    I've seen all of your TWV videos and I've got over 800 hours of game time myself.
    I'd like to give you one peace of advice.
    At the beginning of the game, before you do anything else, make roads across Onbu's back in the shape of a cross going through or near the center, East West, North South.
    Give leeway to spikes and other obstructions and try to stay on the boarders of the green and brown patches.
    Build high traffic buildings on the side of the road.
    Build specific roads to buildings that need specific locations.
    It lets your carriers move a whole lot faster and it helps later in the game.
    I noticed the trees are harder to cut down in this experimental version so I'm not sure how well this will work in it.

      The trees take ages to cut down, but the experimental version just released today!!
      I’ve just recorded the next two episodes and roads are incoming as I can see the value of having them early, especially once you need workers on opposite ends of Onbu (like with the dung collector way at the back).
      Will have to give your grids a go!

    More than one carpenter is a must in the midgame IMO, especially when you're building the Trade Post and ocean equipment. I never really got the fishery to work as well as I'd like, too sensitive to temp swings and long growth times IMO.
    Man, you got some crazy luck with the number of nightshades!

      I’ve always liked the fishery, but only if you get a very large ocean biome. Fish can be a good food then.
      I think we will have to get another carpenter, it’s just slow otherwise.
      Crazy amount of nightshades! It’s been great, Onbu isn’t starving, everything seems to be going smoothly… for now….

    I'm pretty sure Onbu used to eat when his hunger was 20% or higher so that 60% is definitely a change.
    Ooh, a new weather hazard! Fortunately it doesn't seem like much of an issue.
    You researched the pantry but you haven't built one yet?

      Yea, the 60% thing is definitely just an experimental version thing.
      True, we don’t have enough food to worry about a pantry at the moment. I just needed to unlock what was behind the pantry.
      Gail isn’t too much of a problem, unless you were having major happiness issues already.

      Possibly! The workers don’t seem to carry things into the buildings as a priority anymore?
      Not sure!
