WJ used to come to Bison Raceway by Ste Anne Manitoba. I was still in my diapers. That crazy wheelie tank, Red express, to hear that voice. He NHRA, this is early mid teens memories. NEARLY 2000HP!S the horsepower rating are an estimate, there is no top fuel dyno. If there was it would be plastered all over you tube.
I was running ProStock back then but don't specifically remember the Gator's of that year. Where was Garlits? (BTW... That track looks sketchy as hell! It looks like it has a very nice coating of oil in both lanes. No wonder no one could get hooked up)
@@CalvinWalker2000 Oh yeah... I vaguely remember that now. Seemed kind of weird that he wouldn't be racing in his back yard. Some kind of beef with NHRA as I recall.
The 70's were awesome in Drag Racing! The 1976 Gatornationals is was great testament of that 👍🏁
This was the golden age of drag racing.... cars & body styles were beautiful back then
