmosphere heavy, with a massive storm upon entry and a sort of odyssey of challenges and looking for the next step to actually get to the generators that completely immersed me for 3 hours nonstop.
I dont agree on the voice acting. The original STALKER games had terrible voice acting. I am from Eastern Europe and when I hear fake accents it is terrible.
Western dеgrоіds would rather conveniently have English butchered than actually listen to the original VA, normies also like to call this сlоwnеrу "immersive" 🤷🏻♂️
Did you prefer the random assortment of accents found in the english version? I can't imagine you would. Unless you speak Ukranian and played in your native language. As someone on the other side of the world, I guess I'm less off put by the bad accents. I found them endearing lol
@@Rehabz4QuitterzI don't really understand that complaint. Wouldn't there be stalkers from all over the world heading into the zone by the time this takes place?
So, maybe it's lost on people as to what Skif was doing, but here's what happened: Skif's apartment/home is destroyed by the Alpha artifact due to SIRCAA performing an experiment (you find out about this experiment later) which caused it to appear in his home from anomalous energy. Skif, being in the STALKER world, knows what the Zone is, especially given his military background (explained in Skif's journal and later in the game). Skif gets into contact with Dr. Hermann (the guy at the beginning with the device, as well as a character from previous titles) and they work out a deal: Skif will recharge this rare artifact and sell it to Hermann for a new home. Sadly, the Zone (and other forces) interfered and it resulted in him losing his gear and having to go much further into the Zone. While people tote it as a "mundane" reason for going to the Zone... It's a perfect reason. Most STALKERs go to the Zone for money. You can become extremely rich just off of artifact hunting, and most don't intend to stay longer than necessary but they, eventually, do. I get it's not perfectly explained, but that's basically the idea as to why Skif is in the Zone. Guy just wants a new home and selling the artifact he got was his ticket to getting his home back.
I think that's fair, but I feel like it would be more "Stalker" of him to just go in there to get rich regardless of the apartment exploding. But overall, I ended up really connecting with the story despite not enjoying the first 3rd of it
@rehabz5Quitterz At the 6:06 mark, you talk about not being able to move after a boss fight... are you referring to the Faust boss fight?? I had a similar issue when i chose to "let him help you". I was able to fix that bug issue by completely exiting the game.
Yes, it was the boss fight. But for me, it happened leading up to the fight while I was still fighting my way up to him. I don't think I tried restarting the game entirely, that may have fixed the issue. I just assumed it was locked into my save. Either way, it eventually fixed itself but it was really annoying lol
I need to say one thing - as I was looking at endgame credits and names of people both alive and dead, most of whom I never knew and some of them are my real life long-time friends I know, it seems for ages, as I started with playing D&D with them, I felt absolutely destroyed. One of game's writers was DM in one campaign I played long time ago. I left that game because it was too dark and hopeless for me, I generally don't like that turn of depressing events, you know. But this had same notes - world and characters indifferent to massive events that happen around. Good people die because they don't belong the world that's too evil for them. With our general look on life, Stalker is mostly - a vertical slice of Ukrainian mentality. How fractured we are, how ready we are to go for anything that gives us drive to go forward, and... as Dvupalov said - if we don't make choices, the choice will be made for us and we may not like it.
Wow, thanks for sharing this. People love to over-hype or tear down Stalker 2, but it's incredible what the devs were able to do despite the real world tragedies they had to deal with. I hope things get better for all of you in Ukraine
U said 2 of my favoruite things of SOC: music and skyboxes...and i have to tell you that in the MOD ANOMALY there are songs equally good to the original ones, and also they fit perfect in the game
Anomaly is definitely on my list of games to check out. Music and skyboxes just add to the immersion. Absolutely loved it in the original trilogy, and I grew to love them in stalker 2
Yeah, I have 100 hours now. I never experienced any dark issue probably because I’m using HDR and it seems to really brighten the lights and darken the dark which adds to the atmosphere for sure making flashlights necessary in any area that’s not naturally lit, which is very immersive. I definitely hit that wall, though where the bugs and certain ones just can’t be excused and are starting to get very frustrating. I have enjoyed all 100 hours of the game and yes, some bugs have caused hiccoughs but have not stopped me from wanting to play more or experience more. Sadly, the biggest bug that annoys me is the frame generation bug. Where I have to restart the game between an hour to two hours of gameplay simply because entering my PDA or entering hubs, gradually increases the VRAM until it’s unplayable. Such a simple issue yet frame generation to me is a no-brainer when the CPU is the bottleneck…
My gut feeling about the "random stuff not happening" at the start, I think the game slowly increases the "random" event chance with no missions active as you progress through the main story, which they can then use to know where you're at gear wise, maybe ? Only guess on my part, but that's how it felt to me.
@@Rehabz4Quitterz I started a second playthrough, once out of the lesser zone I went to yaniv. The journey was way quieter than when I did it in my first playthrough. Of course, it might also still be RNG. Also, some locations are so much quieter without a certain faction being around :p
I have 104 hours in the game. Since the latest patch my story is broken, most of my side missions also won't complete. I have all end game gear, I even found a way into pripiat. Not the best experience if I'm being honest.
That sounds terrible. I guess I just got lucky that I didn't get any truly game breaking bugs that broke my save. If that happened to me, it would definitely affect my opinion of the game
Bro I’m at 90 h just bc I had to make reload so many times bc missions were broken and done I wasn’t able to do at all :/ still half way through the game
I would say that while the Spark/ward and Faust endings seemed to make sense to me(zealots generally all want to "spread the word" so to speak) , strelok's ending doesn't. Closing the zone to anybody coming in makes a ton of sense... Trapping everyone else in... That's just stupid and antithetical to his supposed objective. The monolith is a much smaller shadow of its former self, between, freedom, duty, the ward, Malachite and and IPSF, they are greatly our numbered and out matched. Plus guns, ammo,.food.booze and medical supplies are all shipped into the zone en masse, while artifacts and research flow out. Everyone on the inside will either starve or die from radiation, injury.. hell dispensary without the outside support. All strelok has done is put a target on his back, and given all the factions a reason to wipe him out. Had he let everyone leave if they wished, only those that "truly belong" will stay behind and the zone would heal faster.
Well explained, I didn't think of it that way. I didn't feel great about the Strelok ending, and your explanation just adds to it. Just feels like the guy I wanted to fight for became the bad guy
@Rehabz4Quitterz I think even if the whole point the developers were going for, simply having strelok expel everyone from the zone and sealing it all for himself/his own purposes would have made more sense. Why trap all of your enemies inside with you, and give them all a very good reason to kill? Unless that's is actually his plan for some reason, sort of like Dr Manhattan in the watchmen. 🤷
Okay, so... 117h played on account, 100h is mine (my brother also plays on my account), im from Ukraine and i want to compare my experience to your 1. Voice acting in game, i had no problems with that because, you know, Ukrainian acting is kinda nice imo, maybe too clean sometimes, but overall good 2. Immersion, overall, I've been immersed most of the time, and when my immersion dies it's mostly because of my interet and the fact that Nvidia Now is lagging sometimes 3. Bugs, that f-ing bug with that animations, omg, most annoying one tbh, other bug are more or less okay, only some are annoying, usually if some quest is bugged as sh, but sometimes that just entertained me or even added some immersion, like when i just completed the quest with saving the village from the monolith attack, but thought "and that's it? They will just abandon their targets? They are Monolith, cmon" and after like 5 minutes i hear "monolith killed as all" and I'm like, "oh, that's kinda cool, i like it" and that bug with /give SVD, i remember i got 6 of them at once and tbh, not that big of the deal, but i think it's somehow connected to certain locations because in some areas I'm getting same weapons over and over again 4. Exploring, i absolutely love exploration in that game, even after 100h im still constantly finding new locations and stashes everywhere i go, i even have like 5 big locations i never truly tried to explore I'll end here because i only got one ending and i don't want to spoil any other endings for myself, but so far i absolutely love how you have entirely different missions if you are sliding with different factions and i love how dialogue can just turn your words and actions against you in the way you may haven't expected, most of the games i played i my life did not offered my anything like that
I'll add here that i love ambience, even tho in Call of Pripyat in Pripyat ambience is been better and peak, i absolutely love those anomalous broadcast parts of ambient in CoP
"....for whatever reason, it felt like nothing really attacked you when you were out roaming the zone." Should someone tell him about A Life being turned off ? Lol
I could be wrong, but I thought A-Life had to do with the way NPCs interacted with the world, as in they get spawned in and it tracks them around the world. But A-life being turned off doesn’t mean there are no enemies on the map
@@Rehabz4Quitterz, Not only that, but faction behavior and random events that result from player actions. The system is off. The game is not finished, there are still a few years or so of work to be done☹️
About voicing, is there any game where good eng voicing sounds not American/British? That would be strange if for example in Witcher you would have eng voicing with polish accent on so on. I played in Ukrainian (as it is my native) and in some moments it is awesome, f.e Varan voicing in terms of how a bandit should sound, I don’t think that you can do the same stuff in any other language, it just would not work
I've never played the Witcher, but while it's a polish dev tam, I don't think the games take place in Poland? I think it takes place in the UK but I could be wrong. Either way, playing in Ukrainian is by far the better experience. Could just be a nit pick on my end, but I just couldn't get down with the English voices
@ yeah, I guess it is not fully in Poland, rather some mix of Slavic medieval Europe, as it has different territories. But anyway it is not British or American, while voicing is such, you can find videos like “characters and voice actors” and check. I would say that it a world standard, if it is not a real world setting like GTA where the character is Serbian - everything mostly will be British/American
Birthday hours of the game thought everything was great until I got further in the game and realize this is broken as hell but for some reason I couldn't stop playing it lot of things still need to be fixed in my opinion like for its instance any gun with a railing system on the top of it can take any kind of mounted optic with a rail on it to attach it to the top of your gun so why I can only put certain scopes on certain guns is beyond me that's my biggest pet peeve of the game really other than the a life that I really don't know anything about cuz I'm new to stalker
Hard disagree on "made to be played on MKB" I have never seen a game butcher the attempt of trying to make PC controls this hard, just the fact that you're forced to use Hold binds, leaning has to first be bound to Q&E because by default its automated and QE is taken by consumables, forced hold bind to unload rifles on the ground, the list goes on and on.
Yeah I played a bit on PC just to try it out, and the control layout was a little odd. Not sure why they didn't just copy the old games (although I remember controls changing throughout the trilogy as well)
If they released as a beta or early access nobody would have room to complain about paying for a half finished product. Then they had the audacity to ask for GOTY votes... Game is gonna take a year minimum for them to finish it and complete Alife. 100$ scam
Definitely a long road ahead, but I guess after so many delays they felt like they needed to just release. Could’ve been pressure from Microsoft too. But either way it needed more time
Say Skif is a Ukrainian, why would other Ukrainians speak English to him with a heavy Eastern European accent? For me, that was breaking my emersion in the first trilogy. It's like listening to an anime dub where characters speak English with a japanese accent.. why?:D
Well I think we can all agree that at the end of the day this is a video game. No one would be speaking English in this scenario obviously. I'd honestly be more open to the idea of them making you play in Ukrainian and just let the subtitles be in everyone's native language.
100 hours in totally unfinished and unpolished game, even without one of the main mechanics in form of a-life lol. Here is your Darwin award, well done 🗿
Go play gamma, it's still a decent game considering how much shit they went thru to make it. Don't gotta try and take away from someone else's experience
Lol I was really down on the experience at first. But I decided to stick it out till the end and really loved the game despite its flaws by the end of it
But don't you play in your native language? I feel like you wouldn't hear the fake accent anyway lol. I'd rather be forced to play in Ukranian than to have everyone talking like the game takes place in America. I hear more Russian accents in my neighborhood than in Stalker 2 on English
I fail to understand the voice complaints. if you wanted to hear Ukrainian accents then go play the game in Ukrainian. How many Ukrainian natives speakers do you think there are who speak both languages and aren't.. idk fighting the war to protect their home country or some shit? Like hello? You want 1-2 guys to voice the entire game and have that real OG oblivion feel?
I feel like it's not uncommon to want to play the game in your native language, and so I'd prefer playing in English but having the NPCs sound local to the region the game takes place. I'm open to the idea that they needed to go the route they did due to complications from the war. But I'm not sure they confirmed that was the case. I guess I was assuming it was a creative decision, and in that case I think it was a bad choice.
Spends four minutes complaining about English localisation and then says its better playing in Ukrainian, you don't say, lol. Obviously your an American so it must be hard to grasp English is not the only language on the planet and shockingly there might not be plenty of talented English voice actors in a war zone!
I feel like no matter where you're from, you tend to play video games in your native language...it's not like I "chose" English either, it defaulted to it. I went out of my way to play in Ukrainian because I felt like the English voices took me out of the experience. But I still would've preferred to not have to read every line of dialogue in a 50+ hour game. I don't think this should be a hot take lol
@@Rehabz4Quitterz I'm English and I will always instantly switch to a game in its native language right at the start if fits regardless of the quality of localization. Atomic Heart and Ghostwire Tokyo are two recent examples, seeing a load of people speak English in games where its totally out of place is awful. Problem is English speaking people always expect everyone everywhere to speak perfect English no matter what, its laughable.
Graphics is only good thing about this game. British accent in the game is also trash why not to just take old cheeki breeki stalker from old games. My rating on this game is 5 out of 10 at max. Specially compared with old games and modpaks we have . It's a big 👟 to fill and they couldn't do it.
I think it is mostly better than old stalker games in almosr evey category, and yeah, couldn't stand the vo, do went 🇺🇦 language. Full mods like Anomoly and gamma are not proper Stalker games, this is. Not to say they aren't great, I've played lots of Anomoly, I just much prefer this. Once a life is improved, and interesting mods come out, this will get even better.
@kivati stop that not real stalker games lol. Anomaly is actually way more stalker game than actual stalker games. It has everythin. Story, hard survival, food and drink and sleep actually means something. So hardly disagree. Stalker 2 is bad game compared

I'm 100 hours and still have loads left to do.
Everyone plays at their own pace. Always good to take your time and enjoy the world, but after 100 hours I felt like I saw everything I needed to see
Okay, so... 117h played on account, 100h is mine (my brother also plays on my account), im from Ukraine and i want to compare my experience to your
1. Voice acting in game, i had no problems with that because, you know, Ukrainian acting is kinda nice imo, maybe too clean sometimes, but overall good
2. Immersion, overall, I've been immersed most of the time, and when my immersion dies it's mostly because of my interet and the fact that Nvidia Now is lagging sometimes
3. They are Monolith, cmon" and after like 5 minutes i hear "monolith killed as all" and I'm like, "oh, that's kinda cool, i like it" and that bug with /give SVD, i remember i got 6 of them at once and tbh, not that big of the deal, but i think it's somehow connected to certain locations because in some areas I'm getting same weapons over and over again
4. Exploring, i absolutely love exploration in that game, even after 100h im still constantly finding new locations and stashes everywhere i go, i even have like 5 big locations i never truly tried to explore
I'll end here because i only got one ending and i don't want to spoil any other endings for myself, but so far i absolutely love how you have entirely different missions if you are sliding with different factions and i love how dialogue can just turn your words and actions against you in the way you may haven't expected, most of the games i played i my life did not offered my anything like that
I'll add here that i love ambience, even tho in Call of Pripyat in Pripyat ambience is been better and peak, i absolutely love those anomalous broadcast parts of ambient in CoP
Thanks for sharing your experience! Glad that your enjoying Stalker 2 :)
I think it's sacrilegious to play stalker right now. This game needs an extra year in the oven to get the full experience.
Yeah it definitely would’ve benefited from another year. Even an extra couple weeks of patches helped a lot. But I still enjoyed it for what it was
"....for whatever reason, it felt like nothing really attacked you when you were out roaming the zone." Should someone tell him about A Life being turned off ?
Gud hantin STOLKA!
Have nice day
100 hour meta in play
Yeah the game gets more unpolished the deeper you get into the story as well. Tons of issues for sure, hopefully it continues to improve over time
Imagine if they finished the game lol
Hard disagree on "made to be played on MKB" I have never seen a game butcher the attempt of trying to make PC controls this hard, just the fact that you're forced to use Hold binds, leaning has to first be bound to Q&E because by default its automated and QE is taken by consumables, forced hold bind to unload rifles on the ground, the list goes on and on.
Yeah I played a bit on PC just to try it out, and the control layout was a little odd. Not sure why they didn't just copy the old games (although I remember controls changing throughout the trilogy as well)
Dumbest review of the game I’ve seen so far 🤡
I'm sorry you didn't like it bruvvvf
Put it on ukrainian audio english subtitles. Way doper
Did that around 8 hours in and the game was instantly 100 times better
If they released as a beta or early access nobody would have room to complain about paying for a half finished product. Then they had the audacity to ask for GOTY votes... Game is gonna take a year minimum for them to finish it and complete Alife. 100$ scam
Definitely a long road ahead, but I guess after so many delays they felt like they needed to just release. Could’ve been pressure from Microsoft too. But either way it needed more time
Of course it's copyright and paste chernobyl zone hasn't nor will change for thousands of years, its not like GTA 😂
Hahah I had no problem with it, but some people were disappointed. The zone is what you make of it
Say Skif is a Ukrainian, why would other Ukrainians speak English to him with a heavy Eastern European accent? For me, that was breaking my emersion in the first trilogy. It's like listening to an anime dub where characters speak English with a japanese accent.. why?:D
Uhh, because the audio is set to english. Thats why.
@basedworldbillionaire- precisely. If Skif speaks English, why would NPCs speak broken English to him :D
Don't gotta try and take away from someone else's experience
ur toxic
Lol I was really down on the experience at first. But I decided to stick it out till the end and really loved the game despite its flaws by the end of it
saying this as a Ukrainian: the fake Slavic accent in the English dub was disgusting, I'm glad they got rid of it.
Lol. Sounds better for you but worse for native english speakers bad accents that dont even make sense being there
But don't you play in your native language?
@ I would actually prefer broken English, it would be much more fitting
@@Rehabz4Quitterz Each to his own mate, I prefer the native language.
How can you complete the game is Broken🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Why not use Ukraine voice over?
Give me Cheeki Breeki Stalker
Is it time to finally try out the stand alone Stalker mods?
1 like = 1 prayer for a video on Anomaly/Gamma
