I'm agree. This was. the first ever album I bought in 1988 when I was 18 years old... So I fell in love with Maiden.

Once you go to a Maiden show, No other show you go to, will ever compare. They set such a high standard for live performance that no other band will ever compare. So happy for you that you're gonna see them live. I've gone to Maiden shows since 1982 and they have always been outstanding. You are in for something special.
Agreed. I think my first Maiden show was around 84, and I've been going to see them ever since. Page and Plant was the only other show that compared, for very different reasons.
Maiden is just so polished compared to other "Big act" metal bands. They are the Big Show.
agreed... Montreal this summer will be my 35th Maiden show and somewhere in the 300's all total... Iron Maiden is in a class by itself... although Nightwish with Floor in front is AMAZING... she is a tremendous performer and showman... and their music is impeccable live... like Maiden
@@WrathchildNH same here. Been to every U.S. tour they have done and doing a double this year. September Friday the 13th (who better to play on that day) in Las Vegas and the next night the 14th in Los Angeles. By the way, my friend used to be in a cover band and they were called Wrathchild. Up the Iron my friend!!!
'79 was my first at some Uni in west London and seen them 11 times since then,much prefer Bruce out front than dianno but loved his period too.
Live bands have this standard to reach.
Very difficult to top Maiden's performances.
I seen them in June 1982.They opened for Point Blank and 38Special lol.Dont get me wrong,I like all 3 bands.It was a strange mix though.I seen them again in 83 with Fastway and Saxon.Again at 88Monsters of Rock at Sweinfurt,Germany.Up the irons.
Iron Maiden is for sure one of those bands where the deeper u dive into the catalogue the greater you appreciate their greatness, they’re one of the best of all time in metal

The moment the gallop kicks in, you're on a journey of epicness. I heard this live in Birmingham 37 years on from the original and it was extraordinary. For me, one of the best Maiden opening tracks to an album and maybe one of their best ever songs. Up the Irons!!! 🤘🤘

The opener from the great album Somewhere in Time. There is so much energy and detail in the album that other acts would fill three records with them. "Somewhere In Time" is a classic! Thanks for your response about Iron Maiden, that's great!
I'm surpised that there are people out there who have never heard this stuff. The whole album is great from start to finish. It's been my favorite since I first heard it in 1986.
The drummer Nicko lives in Boca Raton. Have you been to Rock And Roll Ribs in Coral Springs? The drummer owns it. A lot of Maiden decor.

I've mentioned it when I subscribed, and I will mention it again. It would be awesome to react to the Seventh Son of a Seventh Son album one song at a time. All the songs in the album are connected and it's Epic. That being said, there's no such thing as a bad Maiden song, so have at it. Up the Irons!
The Angel and the Gambler is pretty damn close to being a bad song. It is saved only by the guitar solos.

Have had the privilege of seeing them live back in the day and then with my son. They were at the Palace of Auburn Hills. I flew my son into Detroit from Walla Walla Washington and I drove into Detroit from Baltimore. As you can see I got pictures of Ed Force One.

Some of my favorite but if you really want your minds blown you need to watch Rock in Rio Live from their Brave New World Tour. Honestly one of the best live heavy metal shows you'll ever see. Its the first time ive ever witnessed iron maiden and I instantly fell in love.

Probably my favourite Iron Maiden solos in a song. As for individual best solos I'd name other songs, but for the best lead break with both Dave and Adrian back to back this is it.
This song sounds very different to other Maiden songs, especially the intro as the first guitar synth came out around the time they were recording. Most guitarists including Murray and Smith decided to see what it could do 😂😂😂

First time I saw them was. in 2008 in Bogota-Colombia and I confess... I cried when I heard first notes after Churchill speak in the Aces high performance. I was awating that for 20 years!

Since you have done Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner, perhaps you should just do Powerslave the album, or perhaps if you start at the beginning and work your way through. I'm just a gluten for Maiden I will take all you give.

Glad to hear that you get see Maiden live! I saw them twice during the European leg of the current tour, and they played material from all through out their career. The band has been always remarkably consistent, and even the much maligned albums with the singer Blaze Bayley are really good in my opinion. I think especially the album X-factor from 1995 is a masterpiece. With that and the probable setlist of the future shows in mind, I recommend you do Sign of the Cross from that release. Many people have reacted to the Rock in Rio 2001 live version, which is with Bruce Dickinson and you can't go wrong with that one, but it'd be interesting to see you hear the original with Blaze as well.
In addition as Maiden's output since the reunion with Dickinson in 1999 has been fantastic as well and the newest song you've done is Blood Brothers from 2000, I recommend you listen to For the Greater Good of God, which was part of the set list last year. I'll also throw in Dance of Death again, as that's unlike anything you've heard from the band yet.
Lastly, I'll again mention the band Amorphis, who I think you might really appreciate. I suggest the song Under the Red Cloud, or if you don't want to challenge yourselves with the small amounts of growls that one contains, you can ease yourselves into the band with Silent Waters. You won't probably get a huge amount of views for those, but it seems you aren't doing this for that reason.

Seeing Iron Maiden live in August 1984 on their Powerslave tour (World Slavery Tour), as a 16-year old kid, was life-changing.
I’ve never witnessed anything like it before, and was promptly blown away.
I saw them again in September 1986, when they were promoting Somewhere in Time album, and went to see them a few more times.
I am more into melodic death metal these days (Kalmah FTW!), but watching your videos brings me back to those happy days.

Everything that "Heavy" can present interestingly "Maiden" usually presents with the highest quality. And this album is no exception to the rule: yet another extraordinary work, with futuristic themes (inspired by the science fiction classic "Blade Runner"), and featuring synthesized guitars of supreme quality. This futuristic album is much more for harmony than aggressiveness.
The opening notes of this opening track are highly catchy and open the album stupendously. "Caught Somewhere in Time" is a great track. Right away, the listener realizes that the band delivers a more technical and experimental work. And what we have in this first song is a really great work of top musicians.
I recommend all the tracks of this brilliant record of this exceptional band.

If you guys love Maiden.. check out a Swedish band called SABATON. Some great songs from them: "Carolean Prayer", "Lion From the North", "Night Witches", "Ghost Division" and "Metal Machine"
Also, please for the love of DIO, please do some Ronnie James Dio tunes. Either his solo stuff, or his work with Rainbow and Black Sabbath. A great place to start is HEAVEN AND HELL.

Once they become more familiar with Iron Maiden's music prior to Somewhere In Time, they should do a reaction video of the Somewhere In Time album cover, and see how many of the references to previous songs, albums, etc. they find hidden in the painting. Phantom Opera House, Aces High Bar, Acacia Avenue, Ancient Mariner Seafood Restaurant, to name just a few.
