Lots of great hints, but just a note, on multiple flights this year on delta, JetBlue, American, Allegiant and Southwest. The current gate speech is: You are allowed only one carry on and one personal item. They then continue: Additional items like neck pillows, Fanny packs, shoulder bags all count as an extra item and must be placed into one of your other bags or something must be checked.
I couldn’t believe what a huge difference they made the first time I used noise canceling headphones! You are right, the noise of the airplane itself is fatiguing plus I sleep so much better with them. Now I won’t travel without them.
... this... actually... was very informative...!! great job! I'd add: - airplane window organizer - tray table cover (both on amazon) - nice slippers and comfy socks for looong flights in coach (feels like first class if you bring your own peanuts) - nail clippers... (i ALWAYS forget these... bandaids, etc) Hope you find these helpful - I fly on Friday - ciao.
I got one for my last 2 intercontinental flights and it saved my life!…I am short and have back problems. Just make sure you get the one with the panel inside rather than the one that is soft.
I've had a Hero Clip for years, and you're absolutely right, it's a must have for travel! Honestly, the place I end up using it the most is in airport restrooms, as you don't always have a functioning hook on the back of the stall door.
Except in some countries they will take these carabiner style items away from you at the security check-in. "They can be used as a knuckle duster weapon" Air France security informed me before taking it. I used one for attaching my watch and wedding ring etc through security so everything was easily found and together. As well as hanging, attaching, securing etc etc.
Keep in mind that hanging a hero clip over the stall door in a bathroom makes it very attractive and easy to steal the hero clip and the the bag attached to it!!!!!
These mini pouches for liquids are amazing! I found some at a local shop here in Denmark and then saw them on your video. Gave them a try this past week on.a trip to UAE and what a difference! I'm hooked.
Love your videos! Gave you credit for my purchasing my Mono luggage with covers this morning! Loved your showing the stronger, quality compression straps and showing how it will fit in the airline size bins! Thanks for spending your time assisting everyone!
I have some of the Heroclips. I use it for hanging a small pouch on the seatback when on a plane to hold my phones, earbuds, snacks, etc. Holds all I need in the air other than my tablet. I also keep several on my luggage to use as needed. I use some of those same plastic toiletry pouches you talked about at 2:40 ish. Interesting thing I found is that some kinds of shampoo (dandruff shampoo in my experience) degrade the plastic plug and it breaks off in the hole.
This was a fabulous video, thank you! Ziploc bags, something I always think about once I'm at my destination. I am definitely bringing some on my next trip. One of the perks of being short 5'1", when I upgrade to premium seats, I can stretch out my legs fully, and the bottom of my feet touch the chair in front of me haha. I do like the hammock though.
Don’t be that guy, that annoys the person in front of you, when using those hanging foot rest. Every time you move your feet, you will move the seat, that your foot rest, is hanging from. Some airlines are starting to stop passengers from using them. Those tray table arms are not designed to hold more weight than the food and tray they serve.
Many of these are genius and I’ll probably buy some. I personally hate the sling bag. I feel like stuff is hard to access and can easily be falling out. I just use a small Crossbody purse.
I use ziplocks kinda like packing cubes. I roll and pack my smaller clothing items in them…..underwear, socks, tanks/t’s, swimsuits as well as lotions etc. I like that they keep everything separate and if security wants to look inside the suitcase my clothes aren’t on display! Those liquid pouches look like a great idea, but how easy are they to clean out?
Have you tried the solid shampoo and conditioners? Am thinking of searching for a solid lotion! I can cut up the shampoo and conditioner and put it in the same container.
I just love your videos!! The info you share is spot on! And can I just say I LOVE your background in this video!! Like I want to know how you did it! lol Thanks for all the amazing content you share 😍
One I’ll add: charging cable soft case. Most people have extra cables so I have a case that stays in my back back I take on every trip that has all my cables I could need. Don’t have to remember to grab any.
Aly, these are so clever. One question: inflatable foot rests. I’ve reached out to AC to ask whether they will be allowed in bulkhead NON exit row and I’m getting the run around. Do you know the policy?
thanks for the video I had the TSA in Mexico take my pouches from me because they said they didn't know how much was in there and what it was, which did not make sense but I was on my way home to the state so it did not matter
I'd add some bongo ties or string/paracord to the list. Cordage, in particular, is quite underrated. Especially if you know how to tie some knots. A constrictor knot is easy to tie and great for organizing cables. The bowline gives you a stable loop that won't change size. The alpine butterfly knot lets you tie a loop into a rope that's under tension. Another thing I always have in my wallet is some gorilla tape wrapped around an old credit card. For cutting the above, you'll need one of those Victorinox Swiss Cards or some other multitool with scissors, just make sure it's TSA compatible.
I'm fully on board with the HeroClip! Been using since inception on kickstarter. Now I use all 3 sizes but the smaller 2 are my fav. I keep seeing you and others recommending the foot hammock but since I'm 6' I can't see that being of a useful? idk
Great vid and tips and I’m defo ordering the Heroclips, but I’m not sure the airlines will appreciate the stress on their tray tables with the foot hammock. And I dint wanna be on the next flight to discover a broken or loose tray table.
I thought that, too when I first took mine, but they actually slide in between the seat and the tray table...waaaay down in the "v" part. There's no stress on the table.
Beside noice cancelling Headphone, flying Airbusses, in particular A350 and A380s, will be reducing much noice and above a better climate which prevents fatigue.
Great video. I would be very reluctant to hang anything off the walls of a public toilet stall...there's a reason why many places have started moving the hooks lower on the walls to avoid reach over theft.
The foot hammock in the description box doesn't appear to be the same as the one in the video. I like the non-flat base of the one in the video. Could you share the brand of that one? Thanks!
Do you have any ideas about a travel sewing kit that one can actually bring onto the airplane? I always need a sewing kit when I travel, but most of the time, the TSA officers remove my PLASTIC scissors from my sewing kit. Really??? I can't understand how I can harm anyone with a tiny plastic scissor. Any ideas for a DIY sewing kit or buy that from somewhere? Thanks. It got removed on a trip to India.
@annaBanana - can you explain a little more how the hammock is uncomfortable? I was super excited to see them in this video. I’m only 5 feet tall, so sitting in an airline seat for any length of time gets uncomfortable. Usually I pull out my backpack from under the seat to put my feet on, but I then also have to bring a towel because I don’t want to put my shoes directly on my backpack.
It hits me almost in the back of my knees and folds me up like origami if I put my feet on it. There is literally no way for it to be comfortable in an economy seat.
If it looks like a dirty diaper you’re littering- it could backfire. If I saw that on the beach I’d throw it away- but I live on the coast, so like to keep it clean- just saying- it’s something to think about.
Such a good vid EXCEPT... the ziplocks are a fail! Plastic is killing the planet - u r under 40, you know this!!! Stashers, and other brands, are silicone reuseable containers like ziplocks only you can use them over and over and over. Easy to clean, every bit as versatile as a ziplock, but better for our earth. Also, have you tried Matador's flat pak soap containers? Solid toiletries are better for our earth than liquids AND no TSA limits! Two pro tips for you and your viewers - you're welcome!!
Hanging your bag on a bathroom stall is begging to have it stolen. On more than one occasion I’ve seen a hand over the door reaching for something hanging.
I wish you recommended Stashers reuseable silicone "zip" seal containers instead of disposable zip-lock baggies - single-use plastic is destroying our planet Earth. Otherwise, this was a solid video.
Zip Lock bags are reusable. Why would I throw out the ones I use for travel? They don’t wear out. I’ve used the same ones in my toiletry kit and travel back pack for years now.
I use condoms to seal my liquid toiletries. They are super cheap. I'm 65 and married. You have no idea the laughs I've gotten going through security whenTSA searches my bag.

This is one of the best travel tip videos I've ever seen. Great suggestions!
Extra Ziplock bags always come in handy!

Yes to the Hero clip. I have two just in case I lose one. The best travel accessory!

Love the idea of the foot hammock!
I got one for my last 2 intercontinental flights and it saved my life!…I am short and have back problems.

Works so well!

Just be careful someone doesn’t snatch you bag from the other side of the stall door. You’ll be chasing with your pants around your ankles.
Keep in mind that hanging a hero clip over the stall door in a bathroom makes it very attractive and easy to steal the hero clip and the the bag attached to it!!!!!
Yeah! That's why you should do it on the sidewalls, not the door 👍 I've also hung it on the hinge too!
Loved this video! ❤ I too am a huge believer in having ziplock bags around all the time for so many uses, and they hardly take up any space!
Love the stealth scrunchies!
Obssessed!! Love mine!!
Awesome, definitely buying the scrunchies for my wife!

Great list. I would use all
I don't do a lot of traveling. Maybe, once a year..please recommend the biggest bag that fits under the airline seat
I use Ziploc bags all the time. Perfect for the lake or beach, too! Great video!💖😎🛫🚝
Aly! These are brilliant! Most useful video of all time and I have watched a lot! Thanks for such great content! ❤

Thank you🙂1st time I have heard someone suggest ziplock baggies. Soooo many uses on a trip. Plus they might even be empty coming home.
They really are the most underrated item I think!
Loved the toiletry sleeves!
Thanks!
Thank you!
Heroclip is life!
I ordered those scrunchies! Those look awesome 🤩 Thanks for the tips!!
Great for music festivals….if you know what I mean 😅
Lol could you please help me with what she meant by saying that :D
@@plangeful you can hide pills in it ;)
I really like the towel ponchos
The BEST tips I have heard in ages & quick & to the point. Thank you.
Some good suggestions here, a couple of products I was not aware of and will be helpful for my next trip.
Save your money on toiletry sleeves and use a small piece of plastic wrap over the mouth and then screw on or close the cap.
Exactly what I do
Just saw that on Jeenie Weenie
Works great on the way there, but keeping that plastic wrap intact for a 2 week trip is a hassle.
@daydreamerz you ain't lyin'! That's why I bring a little extra for longer trips or cut an extra ziploc if needed. 😁
Yes I do that
Great Video. When you go to all inclusive resorts, do you always carry your passport or do you trust the room safe? Blessings
I just rinse them with warm water and a bit of soap and give it a shake!
One of the best things I use when going to Mexico is a money belt.
Have you tried the solid shampoo and conditioners? Am thinking of searching for a solid lotion! I can cut up the shampoo and conditioner and put it in the same container.
Yes they work great for me
Great tips Aly 👌
I have one of those clips. I love it.
Thanks Aly, you’re awesome!
the heroclip seems genius...I use normal clips but the heroclip seems next level.
Loved your video, your energy and all the useful tips. Keep going.❤
I always bring ziplock bags as they can also double as ice packs in case of any injuries during your trip.
Ooo very smart! Thanks for the tip 😊
@@alysmalls of course this was learned the hard way

One I’ll add: charging cable soft case. Most people have extra cables so I have a case that stays in my back back I take on every trip that has all my cables I could need. Don’t have to remember to grab any.
Honestly I even use one as an EDC for my essential electronics in case I didn’t charge them the day before or am using the excessively
Would you please be able to do a review of neck pillows for resting on planes? I am tall with a long neck. Many thanks.
Forget neck pillows and get a soft neck brace - smaller, lighter, more effective, more comfortable
Aly, these are so clever. One question: inflatable foot rests. I’ve reached out to AC to ask whether they will be allowed in bulkhead NON exit row and I’m getting the run around. Do you know the policy?
What size heroclip did you have in the video?
Medium!
Those scrunchies sound great!
Really interesting video - lots of new gadgets I've discovered :D
thanks for the video I had the TSA in Mexico take my pouches from me because they said they didn't know how much was in there and what it was, which did not make sense but I was on my way home to the state so it did not matter
I have switched from towel clips to towel bands-they take up so little room
Genius❤

The link below is for a belt bag, not a cross body bag. Please advise. Thank you.

hi , i can't find a place where they sell bottle skin online - can u suggest me a place
They're linked in the video description
Great vid and tips and I’m defo ordering the Heroclips, but I’m not sure the airlines will appreciate the stress on their tray tables with the foot hammock. And I dint wanna be on the next flight to discover a broken or loose tray table.
It's hard to explain where they attach, it's moreso on top of the metal support piece behind the tray table...I hope that clarifies!
I love my foot hammock!!! But I’m petite!!
I have had a HeroClip for a couple of years and the only thing that I use it for is to hang my keys. It's too much trouble to do anything else with.
Great video. I would be very reluctant to hang anything off the walls of a public toilet stall...there's a reason why many places have started moving the hooks lower on the walls to avoid reach over theft.
I absolutely agree
Hang it on the sidewall or better yet, the hinge - works great!
I like those liquid bags but find them a little hard to fill. Hints? Its not a deal breaker but thick conditioner tests my patience.
Patience and a small funnel lol
A syringe with a thick spout also works great.
difficult cleaning - bacteries
Can you please share with me where in PV ( I'm guessing) you were when you were showing about the belt bag
Close! It was in Bucerias, from this video: th-cam.com/video/mDgGK5VYKGI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=38JDeGSh9BxFpWr3
Thank you for also using metric. :)
With those foot hammocks, you'll need to check if the airlines allow it a handful of airlines declared them a banned item.
Lol, "or to hold a drink." That's my kind of travel tip.
The foot hammock in the description box doesn't appear to be the same as the one in the video. I like the non-flat base of the one in the video. Could you share the brand of that one? Thanks!
The skins that go over bottles... buy balloons way cheaper
Some very good in this and some remarkably questionable, but worth the short watch.
If you know what I mean? please.....indulge.
When I was traveling in the US, I noticed that hardly anyone uses a sling bag.
Yes, men in America don't use purses. Shocking.
@@greplink Yet American companies churn out manlier versions with even more camo and dark themes all the time.

Foot hammocks are terrifically uncomfortable. If you insist on having some sort of foot hammock use a waist pack so you can carry stuff in it, too

It hits me almost in the back of my knees and folds me up like origami if I put my feet on it. There is literally no way for it to be comfortable in an economy seat.
I saw a video that recommended putting valuables in a baby diaper on the beach. Who would want to open a diaper??
Lol, I'm guessing that would be quite effective!
If it looks like a dirty diaper you’re littering- it could backfire. If I saw that on the beach I’d throw it away- but I live on the coast, so like to keep it clean- just saying- it’s something to think about.
many airlines have banned foot hammocks. i've had one for 5 years but no longer carry it.
if I went into the water with that scrunchie my anxiety would go through the roof if it got lost
Why music festivals?

Bottle condoms😂

What liquid pouches did you like?
Foot rest wont work if you are over 6 foot
Foot hammock not allowed on korean airlines
