ABOUT KNIGHT RIDER:
David Hasselhoff stars as Michael Knight in his breakout role as a crime fighter who awakens from a serious injury with a new identity. In the series premiere, Las Vegas police detective Michael Arthur Long is shot in the face and left for dead before being rescued by dying millionaire Wilton Knight, the chairman of Knight Industries and creator of the public justice organization, the Foundation for Law and Government (FLAG). Wilton makes Michael the primary agent for FLAG, giving him a new identity via plastic surgery and the name Michael Knight, plus an arsenal of equipment to continue his crime-fighting work. Principle among this equipment is the Knight Industries Two Thousand, or KITT, a heavily modified and artificially intelligent Pontiac Firebird Trans Am with the ability to talk, fire weapons and travel at high speed. Michael and KITT work together to take down criminals who operate above the law.

K.I.T.T. The real star of the show. He had all the best lines, all the best action scenes and the chicks liked him even more than they did Michael.
I'm was born in 1980 and remember this show very well. They don't make TV shows like this anymore sadly. Kids today don't know what they missed out on. I loved this car.
I know this is an old comment...but I love this car. They dont make shows like this anymore....I miss the 80...and just being a kid...Growing up i didn't realize how poor we were...because we never went to bed hungry...always had clean clothes and a nice bed to sleep in...our clothes were not expensive..but mom worked for the dry cleaner and she would take them to her job...boii thoes were the days..😊😊
@@msccdavis9463 I was born in 1980 and even as a child growing up, I miss the simplicity. Kids now don't know how lucky they have it.
KITT was every kid's dream car back then.. decades later i still want one!
Maybe someday, K.I.T.T. will be a reality.
Someone will have one of them made within 5 years. I’d bet big money on that.
I'm a 2000 baby but yet I still wish I had one! In my opinion this is the world's best show ever!

I feel like a lot of people forget just how incredibly sassy KITT was. Which is too bad, because that's one of my favorite things about KITT.
KITT definitely had feelings,just a different way of perceiving reality.

I love Knight Rider. It's a classic 80s show. A talking crime-fighting car was groundbreaking for the time and our obsession with cars seems to have no end in sight.
Yeah, just imagine if such technological advances in car production, like K.I.T.T., could ever be fully realized in reality!! Maybe one of these days!

I just loved the Bonnie character, brainy and not a bimbo.
I loved her too, & I loved that Edward Mulhare & David Hasselhoff both demanded that Patricia McPherson be reinstated, after they replaced her on season 2.

mistake at 1:35 - 1:37, Michael is no longer on the roof of Karr, but you can still see Michael's legs in the background. (a scene where he was still on it)
I always thought KARR was the greatest Knight Rider villain of them all, in part because he wasn't actually evil. He was simply a less developed, less mature AI, and had a very childlike perspective on the world. He was selfish, but not out of contempt - he only behaved the way he did because he didn't know any better. Had he been updated with KITT's bug fixes, he might have been able to learn, grow, change, adapt and even find some redemption for all the damage he had done.
You must not have ever seen the actual episode of KITT vs KARR. In that episode he is not the angry kid anymore, he's a cold and calculated criminal. Actually evil.
