In 2552 someone will hold onto one old copy of Halo 3 (not the shitty classics version) and a choir will sing the main theme of the game while a future priest will tell the epic stories of a hero named John and Spartan 117.

Halo these days will never be as amazing as Halo back then. No matter the graphics, it was just the experience. Of everyone having the game, freaking out over it, knowing the theme song by heart, competing. You really can't bring experiences like that back. Halo will forever hold great memories for all us gamers.
For Halo 1 to 3, they made the game because they had a game to make and they knew what they wanted to do. Now they make it solely because they know people will buy it and thats it.
You Don't Know Me so true, the beautiful scenery for halo, 2, 3 and some parts in 4 was so amazing I would just stare at it. But now the graphics have improved but nothing will get close to how those games looked.
replayed that campaign yesterday the chills when your in mission citadel and in the double scarab fight and when you join the elites to assault the tower 👌🥵
I never owned any console beacause i'm from a poor family. I always had only a PC. I'm 24 years old now, Halo:CE and Halo 2 were and still are my favorite games. Halo 3 was always unavailable for me and now after so many years of waiting I finally get to play it on PC Master Chief Collection in few days. I'm in tears of happiness already. After so many years...

Original Halo players aren’t offline, they’re just missing in action. Thank you Spartans for 5k likes! Ohmaghad, can we hit 6k? Spartans, let’s go for 10k
Well, sounds like we all need to have ourselves a call to arms! I say all original players make a comeback and defeat the tyrants of EA and Fortnite! I say FUCK THEM!! Let's do it!!! It's the Call of Duty, Man! HOO-RAH!!!
My friend: ''Whats your favourite soundtrack?'' Me: ''Halo 3 theme.'' My friend: ''What does it sound like?'' Me: ''OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO''
10 years ago, the community was at its peak with this installment. 10 years ago, the community had talented people that pushed the boundaries of Forge and Custom games. 10 years ago, we had an epic campaign that made us...believe, an epic Campaign where we saw Chief fall to Earth, rise up with the Sangheili, and take down the last Prophet. I cherish the memories of playing through the Halo 3 campaign with my best friend. Thanks 2007 for being one of the best years of my life.
MONTR65 I agree especially the ending of reach. Just a sense that you have completed the mission and now have to fend off as long as you can until you got missing in action
Sometimes, for old times sake i whip out my expensive sound mixing headphones and blast this full volume and close my eyes, and suddenly i'm teleported back in time filled and with boundless energy, the energy to run, jump and fight, all the good memories flash before my eyes like they just happened mere moments ago, and when the song ends, the fleeting moment passes and i'm left with a massive grin and a tear in my eye.
but the thing is, you're remembering the memory like it was the best thing ever. nostalgia erases all the bad parts of memory and makes it seem like the memories of you playing a video game feel much more happy.
*I Really Never Thought* the last time I’d be saying to Friends “Alright I’m getting off” and it was the last time we ever were in an Xbox party together or in the same Lobby.... Damn.
Cortana: "Scanning, just dust and echoes" Last online 3 years ago Halo is a fucking Masterpiece! Thank you BUNGIE for making my childhood memories. GG BUNGIE, GG
1:54-2:02. That right there, is Halo to me. Everytime I hear that, I get this feeling that something epic and/or amazing is about to happen. I feel that it shouldn't matter whether you like Halo Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo Wars, Halo 3:ODST, Halo Reach, Halo 4, Halo Spartan Assault, Halo 5: Guardians, Halo Spartan Strike, or Halo Wars 2. What should matter is the feeling we get when we play Halo, that special amazing feeling. Whether you feel it when Reach falls, the Pillar of Autumn is about to blow, the final battle against the Covenant, when you destroy the Lich, when you finally unleash the massive army you've been making for about an hour, when you're alone in the streets of New Mombasa, when you see the Ark again, when the final Warthog ride begins, when you play as The Arbiter for the first time, when you take down a Kraken, when you take down a Scarab, when you ride in a Broadsword below the Didact's shields, when you take the flag, when you snipe that impossible target, we all feel it. Each Halo game has epic moments, and sharing those epic moments together creates friendship and new experiences for everyone. So, instead of saying "fuck you 343 Industries" or "bring back Bungie" instead say, "hey remember that moment when you storm the beach in The Silent Cartographer." By doing this and saying these things, we could repair the schism that has broken our community. Instead of saying, "make Halo great again", say "Make the community great again". Because good gaming communites can help us enjoy these incredible games even more. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope to see some changes soon. Sincerely, A Concerned Halo fan who doesn't give a shit who makes a Halo game, as long as it's damn Halo
Nicholas Tremblay I agree with you, but 343i needs to focus more on the roots of halo then try to fix what isn't broken, and also give us some more arena/close quarters combat that defines what halo truly is, and don't go down the microtransaction route with cosmetics, go with the get gud to unlock what you want.
@@Citobiom Yeah, Cortona AI did Remind once said, i Know you your childhood memories, your mysterious future. It's hidden deep, Only you can find it. Gravemind was screaming.
Now we are grown up. And we're listening to this music to remind us how great this game was. And how simple life was for us at this era. Time flew by quickly and look where we are now. For my part... finished college, working 8 to 5 and a shitload of debt. And everytime I come back to listening to these songs I'm like Fck this sht, I want that simple life back :/
I couldn't say more... I remember trying to steal a banshee in the snowy mission with my brother with that song. I hope i'll do it again in my next life
Puppet I can relate to this. It was me and a group of 5 friends that used to play this all the time. I’ve now known 3 of them for 10+ years and they were the foundation for my childhood and they’ve been there for me the tough ups and downs and it’s amazing knowing that one video game can create such a bond between people. I’ve met them all in real life and it’s amazing to know that we are such good friends from one simple game of forge that they accidentally joined
Used to play this non stop with my childhood friend. We were like brothers. He passed away in 2018. I cry Everytime I hear this song but I always come back to listen to it because it's ok to cry about great fucking memories.
"For us, the storm has passed. The war is over. And let us never forget those who journeyed into the howling dark, and did not return. For their decision required courage beyond measure. Sacrifice, an unshakeable conviction that their fight... our fight... was elsewhere. As we start to rebuild, this hillside will remain barren, a memorial to heroes fallen. They enobled all of us, and they shall not be forgotten." ... "Wake me... When you need me."
Wasted Quaver it all went downhill from reach , halo 4 had like no custom game modes forge was a mess and the online library didnt come until an update which 6 months+ after its launch
TheGoodguyperson I see where ur coming from mate you can never beat ten classic ones they tried to change it but stay original at the same time in 4 and above but hasn't worked but still without a doubt the best game franchise ever
Twisko the community was so much more friendlier toxic was a non existing term back then and for how limited forge was imo the custom maps and gamemode beat some standalone games
What was the name of that amazing asymmetrical custom game where it was like 5v1 where the 5 players need to destroy terrain to reach the end of the map with various guns littered across the way, and they had to get there to kill the enemy that was using a chopper? I think it was called gears of war but I'm not sure.
Though you will never get the classic Halo. Microsoft kept Halo and Martin O'Donnell was fired for selling copies of the games audio track of which the studio doesn't own. he does.
@@mutoreocookie3944 Hopefully 343 makes good with the latest entry. As for Bungie, they've had a lot of missteps but D2 has shapen up to be a really good game. I'm cautiously optimistic for their next game, now that Activision has fucked off.
It still is based on preference. One might solely buy Halo 5 for its superior forge and custom games to any other Halo. One might buy Halo: Reach for its 'failure is an inevitability' plot, even though the matchmaking and campaign are pretty bland like Halo 5's.

@@hxach yeah i seriously don't get it when they say that even though MCC has been out for quite a while now on xbox and i've been having a blast. Its simple if you miss those old fun memories then just replay the game, unless you refused to play on xbox, but eh its on pc now
Wow, brings tears to my eyes when someone finally gathers all the themes of halo 3 and combines it. Like the piano part was separated with the violins. But to hear them as unison...i have never heard such glory before since Christ was born lol
It's crazy because, Halo was never even close to my favorite game growing up, I had plenty of other things I liked playing with my friends more. Yet the second the voice comes in I always feel an intense wave of melancholy and nostalgia for my childhood, unlike any other experience
You're right man I remember I used to go sleepover at my friend's house and we would all play Halo 3 and Reach until 5am. Such a legendary song here and Halo just has that kind of power
My dad got us halo when it came out on original xbox all those years ago... i lost him this year and this music brought back some hella memories. Thanks, halo...
From 0:45 I got an instant orgasm from all the memories -The epic Warthog run at end -Recking the flood -Recking the covenant -The beautiful visuals and stories -The music -The Arbiter -Tearing through enemies with the gravity hammer and energy sword Halo is my all time favourite franchise. The amount of times I replayed Halo 3 and Reach will always be remembered. Thank you Bungie for giving us this amazing franchise
I totally agree halo 3 and REACH where my all time favorite. This is just one of those games that will be in our memories always...... whoa😨 just thinking about it brings goosebumps
halo 4 and beyond were the types to not make you feel emerged in the experience of the Master chief and his un-ending adventure halo 3 and Reach were personally both masterpieces
Which version is best Halo 1 2 or 3? I'm kinda torn. Halo CE is just the classic Halo 2 just shreds on guitar Halo 3 goes back to more classic with its own twist.
CE got boring near the middle when the flood started. Two just was ok. And three. Three was amazing and ridiculously amazing. For was also a good game, but could have been better, and then there’s five. Let’s just not talk about that. Have not played reach or ODST yet though
Memories of staying up all night, sleepovers, rage moments, funny things done with friends, school lunch talking about halo 3, and rushing home from school to hop on this game. One of the best games of my childhood. Can’t wait to play this game with my future child and relive those moments again with him/her.
+Bowl of Rice I think Reach was the pinnacle, personally. But when we get to it, Halo is one of the greatest story driven games of our times... And I think Halo: Reach contributed very nicely to the story, establishing what happened on Reach and such. The story of Halo 4 and onward has been neglected by 343 Industries, who seem more enthralled in making a Call of Duty-esque multiplayer that attracts gamers. Unfortunately for them, all they are doing is alienating their hardcore fans.
+Joshua Bean Halo 4 was the perfect conclusion to the Halo franchise IMO. They should have left MC to die at the end of Halo 4 but they didn't. Which pisses me off.
Legend says, that when a man dies, his voice is added to the chorus.

For Halo 1 to 3, they made the game because they had a game to make and they knew what they wanted to do.
Now they make it solely because they know people will buy it and thats it.

Orangers will be proud
Sometimes I do this too and just sit back and remember the times back then when my best mates and I used to play this game together.

Sincerely,
A Concerned Halo fan who doesn't give a shit who makes a Halo game, as long as it's damn Halo

R.I.P. Halo. Halo 3 was the peak in the franchise. The very pinnacle of its success. They took a very downward slope by making halo 4.
+Joshua Bean I think they were scraping the peak for a bit:/ 3 into reach was great let's not talk about after.
agreed.
+Joshua Bean Halo 4 is fine.. but Halo 3 was indeed very good.
+Joshua Bean Halo 4 was the perfect conclusion to the Halo franchise IMO. They should have left MC to die at the end of Halo 4 but they didn't. Which pisses me off.
