Any tips for sewing the zipper pocket to the outer wings when using vinyl? I have been putting blue or masking tape to avoid damaging the vinyl. Works well but a bit of a pain to remove. I guess I could use tear away stabilizer but what do you use?
How far down do you do your snap placement on the exterior that will affect the rectangle ? So if I understand your lines are 3.5 inches front each topstitching. Great idea
That's right, it's approximately 3.5" from each topstitching line. Honestly, I don't measure my snap placement. I have another video that will be up soon that talks about snap placement. I audition each wallet individually to make sure the snap placement is perfect, but it usually comes out to be centered approximately 1 3/4" from the front edge of the wallet AFTER the exterior has been sewin and topstitched. Look for that video on Friday (1/7).
Not of this particular wallet. I used crazy quilt squares I had started years ago when I fancied I'd make my daughter a quilt as a graduation gift. She got cash because the quilt never got made. lol
I'm not understanding this. If you sew any lines across the middle section of the zippered part you attached, won't that effectively close up the bottom part of that zippered rectangle? Thereby making the bottom part inaccessible to use? What am I missing? Thank you.
This is specific to the Necessary Clutch Wallet by Emmaline Bags. It is a more advanced sewing pattern. In this pattern, there's only one side of the divider which is a zippered pocket. You aren't supposed to be able to reach all the way through. It also closes up the bottom of the pocket lining for you. The pattern has you sew a rectangle on the bottom. This is my hack for that bottom part.
Great tips, thank you! I also love your reminder sticker on the plate of your machine!

Wow. Game changer. Thank you for teaching me this. I’m so excited to try this. No guesswork. I think I’m a tad giddy.

Wonderful idea! Thank you for sharing. I will use this method on my next NCW.
What a great idea!!! I will definitely use your technique. Thanks so much for sharing.
You're welcome!
Great, but with my semi-industrial this isn't possible in that first stitch - I always go in 1/2" from the edge to avoid the bulk. Great idea
Thank you so much for this tip!! Will definitely be using this with my next NCW! 😊
I just found out your channel , your so great at it ,and your talented 👏 keep up the good work I'd probably learn something from you 💞thank you
This is so cool, thank you for sharing this.

You're very welcome!
I love doing this ! I do 2 lines. Interior face up. I have a basic machine.
Have you tried doing it with the exterior facing up? You'll get great looking stitches that way.
@@RogueStitches I did try. My foot and machine won’t go that far unless its just cotton.
@@bellaann518 walking foot and Jean needle does wonders
@@devdawg22 yes I need a walking foot!
Brilliant!

@@RogueStitches so I place my snap about 2 to 2 1/4 .
Best idea ever!
Thank you!
Perfect !!
I love the looks of this wallet, where can I find the pattern?
This is the NCW (Necessary Clutch Wallet) by Emmalanie bags.
Thank you.
Do you have a video of doing the outside scrappy
Not of this particular wallet. I used crazy quilt squares I had started years ago when I fancied I'd make my daughter a quilt as a graduation gift. She got cash because the quilt never got made. lol

I totally copied this. I was doing a full rectangle though. I will skip the short sides next time. Great tip!
That's why I made these types of videos! I love sharing ideas. :D
