What I don’t get is the point of synths. If it’s to build an army, to replace humanity with a superior life form, or something along those lines, it makes sense. But they go through all this trouble to perfect them, and they only use them as slave labor, which could be accomplished with a high functioning automaton, and espionage, for a purpose ultimately undefined. They’re redefining mankind but don’t recognize synths as equal to mankind. What is the point of Synths? What is the goal of the Institute?
It comes down to, humans are imperfect in the eyes of the Institute. Generation 3 synths are puppets for them. They can be controlled with the component in their head with voice commands. They want synths to be in control.
They want to replace humanity with Synths long term, they use them short term as slave labor and infiltration to both work out the kinks in their personalities or any bugs while also exerting influence over the Commonwealth. It's all in the game, just takes some extensive observation
Clearly human bodies... hate how the community acts as though gen 3's are robots, jfc. and WTF is Westworld? Tell me if it predates Fallout 3, otherwise idc.
West world is a show where some company creates a western “theme park” type attraction where you can go in and do whatever you want, ranging from robbery to rape to murder. This is because all the actors are synthesized in a lab under the park, and have their memory whipped after each person leaves. The show follows the story of them retaining their memory and eventually taking over the park.
so are the gen 3 synths even technically robots? like they pretty much have soft tissue, nerves, and biological matter that makes them a living thing. They could even likely reproduce if given the ability during creation, why are they treated like an assaultron. I get the gen 2 and gen 1s they are literally robots but what the hell is with gen 3.
After doing extensive research. They are completely biological, like flesh grown drones. The Institute treats them beneath Human because ultimately they're artificially created, although their long term plans suggest they would eventually be treated better.
@@Cyberbro665 so they are effectively creating true biological organisms rather than life like robots... They choose to make people with this technology instead of just terraforming the surface with pre war life forms and making the world inhabitable for the survivors. Hell they could even work on the super mutant problems.
@@grendel8342 So a couple problems with that, the Institute is led by a director (Think like CEO or President) and that Director chooses to path the Institute will follow. Unfortunately there hasn't been a Director yet to follow that path of fixing the environment for the rest of the populace, they also were the ones who created the Commonwealth Supermutants so needless to say they don't care much about the population outside of the Institute. You have to see it from the perspective of the Institute only the worst of humanity remains outside (Murderers, Thieves, Power Hungry Bastards). They instead think they can create a new slate of better humans. This can in theory change with the Sole Survivor as Director tho.
@@Cyberbro665 fair but tbh that doesn't sound to much unlike the rest of humanity. I'd just focus on establishing better living conditions for the populace rather than going through the whole synth situation. Maybe preserve and domesticate some mutant flora and fauna from the surface. You could easily reindustrialize while putting the institute members in power over the common wealth without all this extra crap. Still run the show but help rebuild on top of that.
@@grendel8342 Honestly from an ethical and moral standpoint yours is the best plan of action but from the Institute perspective their plan is a cheaper alternative. Synths will be immune to radiation with no need to eat or drink apparently so mass producing them would be quicker and easier than trying to fix the environment. They'd have a couple thousand in the time frame it'd take them to rebuild the Commonwealth for the natives lol
The original Westworld sure predates Fallout for A LOOOOOONG time, but the process to create Synths in Fallout 4 came before the Westworld Tv Series that does the same, since Fallout 4 came out in 2015, Westworld in 2016.
Westworld
*YOOOOOOOOO*
*IT'S HIM*
Hello there friend
Hello
this even showed up when I looked up "Westworld Fallout"
dill tharp same here
It takes 2 1/2 minutes to create a Gen-3 Synth, which runs continuously throughout the day... that is why I sided with the Institute.
+GuruJudge21 the institute wants to kill everyone, so i teamed with the brotherhood
+Random Hobo that eats turds The Brotherhood wants to kill everyone as well...
I am the Institute.
RAILROAD IS DA BEST because you take out of the brotherhood and the Institute which are both evil
I killed my dad and blew 'em up. But if I played through again, I'd side with The Institute.
All I can think of is Westworld and Blade Runner.

Yunno, I've played 4 since it came out and I still couldn't answer that question.

A way to skip purpity
And people call them robots??

Does it have a soul?
Your TH-cam channel is 18 years old, this is the oldest channel I see absolutely by accident...
westworld existed before fallout so fallout pretty much just poached this whole thing off of them
And they poached the they’re ideas off of Saberhaugen and Clark and Asimov. Who poached their ideas off of Mythology.
