I am coloured, i can say i am racist but i spread it equally to all races including my own. But honestly i think most South Africans are racist many dont know it. Our parents born into a racist system i was born in 1991 never knew apartheid but its in our minds. If a Indian girl brinks home a black man to meet her parents they will flip unless he is a rich dude. And this applies to all the other races.
It's more a cultural thing rather than a race thing, most indian families are traditionally rooted in their religious affiliations and mostly Hindu practices, up until the mid 90s it would be taboo for indians of 1 denimniation to marry other indians across the religion/culture line, like Hindi speaking indians wouldnt marry tamilian hindus etc...its all about preservation of the cultural practices. Most Hindus don't consume beef or pork and altogether abstain from meat frequently. The rituals and cultural practices are followed mostly by those people who are of the same language and denomination.
I once tried to rent a house in The Bluff and the agent told me it was taken. A week later I see the place is still available and I inquired again and the agent said he is sorry but the owner is racist. I think I still have the screenshots. That agent was honest at least unlike the many others that just ignore or keep saying places are taken when they’re not when we enquire.
Karou Charou is a controversial character and I’ve disliked him ever since I heard him justify the practice of not allowing black domestic staff to use the same dishes and utensils as the family. He isn’t even popular amongst Indians.
I have nothing against Indian people, I get along with them very well. But I bet you if you had interviewed those people at the mall and asked them do you think Indians are racist, I bet most would say yes. Racism doesn’t mean at war and hating each other. Racism is thinking you’re superior and the other is inferior.

Karou Charou is a controversial figure. But then I seem to recall someone whining about my visit to Durban, implying I was a racist for not visiting "all black" townships while briefly in the area. Regardless whether he is popular or well liked or not, he is well liked in the places we visited.

Actually, no. Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden and Cyril all think they are better than me. That is not racism, it is bigotry. There is a difference.
Making distinctions between fictional "races" of homo sapiens based solely on skin pigmentation and then conferring advantage or disadvantage is RACISM at work, not simply hating people.
@@ColonelChrisWyatt The term racism was coined to describe a whole system of belief and its enforcement, not individual human interactions. That is why it ends in ISM. Like communism, socialism, vegetarianism etc. Its only recently people use the word as if it is synonymous with Prejudice when originally it isn’t. Ramaphosa, Nansi Pelosi etc don’t think they’re better than you because you’re white, they might think they’re better than you as individuals because they’re wealthier and more powerful. The biggest icon amongst SA Indians was Mahtma Ghandi who very famously said that Indians should be treated better because they are superior to Africans. Racism is rife amongst the Indian community and they all know it.
Following your line of reasoning about African American shouldn’t they just be called brown South Africans then since they have never been to India before ? Indian South African should then be reserved for citizens who came from India regardless of whether they are black, white or indian.
Actually, you are not following the argument at all. Too, your question is not germane. You are mixing apples and tangerines. My point is about a fictional race hustling term made up in the 1960s to promote racial division in America. Those who deny Elon Musk is an "African American" make that point without even realizing it.
As far as the non-sequitur you suggest regarding "Indians" in South Africa, they are African. The term Indian is for South Africans to decide. Regardless, Indians who come to American and become American citizens are rightly of African-American origin.
@@ColonelChrisWyatt It’s not a South African thing, in your reply to me in the other video you listed “Asians” as Africans. Most of you have no problem saying someone is Asian or Indian or Arab etc regardless of whether they have ever been to those regions before, yet it is somehow controversial to you to say black Americans are Africans. African American is not a fly by night term , it is well established. calling white people from Africa African American is a very recent fad that is really just appropriating a term that already has a meaning. .
If a South African Indian gained American citizenship they would not be of African American origin. If you gained American citizenship how can it be part of your origin. They would be of South African or African Origin and of Indian heritage. They would still identify as Indian.
