I want to thank Shadi and Shidan Toloui Wallace for giving me the permission to collaborate with them on this beautiful piece of music and share this video with you all. This was BY FAR the hardest and most challenging thing I've EVER done on an RC 505 loopstation. I started from 7pm and didn't finish it until 6am the next morning, there was a point where I nearly gave up, it was that difficult. But my relentless determination didn't allow me to stop! I hope you enjoy this final product and brings you happiness during these difficult times.
Lastly, and PLEASE all artists take heed from what Im about to say to you, especially to the young Baha'i music producers that might be inspired by this video and want to do something similar. YOU MUST ASK FOR PERMISSION!!! This song in particular includes the Bahai sacred writings and therefore is not a song to be messed around with. I realized I needed to be mindful that this was a sacred piece of music, and my conviction to add my contribution and hit the right balance really spurred me on. I ran various versions of this past Shadi and Shidan as I wanted them to be happy with the final product.
This is my birthday of Bahá’u’lláh gift to the world, I thank God for all the blessings he has bestowed me and the talents Ive required in beatboxing/looping and music over the last few years! Thank you, Kalim :)
