As animatronics go, this is probably one of the better ones I’ve seen (you get what you pay for). Properly proportioned, and it has a decent sense of “weight,” as opposed to the ones which are simply flimsy costumes draped over a metal frame. While it would have driven up the price point (!), it would have been neat to see the designers work a swiveling half skull/half human head into the helmet. Properly timed with the lights, the head would alternate between the two. It looks like that outfit may actually fit you, Mike! You should get a second one, dress up in it, and REALLY surprise your Hallowe’en guests! It looks really great on the bridge over your koi pond. A little green uplighting, some surf/bubble SFX, and you’re good to go. Have fun prepping for October. Looking forward to seeing your layout this year!
My husband is obsessed with antique Mark 5 diving helmets, we’ve seen a few real ones, so I showed my husband this and he asked if you got this at some specialty Halloween store, I told him Lowes, and he was impressed! The size is right, the coloring is pretty good. If you’re ever near Tarpon Springs, there’s good food and lots of old diving stuff everywhere, they’re know for sponge diving and seafood.
I have him as well and HATE the motor noise. Almost enough to make me return him. But he looks so good with my lowes kraken I'm torn. I can't wait to see ur laser/fog display b/c that's exactly what I wanna do next year!
He looks great and is perfect for your little lagoon area. He sure is creepy and I agree a light inside the ask would be needed...shame they couldn't keep it lit! Love that paint job, it really looks like rusted metal. Those sound effects are annoying...I would keep the sound off as well...not needed for creepiness factor! xx
That’s gonna look awesome in the swamp. I can’t wait to see it all set up. And I agree with some of the other commenters. Major Scooby Doo vibes which I love. And epic thumbnail for that video. Lol
I bought him yesterday before he sells out! I'm so sad he's indoor use only! 😢 I would love to see a video where someone finds a way to use him outdoors. It would be cool if his eyes glowed red but as an on/off setting or if you could program red eyes to only glow when the green light turns off. I love the patina and I'd be curious to see if more nautical animatronics come out over the next 5years or if this is the year to stock up on the set.
Love this prop-tx for the demo. That Halloween Bro has a Mysterious Mermaid Tank tutorial that I think you would find interesting, if you haven’t already seen it.
Hi, new sub here! The diver is awesomely creepy!! I agree re: the background side effects drowning out the voice (no pun intended...) I can't wait to see your final setup!
He is wonderful! The better materials really make a difference in his looks. (He is also giving me a Doctor Who monster vibe). I think the decision to make the helmet a single piece rather than two really sells the effect (even though it makes it bulkier to store and ship)
Great video!!! My wife snagged one for my birthday and it's freaking awesome! Going to reside permanently in our horror-themed bedroom. I added some fishing net (decorative, not real, from Hobby Lobby) around his shoulders, some rusty foam prop chains, and a starfish and some shells in the net. I also scraped the green gauze off the harpoon tip which improved it IMHO. I'm going to make a sandy base for him with some tall artificial plants so that he looks like he's emerging from the ocean.
the deep sea diver with some green seaweed type mesh or that creepy cloth/ netting in a scene with a mermaid skeleton with a green or blue spotlight on it would be cool. maybe some skeleton crabs too or fish
I agree about putting a small light in his mask to keep the face on. I would like to see if its creepeor lit from the bottom or top of inside the mask. Another theme people have been saying is that he looks like a perticular skull faced scubba diver from Scooby doo. So i suppose he would work as the monster if.someone bought all that 70's Halloween from Micheals for a Scooby doo party.
Sounded like it's made well with good quality fabric, so you can see why the price is high. Maybe you can tuck some battery operated string lights in the helmet to keep some light on the skull.
I was determined to figure out what the phrases are since it's so difficult to understand. Thankfully, the mystery has been solved... (1) "I know they're down here I just can't see them yet. (pause) Oh, there they are. I've never seen anything like this. I'll at least get one before they get me. Arrhhhhh" (2) "Back you evil monsters...back. I'll harpoon you and feed you to the sharks if you enter this place! Get back!!!"
That looks cool🙌, and it would be great if you find a way to keep the face lit up!! Hey! I wish I’d had this a few years ago when I made my living room into an underwater theme!😅🤿🖤🌊
He looks very cool when lit up. I like him without all the noise too. A lot of times all these halloween props making a racket are competing & its just too much. I hear the motor noise but idk if it would be noticeable with a lot of things going on in a halloween display.
Much as I love this one tje price is far too much for most people. Especially when you can get the Mega Wolf from Party City on sale for the same price. Do appreciate the great details though!
They are not selling anymore I got one and now they are going for 600$ through 700$ online since they are all out of stock everywhere here in September 2024 lol
I’m a sucker for this type of horror theming but the price is what’s killing me. I’ll probably just end up building a stand for my bioshock Big Daddy cosplay. great animatronic though.
@HappyHaunting I know it's a mistake on lowes or whoever made the packaging but if the animatronic has a screw in adapter into the module, the module is where the on off switch is basically the white rectangular box and if the clothes are super good quality like heavy duty that covers the wires ans electronics so no rain or water can get to them so anyways if you see the adapter like how you can unscrew the wire to the plug part so it can be stored easier and make more room in the box for when it's the off season so the adapter looks like an inflatable plug but it's not
For $350? This is absolutely crap. Maybe $250 max. You have to do your own details to make it work. At least another $100 to give it a vibe. Moss, light, some vines hanging off him and some netting. Then you add on your own sounds. Honestly it’s really poor quality. Helmet light won’t stay on as well.
This is one is somewhat of a disappointment to me. Main thing is the $350 when it should’ve been $150 and second all those sound effects don’t make any sense in the first phrase cause you don’t know what’s going on. The second phrase is better, they should’ve had a similar phrase to that. Other than that he’s a cool prop
Reminds me of one of the best ghosts from the vintage scooby doo cartoons.
zoinks its captain cutler!
Me too I thought the same but I wished the mouth would open and close
And he'd have gotten away with it, too, if it hadn't been for those meddling kids.
Captain cutler
Exactly what i thought of when I saw him

Good idea with the head!
Thank you for the non-rushed, informative tutorial - much appreciated!
This was the LOWES animatronic that I was the most excited for. Could be painted for a Scooby Doo theme
That would be awesome!
glow in the dark would look good

That thumbnail is incredible! I absolutely love your idea for that swamp scene and I can't wait to see it.
I have him as well and HATE the motor noise. Almost enough to make me return him. But he looks so good with my lowes kraken I'm torn. I can't wait to see ur laser/fog display b/c that's exactly what I wanna do next year!
I want that Kraken but he’s showing unavailable. I’m going to have to do my plan B…
You can probably muffle the motor noise by adding some thin upholstery foam around the torso under the costume.
He looks great and is perfect for your little lagoon area. He sure is creepy and I agree a light inside the ask would be needed...shame they couldn't keep it lit! Totally agree
Oh man! There's no way I could resist altering him to be Vashta Nerada from Doctor Who! Or a Big Daddy from Bioshock!
Man I’m old…. I have no idea who those are.
That’s gonna look awesome in the swamp. I can’t wait to see it all set up. And I agree with some of the other commenters. Major Scooby Doo vibes which I love. And epic thumbnail for that video. Lol
Thanks 👍

I will definitely be using him outside!

I haven’t but I will check it out. I did plan on incorporating my skeleton mermaid in the display. :)
Hi, new sub here! The diver is awesomely creepy!! I agree re: the background side effects drowning out the voice (no pun intended...) I can't wait to see your final setup!
Welcome, Foolish Mortal! Mwahahaha!
Loved the look. Bet you could use some fairy lights inside the helmet for a constant glow 🧚🏻♀️
I will give them a shot.
He is wonderful! The better materials really make a difference in his looks. (He is also giving me a Doctor Who monster vibe). I think the decision to make the helmet a single piece rather than two really sells the effect (even though it makes it bulkier to store and ship)
I’m running out of storage!
He looks amazing. He’d look great with Mermaids 🧜♀️ and Pirates 🏴☠️ Thanks for sharing 💀🪦🎃
I will be incorporating both!

Heads up again party city started animatronic preorders!!!
I was pretty surprised to see you getting this animatronicsince it is a really expensive one! Great video by the way :D
Cause I’m cheap?! lol.
Sounded like it's made well with good quality fabric, so you can see why the price is high. Maybe you can tuck some battery operated string lights in the helmet to keep some light on the skull.
I’m going to give it a try!
I Love it...absolutely amazing!!!
He’s pretty cool!
Love this prop!!!! I don't know how or where I'd use it, but I would buy it and save it for that "one day".... Lol.
He’s standing in my living room right now. Scaring away solicitors.
@@HappyHaunting boom, there it is ! Had a solicitor yesterday. Selling pest control. Ironic, right? Lol. So yea, maybe this would help. Haha.
I got the 12 foot mummy last year, and it was nice having it delivered to my door for no extra charge.
I bet!
He is very cool but I think he is too expensive. $200-250 would be a better price
I agree. For the price they could have at least given him more than two phrases.
they should make animatronics of the Scooby doo villains that would be so cool
Yes it would!
Nice looking and fun … but expensive!
Agreed!

Love this guy. Great video!
Thank you. :)
i kind of want this to make scooby doo cosplay out of, pretty cool
Yes, that would be awesome!
Easily one of the better props from Lowes this year.
Wish I had the room, but these larger boxes are taking over my.home
I know, right?! I'm going to need to start storing things outside.
I would absolutely love to have this prop, but he is a bit cost prohibitive at this time for me.
That looks cool🙌, and it would be great if you find a way to keep the face lit up!! Hey! I wish I’d had this a few years ago when I made my living room into an underwater theme!😅🤿🖤🌊
Very creepy! Cant wait to see him in the display!
Thanks!
He’s fantastic!
it is pretty cool but i just wish it had more animation maybe some stabbing motion or the skull could move
He looks very cool when lit up. I like him without all the noise too. A lot of times all these halloween props making a racket are competing & its just too much. I hear the motor noise but idk if it would be noticeable with a lot of things going on in a halloween display.
How do u adjust sensitivity on activating so he only goes off when someone walks by
He is perfect for my grandparents lakehouse
It is very impressive.
Thanks for sharing this. Mine was cursed and had no manual. This video saved me! Argh
Love this guy!
Much as I love this one tje price is far too much for most people. Especially when you can get the Mega Wolf from Party City on sale for the same price. Do appreciate the great details though!
I like the idea of wolves, but they're hard to build a scene around.
I think why the made the helmet one piece is because you would see the seam and might have the light go through it?
Still, I'd rather deal with that than my lack of storage!
@@HappyHaunting true having a issue with my animatronics and storage

There's also a sea octopus creature at lowes
I’ve been watching for that one for a long time but it’s unavailable. :(
I dig it!
Wow this is awesome 👍
Love the thumbnail 😂
Thank you! I had to convince Producer Tum to do it.

Awesome . I have seen a lot of animatronic props I never wanted to buy one but this one I would definitely buy ! 💦👌
Cool 👍
He is an outdoor rated prop majority of lowes halloween animatronics are weatherproof
The box says for indoor use.
