Another lovely podcast - beautiful knits and warm atmosphere. I also love the long podcasts because you can really settle in without thinking about what to play next. When the format is long, I feel the podcaster is less rushed and can let their thoughts flow without worrying about time. A lot more calming.

Thank you so much! I'm especially pleased to hear about the warm atmosphere - that is exactly what I was hoping it would be 🙏🏻 thank you also for sharing your thoughts on the format! I agree with everything you said and enjoy the long episodes a lot - both making them myself and watching other beautiful podcasts 🫶🏻

Hi Heidiy. Love your podcast. I like the format of long and calm podcast that as you say doesn't interrupt the knitting flow. This week has not been a good week because it started with migraine. It went away for one day but it came back yesterday evening. I'm glad that could be able to watch your podcast and knit on the second sock in bed. It's something very true you said about the second sock syndrome. I finished the first one yesterday and today I started the other one. My main WIP is a sweater Tailwind from novita for my partner and he is a big person almost two meters tall with broad shoulders. There is always some adjusting with sweaters patterns for him because they never fit. I have knitted the body and two thirds of the sleeves. I like your colours I think that we are quite close in colour theory with cool muted neutral colours. So I get really inspired by the beautiful garments you make. 🤍

Hi and thank you so much for your kind words 🩷 I'm sorry to hear you have migraines as well, they can be terrible! I'm also honoured that you decided to use your limited energy to watch my podcast episode 🙏🏻 You're being such a nice partner for knitting your significant other a sweater! It is s huge job, especially when the resipient is tall and has broad shoulders. I'm so happy to hear that my colour choices inspire you 🥰 thank you for this thoughtful comment!

I just love your colour palette Heidi! These are also totally my colours, I love all the greyish brownish pinks etc :D And I already clicked two patterns you mentioned. So many things to knit, so little hands :D :D

Thank you so much! 🌸 glad to hear I'm not the only one with all the -ish colours! I know right, so many beautiful knits, so little time and only two hands 😮‍💨 tough choices! Thanks for the comment! 🤍

Hello Heidiy 🌺🌸 I am time travelling through your podcasts from the beginning (in English) but I also wanted to know what was going on now...I love your calm relaxed vibe, and I also enjoy the longer videos, I am a bit stressed with all the choppy, short, fast things...I find that a lot of youtubers tend to talk very fast and rush through things, which feels a bit weird and not at the same pace as knitting and slow living...I am not always the best at it, as I often feel very distracted and sidetracked and all over the place and overwhelmed, but that is also why I try to do my best to cultivate a rhythm of soulful pace...I was thinking about one of your past knits, "lento" and how you said in a previous podcast that it has something to do with flying off the needles and that was funny because in Italian lento means slow...all your knits are gorgeous and beautifully made and fit you perfectly...loving the colours...as for the weather, actually summer is my favourite season, even if everybody moans about the heat (and it has been terrible here these past weeks, too much, today better) but I think I love summer for many reasons, I crave sunlight 🌻🌻🌻🌻 and I cannot stand to feel cold...plus everything slows down (probably because of the heat) the city becomes empty, there is more silence, less pressure to do, to rush, a sense of being suspended out of time, the cicadas making their typical sound...and the sea I love so much (and never go to because it is not near here) I also love autumn and spring for other reasons, except autumn makes me a little sad because then comes winter, and there is no more Light...and winter....well if I could just snuggle up constantly in front of a fire with knitting and music and books and a pet and warm beverages and snow outside with nothing to do...then I would love winter too! 😂 take care 💚

Thank you so so much for your lovely comment! 🩷 it's sometimes funny to me that people describe me and my vibe as calm - I usually feel everything but calm 😆 I have ADHD and I'm very high energy person. But maybe the fact that knitting is my way to slow down shows in the podcast? And also the fact that I'm speaking in a another language might alow down the pace. It is so funny that Lento means different things in different languages! I actually recognize that italian word cause I used to play piano and there are a lot of discriptive words in italian.
I'm glad you enjoy summer! ✨ I think there is the favourite season for everyone. My contempt for summer is mostly due to my health issues, which get worse during summer (light, heat etc). Autumn is by far my favourite season, because we still have a little bit of the light but accompanied with a cool breeze 🥰 thank you for this lovely and thoughtful comment!

    • @bluejay5531
      @bluejay5531 ปีที่แล้ว

@@Heidiy yes there are Italian words like "lento" in the tempo of piano, I used to play as a kid...same here with the energy, I feel a lot of pressure inside, I do not have a diagnosis but looking more into it I do feel a lot of the stress and certain traits of ADHD, which is why I think when I manage to focus and finish it is so healing to me.
I understand living with chronic illness, I also have my own issues I am dealing with and mess up my energy, and sometimes I think that the stress high energy is because when I do feel well enough I want to do all the things, often I have energy crashes and have to pace myself....
I love autumn too, I love the colors associated with autumn, I think they are my favourite kinds of colors, and actually in the beginning of October here the weather is spectacular still...I think it's mostly the shortening of the days, the lack of light that messes with my mood...Barbara

I always enjoy your episodes. You have been getting quite a few projects off the needles lately! I'm looking forward to seeing the intarsia sweater when it's finished. I don't like summer either and today the "feels like temperature" was 104 F (40 C). Too hot! But I'm still knitting :) I'm mostly a sweater knitter but I'm currently knitting a Vertices Unite shawl by Stephen West.

Thank you so much! 🌸 40C is definitely way too hot! We've been getting some rain in the last few days and it feels so good 🙏🏻 the Vertices Unite shawl was a fun knit, I enjoyed the switching sections!

Kiitos neuleseurasta.

Parasta :)

Dear Heidi, thank you for another lovely podcast, I have always such a good time watching your video while knitting. I had the luck to spend quite some time in Finland a couple of weeks ago and your country could give me so much peace. You always remind me of that feeling 🥰

@@Heidiy travelling over Latvia and Estonia we skipped Helsinki (I was thinking of you and your posts there...but I wasn`t alone) so we started in Porvoo where we could join a ceremony in that beautiful old church to welcome the summer. From there we were going north passing Kuopio, Hepoköngäs, Rovaniemi, Inari, Neiden to reach our most northern point Vardö (it was sooo cold). After a short visit to Norway we went south again over Kilpisjärvi and Tornio ... Sweden, Denmark and back to Germany - it was more an expedition than a vacation 😅 Last year we visited the west coast of Finland and my favourite place was Fäboda💗

Aivan upea Twist Loop Top! Kiva jakso, on aina hauska nähdä millaisia wipaarteita toisilta löytyy. 😄 Tykkäsin Tolsta Tee lankakombostasi, low contrast raitaneule olisi aika houkutteleva ajatus...🤔
