First your videos are great. you break things way down easier to follow. I just got back to roller skating & found the dance type skating could you offer advice on if specific wheels are best for this or special plates etc... I have relatively new riedell R3 skates with 62x38mm it also has the #88a on them. they're abec5 I think is the term. I've already realized the stops must go. any advice would be great Your SO smooth I hope I can learn alittle. thanks
Mack Graston Exactly! I just bought some Carreras and they have those annoying toe stops. So, I recently bought some jam skate plugs to replace them. Haven't skated in nearly 2 years, so i'm a bit rusty now, but I've had 2 or 3 other pairs of Carreras and sold those, but this pair i'm keeping this time. I say that, but i'm going to try to stick with it (skating for a long time). :)
Like Mack said, they get in the way of doing tricks and jam skating. Therefore, they sell what they call Jam Skate Plugs to screw into place, to replace the factory toe stops.
liquidblue make sure you boot has a good heel on it. Flat boots are more meant for derby skating. Make sure the trucks (the part that attaches the wheels to the boot) are at least nylon or metal. Not plastic like the Cheaper Chicago Skates. Make your skates are adjusted properly
It's an ok song, each person has their own favorite rink song. Mine would be Double Dutch Bus by Frankie Smith. That's a good rhythm song to shuffle skate / jam skate to. I also like the old skool stuff like Debbie Deb's Lookout Weekend.

Pearlygates, someone gave me the boots, my man Hez put the plate and the wheels on. Because I do tricks on my toes or front wheels he removed the stopper and the holder for the stopper. Now I can doe more free style!

Dumb question but why doesn't he have toe stops on the skate?
Toe stops are only good for starts in speed skating and stops in roller derby. Other wise they get in the way.
