Why Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is the PERFECT Adaptation
For most of my life, video games based on popular movies were nothing more than cash grabs. These low-effort products took advantage of consumers' excitement for beloved IPs, aiming to make a quick buck with little care for quality. And while that is still prevalent today (King Kong), we’ve come a long way and now see games that genuinely stand out as worthwhile experiences (Guardians of the Galaxy). But nothing I have experienced has done a better job than Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. From the stellar voice acting and meticulously crafted environments to the engaging gameplay and immersive story, Indy’s newest escapade feels like a natural extension of Disney’s universe. While there are issues with combat and stealth, there’s no denying that the Great Circle truly encapsulates what it would feel like to become Indiana Jones. Hidden beneath layers of nostalgia is an experience that stands tall on its own merits, regardless of the IP. And that’s what makes Indiana Jones and the Great Circle the PERFECT Adaptation.

I Played 100 Hours of Stalker 2...Here are my thoughts

I played 100 Hours of Stalker 2. I played through all 4 endings, completed every side activity, grabbed all the arch-artifacts, and stopped at every opportunity imaginable to explore the mysterious zone. While there are still 8 pesky achievements that I failed to complete, meaning I guess I can’t say I 100%’d the game, I feel like I can confidently say I seeked out every single facet of the zon...

Some might say that a sequel should build upon the foundation laid by the original, taking the concepts and mechanics that were well perceived and fleshing them out to make them better. Nah bro this is Joseph seed from wish😭
hahaha you're not wrong
The game is big but it's empty I don't know how to explain it but there's always cool things to see but there's barely any side missions other than a stash there's really not much reason to visit a most location on the map.
Yeah I definitely feel like they bit off more than they could chew, with really high ambitions that would've been hard to meet even without having to develop the game in a war zone. But there are a ton of side activities that are worth doing imo (the arch artifacts were by far my favorite)
The game is a buggy mess, voice acting using AI, lack of character depth. It's just awful.
Did they use AI for voice actors? I didn't hear about that. I was down on the experience at first, but as I spent more time with it, I really grew to love it despite its flaws
@@Rehabz4Quitterz It is as you said, when you switch to Ukrainian audio, the game sounds better. In english, if you listen closely, you will notice something off with the dub (just as weird as the lack of an ukrainian accent). EDIT: Nowadays it's rare to see a game studio that actually pays game testers, which is why most of the modern games are buggy at launch. They are using customers as game testers to reduce costs, which I find to be quite immoral.
Is it me or did he miss one of the halo 3's? (The one from 2009)
This is my "Halo MCC Shrine" and at the time of making the video, Halo 3 ODST wasn't part of MCC
jesus christ, you can tell bro never spoke to an eastern european if he thinks og games have good voice acting
I didn't say it was good, I said I liked that the people sound like they're local to the region.
@@Rehabz4Quitterz thats the thing, it doesnt sound like that, it sounds like a stereotype
(the video is really good otherwise btw, don't take this as a hate comment shits good)
@@sqarex2658 I appreciate it. I get why people don’t like the OG voice acting. But I can’t see how anyone thinks the modern voice cast is a better alternative. It just took me out of the experience
@@Rehabz4Quitterz oh you mean like that? it could be something related to the russo-ukrainian war maybe idk, thats the reason why there isn't a russian VC option for the newest game
I'm over a hundred hours. about several days on each run. I've beaten the game twice, secret ending and Strelok ending, going for Spark ending then Ward. Playing this all on Veteran difficulty. I fucking love this game. I fucking love the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series. The zone itself is so amazing to me, both a wonder and terror, and how much I deeply wish it was reality could be odd to some, I wish life was this interesting. I've come to love the concept of the zone even more then Strelok, I really can not wait to see what they put out for dlc or even if we get side expansions like what clear sky and call of pripyat. I'm hyped as fuck for S.T.A.L.K.E.R's future.
Love the energy, I feel like I've connected with the series in a similar way. Definitely looking forward to playing the standalone mods on PC.
I stopped playing it the game has to many bugs on PC
Damn that's tough. I ran into a lot of bugs, but luckily I didn't hit anything game breaking where I felt like I couldn't continue. Hopefully you jump back in once they clean the game up a little more
@Rehabz4Quitterz and my game was a Christmas gift 🎁
Problem with using items with quick action is actually an feature :). You can't use quick items when running. The animation would sometimes start but effect will not be applied when you push SHIFT (run) in the middle of the animation.
I appreciate the comment, but I played a lot of Stalker 2. You can absolutely cancel the end of the animation after the item is applied if timed correctly. The failure to use items with quick action happened to me endless times when I let the full animation play out as well.
@@Rehabz4Quitterz Sure, I thought you just didn't notice the fact, you can't use quick items and run at once. This bug never happened to me. Strange. Anyways awesome video. Have a good time playing.
@@dannykollar appreciate it bro. Good hunting stalker
My bet is these are all the "false" endings and the dlc will give us rhe "real" one
That would be wild, although that wasn't the case in any of the original games so it would be unprecedented. I'm not sure how people would react to the "true" ending being behind a paywall
@Rehabz4Quitterz might work out ok if it enabled freeplay, or an ng+ (especially if it had some new stuff to find), though it would need to also be pretty damn good to avoid a whole lot of complaints lol
Good game
I’d give it two thumbs up
Its worse when now. Just nobody plays and and it you just rocket up and down
Hahaha hey at least they fixed the hacking problem. All the hackers left to play more popular games 😂
Dude have you changed the vocie to original (Ukrine)
Yes, I did around 8 hours in and never looked back. Stalker 2 was instantly 100 times better
I had to turn my gamma on my monitor through the roof because the flashlight was useless in the dark if I didn’t.
I turned the gamma to 100 in the game because I was blind at night time before that lol
You know what pisses me off the most is the fact the game doesn’t give you priorities on quests, like for example, I had basically 2 main missions at one point. “Like the good old days” and “hornets nest” I did hornets nest first then got the next one to go to chemical plant. I go there then the “good old days quest” vanishes? Like how does a main quest vanish or how do you not let me complete it. I would have to say this happened to me like 3 times atleast. Or if you get to far in main quest the game will completely wipe the side missions you haven’t done. Like give me a warning or something. Go to far away, oops that quest is failed or that quest disappears. Like WTF?
That didn't happen to me, but I did have certain things glitch out that locked me out of content. Like when I went to save Zalissya, the doors were glitched shut and I couldn't save them so I just lost the settlement forever
@@Rehabz4Quitterz yeah that is another one, which happens around the same time. If you go to the chemical plant which is the same time period as saving zalissya then it will fail that quest as well and lock you out. I don’t know about the spark side of things. I have only down ward. I have talked to others and they said they were able to go to the north slag heap and the quest didn’t fail but go to far west and you will get a fail. Happens to me once I reloaded 5 hours worth of saves. Yeah it is a joke. Like atleast put a warning saying hey don’t leave or you will not be able to save them. And zalyssiya is important because there is no place to find a tech even close by to that. What you have to go to the ship in the swamp? That is a long damn trek. Which is another problem in game. Even huffing around guns is hard as is, then you have these long quest in the middle of bfe where you are kicked to crap and you come back to a 30-50 k repair cost to repair all your gear. Atleast, When you save lens, Hamster, warlock, gaffer and the doc they give you 23 coupons for sausage and better rates for repairs. Other places only have 22 or less. The other question I lost was the one crossing the pontoon bridge. If you don’t go west during that time, you East to explore you will also faile that one then have a partial compete of it, which jacks up the story line. Because I came back and talked to the colonel but the guys r assault the base didn’t load in lmao. This dev team rushed so many things. Early access gsme is the best I can say about this lol
You know what pisses me off the most is the fact the gsme doesn’t give you priorities on quests, like for example, I had basically 2 main missions at one point. “Like the good old days” and “hornets nest” I did hornets nest first then got the next one to go to chemical plant. Yeah I was blind too going in and I absolutely love the series and apparently stalker 2 is one of the best games ever made which is awesome considering what the devs had to go through to get it out. Who's going to play it on a series X but I don't know if I can wait I think I might just play it on the cloud on my og x box one haha pretty amazing you even can
It was rough with optimization/glitches/etc. But I pushed through and really loved my experience with it. I played on the series x though, the OG xbox one might explode lol
I love this game but that love is somewhat tempered by software hangs accessing inventory/stash, bugged quests and learning when to explore (hint: do it prior to a decision point). What I have learned from the Zone is equally true in the X-Files: Trust No One
Yeah all of that was definitely a drag during my journey with Stalker 2. But it didn't completely ruin it for me like it seemingly did for others
@@Rehabz4Quitterzany of y’all accidentally drop weapons trying to put them in inventory only to run away and realize you lost it. Like they need to fix that. You should be able to just fling it out. Should be a hard button coded in.

I've clocked 148 hours of game time and am currently on my second playthrough, making different decisions this time. Having played all three previous games, I can confidently say this one feels massive, with all the maps combined into one enormous world. Despite the bugs and optimization issues, I absolutely love it. I'm playing on Veteran difficulty, and I really enjoy how bloodsuckers are now more prevalent, making encounters much more intense. The NPC interactions are also incredible-every encounter feels meaningful. Even after so much time, I still haven’t explored the entire map, which says a lot about how expansive this game is, even on a second run.
I couldn't agree more!
PC has more issues. Such as memory leaks and massive framerate issues in HUB areas with lots of NPCs. Rostok has a memory leak that uses all my 64GB DDR5 Ram. 99% memory usage on task manager after my game freezes in Rostok. Artifacts that spawn/bug 4 meters under the terrain. Random weapons lying on the ground that can't be interacted with. Spawn system that throws spawns at you infinitely. You can't clear a location and a lot of the time you do not have time to finish looting a mob of enemies you just killed before a new mob or more spawn. Encumbrance system and repair system are too strict and anti-fun at the moment. Double asset spawning issues. Sometimes stashes have duplicate spawns. I've also seen buckets/items and NPCs double spawn into each other. Some blueprints that are not in the game or bugged. Emission shelters that do not work in the Swamp. 75% of the game is night time and the nights are too dark. Your flashlight sucks. It does not illumimate far enough in front of you. There is also no night vision capability for Skif. Enemies have aim bot aim and wall hack. Lack of details or explanation for items and what they do. Mainly artifacts. A reputation/faction system that is hard to keep track. How do you check how much reputation you have with a faction and how to gain more? Except for the vague faction icon colours there is no way.
Well they've been hard at work patching, so let's hope they chip away at your list lol
@@Rehabz4Quitterzthey only patched exploits for single player game…mostly instead of fixing broken quests or broken mechanics. Like who the f care about a money glitch how about you fix hard locked quests that disappear or the fact enemies a crap can be stuck or hovering in air, or their faces or voices switch.
I didn't even play it with a controller on Series S. I used keyboard and mouse. It is much more fun now
I honestly wish I thought to try that lol.
I just hit 107 hours and finished my first playthrough at around 104 but explored the whole map and I THINK explored most things in my first playthrough. Took genuinely forever so massive props for knocking all endings out in that time :) I did mostly walk everywhere though, took combat very slowly (and took most fights I could) and I didn’t skip any dialogue so that could be why 😅
I just started my 2nd playthrough and this time I have mods on - about 20+ - so maybe it’ll take even longer
Yeah the map is huge and takes a long time to see everything. It's a shame most people won't get to see the best parts of the game, nothing beats the arch anomalies imo
@ I agree, I found all of them in my first play through just by exploring (no TH-cam guides) and I must say they were some of the most engaging puzzles and platforming problems I’ve experienced in a game in a while, big shoutout to weird pot I was stuck for half an hour on that one😅
I think the guy that mentioned how the map pretty much stayed the same across the games doesn’t realize that they all take place in Chernobyl/pripyat lol
Hahaha right? The zone doesn't move, it's always in the same place
@@Rehabz4Quitterz Thats the charm for me, its all about one location, and they pull it off really well. Now heres a thought, maybe the next game could include a "conflict" destroying parts of the zone or altering certain areas like real life chernobyl. (from the war currently still going on). A stretch but an idea to make the games resemble real life chernobyl. It also would make it more "fresh" for those that play with subway surfers in the background.
Sad
The game? Or the fact that I played 100 hours of it 😂
I switched to Ukrainian as soon as I heard the goofy English voices. The voice acting of Strelok, Skif, Scar and everyone else is so much more passionate and convincing than the English dub. Strelok and Skif sound like cool, badasses, while Scar has this really devious tone. Subs not dubs, brah.
Switching to Ukrainian instantly made me enjoy the game more. But there’s a ton of people that prefer the British accents. I just couldn’t get behind it
Forgive me father
You have been forgiven
The last 4-5 hours really stopped this being my GOTY. Felt so rushed with bad level design, and seemed like all the little issues in the game came to light. Poor flashlight making large and dark indoor sections laborious...10 FPS when people are spamming grenades at you and this in turn screws movement up... could have been cool if they had moments with mutants causing chaos with the soldiers maybe but not featured at all. Just all frustrating. And might be just me but had no idea what was going on in the last part of the story. Such a shame as this lesson has been learned in so many games but seems devs can't keep the essence of the game in these sections. I know I'm not going to enjoy a game when I get to 'the point of no return' and I'm stuck in some linear and tedious hell. Also weird how little happens in Pripyat, apart from some frustrating battles with two sides that look almost identical in the dark...Still worth a play if you want a big, immersive game experience like I craved...but do everything and make the most of it early on before the last sections. Anyone else feel this way or was the ending good for you?
I definitely felt a little underwhelmed by the endings. But I feel like that had more to do with them all having a caveat and there not really being a "good" ending. Gameplay wise I didn't have as big an issue as you did...and I did the ending part 4 times for all 4 endings. Some were better than others (since there are small changes to each). The shining ending was by far my favorite and had a much different tone than the others (very spiritually based). I feel like it's always a bit shocking going from an open world where you can explore at your own pace and then moving into a linear finish that you're locked into
I requested refund after 9 hours because I couldnt progress the story because of the bugs.... They dont deserve our money for beta testing their games...
I mean that's fair, you aren't wrong. I was just lucky and didn't run into any completely game breaking bugs. Everything I dealt with was mostly minor (and sometimes major) annoyances. But despite the game being unpolished, I came out the other end really enjoying my time with Stalker 2
Voss is a weenie
Troy baker is in every game
It fits in with the movies so well
It basically is another movie
Song at 6:30 ?
All the music in this video is from the games soundtrack. That one is called "Mass" downloads.khinsider.com/game-soundtracks/album/s.t.a.l.k.e.r.-2-heart-of-chornobyl-ost-2024
I surprised you didn't mention the achievement system in Call of Pripyat that acted like a perk system, but required you to do things or play the game a certain way (for example, peacefully resolving situations to earn the "diplomat" ability) to earn them. I thought it was a refreshing take on perk systems in other RPGs and unique enough to cover. Additionally, being able to complete missions in a variety of ways like agreeing to help the bandits then backstabbing them without even telling the free STALKERs at the boat, but still having it count as assisting the free STALKERs which causes them to give you medical gear in your stash. There's also the fact that you don't have to pay off anyone's debts and can just threaten the bandits into dropping the interest if you have a high tier weapon equipped or by just killing them all. There's a good bit more, but it might be better to just see for yourself another time.
I'm a little embarrassed to admit I didn't know about this. But this sounds like a really interesting take. I will definitely be replaying the trilogy at some point and will definitely make sure I check it out when I get to CoP
It belongs in a museum!
its sad that people play this game wrong :( and not experience all fun from STALKER YOU need to play on hardest diffucllty not because of AI but because how they made it if you play on normal or easy enemies are bullet sponges Second you need mods just because they fixed alot of issues and you dont need overhaul mods A COMPLETE mods series its all you need to enchance your experience Good luck and good hunting stalker
Yeah I didn't learn about playing on hardest difficulty until after the fact unfortunately. I played completely vanilla too. But I still really enjoyed the experience. Maybe the second playthrough will be even better after I make those changes
Merry Christmas man :D
Merry Christmas bro!
Has anyone actually ever played ET on Atari?
No
I'm gonna do myself a favor and not watch the two newest movies...
hellblade 2 felt like it was unfinished - it was ok, but not even close to its prequel - it just gave me the vibe that they didnt have the budget or resources (or ideas, maybe?) to go as hard conceptually as they did in pt.1
That's an interesting take. I definitely didn't feel that way when playing. It seemed polished, but to me it felt like they wanted it to be a graphical showcase for the series x instead of building the gameplay side of it
The zone is what you make it
It always has been
People don't understand that The Zone is a big deal all over the world, not just Ukraine. I keep seeing people complain about accents, but if you think about it, the reality is people from all over the world would visit The Zone to see what it offers. Not everyone will be natively Ukrainian is what I'm trying to say.
Yeah I mean that's fair but not one person sounds like they're local in English. At least for the first 8ish hours which is when I switched my language to Ukrainian. Including people that had accents in the first game. I acknowledge it could be a nitpick on my end. But it just took me out of the experience
For all of you who have dealt with the sprint thing, aim in to your gun lean, then unlean and your good
Would've been a huge help a few weeks ago lol. I'm sure others will see this and appreciate it though
Why not use Ukraine voice over?
I changed to Ukrainian around the 8 hour mark and never looked back. Stalker 2 was instantly 100 times better
How can you complete the game is Broken🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I luckily never got a game breaking bug. Still buggy but I just pushed through the frustrations
i have about 75 hours and i finished the strelok ending, but i found a way into generators and it feels like one of the most genuine experiences the stalker games can offer, no mutants, very few bandits (that spawn randomly) and even though the region has no purpose in the game, it feels the most atmosphere heavy, with a massive storm upon entry and a sort of odyssey of challenges and looking for the next step to actually get to the generators that completely immersed me for 3 hours nonstop.
Damn now I feel like I need to figure out how to get to the generators without triggering the last mission lol
Bro I’m at 90 h just bc I had to make reload so many times bc missions were broken and done I wasn’t able to do at all :/ still half way through the game
I'm sorry to hear that. I was lucky and didn't hit any game breaking bugs. Just ones that tested my patience, but I was able to push through them
@ I had no issues until mid of the game when you have to make choice the second time who are you with, then I chose stalkers and I couldn’t save the village bc they just wouldn’t open doors and I tried everything so I reloaded back to save were i have to choose and I chose ward and then I was falling through the map when I was entering elevator 😂
@ I had the same issue trying to save a certain village. Locked me out of the achievement and the village died :(
@ well if you choose ward the doors are open so if you have the old save you still can get achievement and some more quests from them
Of course it's copyright and paste chernobyl zone hasn't nor will change for thousands of years, its not like GTA 😂
Hahah I had no problem with it, but some people were disappointed. The zone is what you make of it
