This is a very solid interpretation. Mr. Orlandini plays Elogio de la Danza with character and showing deep understanding of this famous piece. There´s been taken fully advantage of the rhythm and melody, both lines played in a remarkable way and in perfect harmony. There is a well structured development of the theme accompanied with great dynamics and beautiful colouring, you can actually "feel" the drama, the dance, the echoes and the Caribbean rhythms. WONDERFUL INTERPRETATION.

I used to think that Ricardo Cobo had the best interpertation on this, so far. After watching yours, there is no other interpertation I have heard with so many and different dynamics and timbre. You sir, deserve my respect for this

I agree w/ you skatas, this is a classic example of how this piece should be played. This is a required ''must play' if you're a classical guitar student/performer.

suonavo questo pezzo quando avevo 16 anni e mi piaceva. Adesso ne ho quasi 32, e non capisco perchè si suoni ancora questa musica. Comunque bella interpretazione! Bravo veramente!

I've chipped my nail 3 times and every damn time it was while playing Obstinato

I tried hitting the bridge in Obstinato by hitting my nail on it. Now I've chipped my nail. Guess I should just palm it.

Not a massive fan of this interpretation, he has a complete disregard for some of Brouwer's rhythms

If you really knew Brouwer, you'd know he himself would get super nasty while playing this piece and Orlandini's version by far does the most justice for this piece.

Yeah! I only found out about all the aleatoric elements after studying it for a while. Can you link me any recordings?

Toby Morgan You know what it was told to me by my teacher Dr Gould that Brouwer was this way, which you can kinda tell. A lot of people do a good job on Canticum OTT which is a super similar piece. Just a lot of folks never seem to get this piece. I think it's a South American thing to have that nastiness
