but what's really great about this channel is your enthusiasm and liveliness energy, without being cringey or annoying which is pretty difficult.

Bravo! Love the enthusiasm and straight talk. With all the choices out there it’s nice to have someone putting entertaining and educational info out there. I’d buy you a drink if I could but here’s a contribution to have one on me so Cheers!
Your videos led me to a couple of purchases I never would have made without your recommendation (Aviation and The Botanist). We’ll done and keep up the great work!

I've just figured out, at the age of 41, that gin is my favorite of all the spirits. I started with Beefeater, and then picked up the Beefeater 24 based on your recommendation. I loved it! I'm going to try some more on this list. Thank you, sir!

Sipsmith was the first gin I bought after a long hiatus from Gin. I remember i arrived to a town called Preston in northwest England and the first evening I wanted to check out the bar scene. My first place had 100’s of gins and the bartender made me several different GnT’s. Later that week i saw the Sipsmith on the shelf for 22 pounds and picked up a bottle as well as some fevertree indian tonic. It always takes me back to that memory! Thanks again for the videos!

May I suggest trying a small batch tonic, such as Fever Tree or Fentiman's or a tonic syrup such as Jack Rudy's (my favorite). It takes the taste and refreshment level to 11. I like Beefeater too.

Not a heavy drinker by any means BUT gin has always been my go to when I do want to drink. I am by nature a joint smoker but being jobs in my area won’t allow it, I’ve turned to sipping again. I’m not an acquired tastesmith like yourself but I ran for the Bombay Sapphire and quite enjoy it with the Polar brand half and half Grapefruit and lemon with a splash of lemonade. Was wondering your opinion on which gin, in your professional opinion, would pair well with my choice of mixer listed above. Love the content mi amigo. Much love

What a brilliant suggestion, who was the insightful chap that made that suggestion hmm? Thanks Bobby for my 15 minutes of fame. I was going to get back with you on the Jack Rabbit Gin by Beehive Distillery here in Utah. It was my first taste of a small batch gin and at first I was not sure if I liked it. However I absolutely love it.! There is an aroma of sage and pepper with a hint of rose petal . When you combine it with Fever tree gold and a slight squeeze of lime it is absolutely delicious. Let me know if you want to feature it and I would be happy to send you a bottle.

Love it Bobby. Have tried the Hampstead and Tanqueray 10 and they definitely deserve to be in there, in fact Tanqueray 10 is my favourite, so the Beefeater 24 and Brokers must be some pups to be ahead of it and I have made it my mission to source and taste them this year. Glad to see no flavoured gins made it in there as I can’t stand anything overly sweet and sickly to my fussy palette.
In 2020 you gotta try “Jawbox Belfast Gin”, it’s £25 in Tesco & Asda (in Belfast) when you do it will definitely plank itself in your Best Gins Of 2020 list. Killbroney Gin is another very tasty Irish Gin and named after the mountain I go mountain biking on (that’s it in my profile picture), but it’s slightly over your £30 price limiter.
Keep up the good work Bobby, can’t wait to see what videos and reviews are in store for us in 2020, cheers lad

Darling Bobby, I had my gin fixer fly in your number one. I tested it today and compared it with my number 1 under 20 euros, which is the Beefeater London Dry. I must say The Brokers is quite nice but I think there is more taste to the Beefeater. I prefer the Beefeater as my go to London dry under 20 Euros. Love your channel. Xxxxx from The Netherlands, the birthplace of gin. UPDATE: I replaced Beefeater with the German gin Kings Court foe € 8.99, as I cannot tell which is which and Brokers has moved up the ladder and I do like it better now than Beefeater.

Of course it is difficult to rate two great gins. What I have learned this past year is the difference between the old established gins and the new gins. My number 1 expensive gin is Catz as you know. 39.95 Euros for 70cl.It was created in 2015. Yes, I know!! I also like the new 1999 Hendricks for 36.95 Euros for 70cl.I have two g&ts a day and today I started with Brokers and my second was Beefeater. I know you like BF too. But they are both great. Because I couldn't decide which one was best (Bf just a little better Haha) I treated myself to a half serve of Catz, which is the greatest new gin in the world. Xxx from Holland.

Have you tried Inverroche, and/or the variations there of? It is a South African gin made with fynbos (basically South African wildflowers). It is absolutely delicious just to drink it neat or on the rocks. The original and the Amber are BY FAR my favorite gins I have ever tried and I wish it were more easily accessible. (I currently can not get it where I live and it is quite saddening...) If you have not tried it, I DEFINITELY recommend it, and I would love to watch you do a review of Inverroche and its variations.

My top 3 in no particular order:
    Martin MIller's Westbourne Strength
    Junipero
    Barr Hill
MM (Westbourne) is sensational and opened my eyes (and taste buds) to other gins several years ago when I took the plunge to something other than Tanqueray.
Junipero is high octane juniper driven as the name would suggest. Just love this stuff. Be careful, it might knock you on your ass.
Barr Hill: More of an Old Tom style, but liquid gold as I mentioned in another comment.

I thought you had lost your mind with #2 & #3. I found those 2 bloody awful, and high up on my worst gin list. Thankfully, you redeemed yourself with #1. I call Brokers my vacation gin, because I only buy it (and stock up) on vacation. It's much cheaper in States I vacation in, than my home State. When we moved late last year, I was surprised at the number of bowler caps I found and tossed. I also agree that original Bombay is better than Sapphire. I've seen Brooklyn at my liquor store and dismissed it as another lame US gin. Because of your video, I will definitely give that one a try to check out their claim of "hand-crushed fresh juniper berries".

Hi, there is a gin that I’d like to see you do a review of from South Africa. This gin is made of or flavoured with rose petals and cucumber. I think that it sounds very refreshing and unique for a gin and believe that it would be amazing as a Drink in the afternoon with a small Greek salad and salmon dish. In fact I think that it would be an unusual product to use to cure smoked salmon.
And that is something else that you might want to do… I can see that you’ve got some cocktails but how about cooking with gin? There are quite a few recipes that are very tasty then have gin is one of the main ingredients.
The first one that comes to mind is a lemon and gin sorbet.
And Jen and tonic is a very traditional way of drinking gin… However, I believe the tonic use will greatly affect the flavour and quality of the drink. So could you please do a review of and then a list of the top 10 tonic waters that you would recommend for Guinness. And do a different tonic waters react differently enough in Different gins that there are a recommended rules to follow when it comes to how to choose the tonic for the different types of gins?

You should try "Seven Crofts" Scottish Dry Gin, its production is artisanal and in this case it means quality.
The content as well as the container are enjoyable, the bottle is a wonderful piece of glasswork. When you open the bottle you smell the quality of the ingredients, a first note of peppercorn hits you, it's fragrant without having a sort of bad bitterness, then you smell pine leaves, citrus, and finally juniper.
When in mouth, it is the most delicate gin I tasted so far, every note mentioned above is found, nothing overpowers the rest, it's bitter but it's delightful bitterness. The same distillery does limited series that I haven't got a chance to try since it is not available here in Canada ☹️ I dream of the day where it will become available here, I Discovered Seven Crofts because I was gifted a Bottle when my sister living in Scotland visited me here in Canada.
