Interesting take. I fly with Delta and BA on my pond hops. But when I recently went to CDG I took jetBlue… I flew Economy and was pleasantly surprised by how well done it was!!
Great video, James. The perspective of taking a narrow body trans-Atlantic is interesting. It looks like JetBlue tries to make the best of it. I didn't realize they flew that low across the Atlantic. I'm sure it can get pretty bumpy at times. I was intrigued by the meal ordering on the AVOD screen. Seems like all those orders would be hard to keep track of in economy. Thanks for sharing the trip!
Thanks, I hope you are doing well. Yes they definately do a little more to make it more enjoyable compared to other legacy airlines. The amenity kit is a nice touch, trouble is I don't use any of that stuff and would rather have a smoother ride. The crew sorts the meals on the trays then load up the carts so it seems a pretty good way to do it.
Yeah you can't complain at that price. I did not feel cramped in the cabin or anything, it was just the slower crossing speed for the A321 and the cruise altitude that annoyed me a little.
I can see some routes going narrow body, but I do wonder what sort of Cargo loss the airline might make flying such a small jet with also a lot less people on it.
Interesting insight into the JetBlue narrow-body experience across the Atlantic. Overall, despite some positives, it wouldn`t be my choice. Thanks for posting James.
Thanks for sharing this flight and your thoughts on it. You had some great takeoff footage. Sorry it wasn't the smoothest of flights for you, so hope the next one is better! Take care and have a good week.
Hi James, yeah, this is post Covid flying at its absolute worst. I remember all the beautiful first class flights you went on, but it seems like you’re commuting more from London to the US now. There are still 777’s to hop on. Thanks for posting!❤️✈️
Je prends le vol Jet blue en septembre 2024 au départ de CDG. Ce sera mon premier vol transatlantique sur un avion aussi petit... J'espère ne pas être déçu...
Flew Mint to/from CDG and it was way better than any legacy US carrier service I’ve experienced. Food was great and I liked being able to build my meal on the TV. The only con for some is its 1x1 seating so you’re pretty far from your travel partner (which may be a good or bad thing!)
Nice video! I can’t speak for economy but I did fly their Mint product and honestly forgot I was on a narrow-body. I was hesitant to try someone new (usually fly DL or UA) but ended up enjoying it. Their fares for AMS next Spring, last I checked, were nearly $3k cheaper than DL One. Safe travels!
How was turbulence through the whole flight? My friend went to and from london to new york in jan and he had such bad turbulence on the narrow body hes now afraid to fly.
Seat belt sign came on a few times mainly due to the low altitude and being in the weather, it was pretty smooth once the weather had passed, but it just frustrated me all the bigger jets were just flying way higher than we were and passing over it.
I just flew in JetBlue from London and it was far better than on the middle section of a wide body. Service/food was fantastic. Also, the lower altitude is a reason you’ll pick another airline? Come on! 👎🏻
Yeah 30K feet it quite low i have seen many of this Jet Blue flights cruise this route in the 33-36K feet range. I was looking at your flight data in Flight Aware and your flight started at 30K feet then it climbed to 34K and that was its final altitude.
First time I’ve heard someone complain about the altitude a plane is flying. Maybe you can make a suggestion to the pilots and air traffic controllers next time 😂
The food portion doesn't look bad at all. Delta's meal size is small compare to this and it's considered as the best US airline.

Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed it so much!
Another excellent report James, keep them coming.
Great video. Always calm and informative. Thanks. 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Jetblue is the most underrated Airline in the US.
Great choice of music for this video!

Well if you're put off by altitude that's too bad. But soft product is way better than those other airlines.
Very good and honest review.
I'm flying with Jetblue from LGW to JFK for Christmas, I only paid £475. Compared to the other wide body carriers, I got a bargain!
Yeah you can't complain at that price. I did not feel cramped in the cabin or anything, it was just the slower crossing speed for the A321 and the cruise altitude that annoyed me a little.
@@Whenitraveltheworld it's same flight time as a 777, why would the altitude annoy you?
Been awhile since I had since my last notification fir one of your videos nice to have you back
Thank you, I will be doing a few more here and there.
we all must get used for the future to a majority of flights like this one with narrow bodies twin jets.Wonderful video.
I can see some routes going narrow body, but I do wonder what sort of Cargo loss the airline might make flying such a small jet with also a lot less people on it.
Uh isn't the majority of flights already narrow body?

Well said! Really how I felt, Its fine, but not really that great unless the ticket is a lot cheaper than other airlines.

Thanks Michael. Next Flight is with Austrian !!!!
@@Whenitraveltheworld looking forward to it
You’re back making videos!!
On a narrow body, I do expect and appreciate the FAs to tell people to move out of the way.
Yeah I do certainly understand that, but they were very bossy about it and just kept saying it over and over.
probably because in the US nobody follows instructions 🤣@@Whenitraveltheworld
My next fly to Europe, I'll on board .

I wonder if it's any better in Mint class (I think that's what they call business class)

Does Jet Blue fly to Spain?

Couldn’t think of anything worse. A pond hop on an A321 …. Absolutely not. Like doing a long drive in a Mini.

He’s not wrong to say that, I’m a nervous flyer and if they’re flying at an altitude where weather and CAT is present why would I get on it ?
@@vespasian1695turbulence can happen on literally any flight! Come on.
