I owned a chappy when stationed at Edwards AFB in the Mojave desert in California back in 1976-77. This was before I sold it and purchased at new 1978 SX 750 Special. I drove mt 50CC yellow chappy from the base to Pasadena at least a half dozen times a 100+ mile trip that took about 3 hours each way. Loved the little thing. Brings back memories of foolish/fun times. Thanks for posting the video.
I just picked up a yellow 1976 Chappy. When I bought it I thought it was a 50cc engine. After doing some research and verifying on the left side cylinder base it's a 72cc engine making it an LB80 not a LB50. It has 489 miles on it.
There she is! Gas cap looks different than mine. key has 3 positions, all the way left (CCW) is off, middle position is Run but no lights, all the way right (CW) is lights and run
Do you?? That be cool. I may order a few thing today, but if I have a problem I let you know. I feel like the older bikes a kinda rare around here in Columbia Missouri! I bet you never even herd of this town lol. I know you live in Ohio right? I seriously been learning off you since my first bike over 2 years ago
just measure the length to double check before you order. Yeah I'm in Columbus. I've heard of Columbia though. Older bikes are out there, you just have to look harder.@@nastynatesscooters9896

I take the stock pipe!! Lol I bet it fits the towny. Qt don’t fit towny. Exsaust pipe anyway. Right?
yeah this pipe won't fit the towny. qt50 pipes won't either.
Chappy means Chapaquidick where ted kennedy went off the road in his delta 88
Así hará compañía a mi yzf750r del 97
I’ve herd the kickstarter will have issues. What kind of issues are they?
Either the kick start shaft strips out or breaks. I haven't had an issue yet.
Yes, have had two chappies and both stripped out. Easy push start and throw it in high and fires right up
Nice!!! This guy in my neighborhood has a red one and I want it! Do it got peddles?
Like moped? Or noped?
Damn it sounds good!!
the lb80 Chappy is a noped. Some of the 50cc versions had pedals.
Hey the cylinder head does the spark plug point up? Or point left? And are you using stock air filter?
How much would you sell the stock pipe for at least the back part
Where is the best place to find the piston housing for towny?? I need those long screw that go by the pistion
they are just m6 cylinder studs. You might even find them at the hardware store.
I probably have some extra cylinder studs. or these www.treatland.tv/original-OEM-yamaha-YT60-engine-stud-M6-x-106mm-p/bolt-stud-606418.htm
