Didn’t the health department fail his restaurants several times. As I recall he couldn’t pass an inspection. I also recall folks taking pics of where he baked his cakes was a nasty where house that had mold, rats and roaches. There was a lot of negative reviews on his food and service at his restaurants. He also,allegedly didn’t pay his employees. He’s the last person that is qualified to judge black owned restaurants because his restaurants were an epic fail

I also find he is really negative when it comes to most female restaurants, more so than male owners. But my mom always said if you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything. Even when things are good, it needs more salt, the real restaurants are not supposed to use all that salt.
