Both of them are torn between their crush and their spouse right now. They both still want to get together with their crush, but they start to realize that they have quite strong feelings for each other as well. They just haven't realized yet that it is mutual, they still think that it's a one-sided thing.

Yes I definitely agree! But I feel like Akari was crying because it seems everyone was trying their best to have her and Minami get together and cheer her on and it feels like their efforts have gone to waste and she feels so bad but at the same time this episode was definitely a bit of realization of her having so much more feelings for Jiro

Ahh I don't know how I missed this! I love this episode so much it had so many just really sweet moment Jirou helping Akari with her yukata, Akari coming home and knowing Jirou was gonna be there to help make everything feel better. I love all these sweet and comforting moments that we get to see more and more of every episode

Not gonna lie, seeing Akari so sad was so depressing, but this episode was still cute and wholesome.
