I'm lucky where my brother is close friends with the creator of this game, Adam. Plus, my bro designed the logo for the game. So pumped to see more people notice this great underrated game.

Nah, it's all good. I usually have two types of games: games that require/deserve my attention (new games with voice overs/story) and games for the NLSS (Path of Exile, games I've played numerous times before). This looks like a game of the 2nd category for me. Enjoyable busy work while also listening to something else.
Hey Enelle, I just wanted to let you know that it feels like you were finally the guy that stepped up and took up the mantle of TotalBiscuit. I really missed watching someone who honestly and passionately reviews small indie games and finds hidden gems for us to enjoy. But ever since you started pumping out Northernlion Trieseses, it feels like there's finally someone doing that again, and it's great.
Thank you for pointing out to me why I somehow like this series so much. No one can fill the void where TB was besides NL. I wouldn't have it any other way.
I disagree. Even TB's videos weren't reviews and "NL tries" are far less critical. I like these videos but you're overestimating them by a lot.

You should check out Nookrium as well. He doesn't review so much as showcase, and nobody compares with NL's charisma, but he also plays way smaller games that can sometimes be gems.

This game is super fun, i played all of it just this weekend and its super relaxing and enjoyable, some quick laughs too with a bit of wholesome sprinkled at the end
I came for the wholesome content but I was most contented by the "why'd ya spill yer beans" reference
Great game, watched Baer play through the game, and a happy Baer playing a happy game is a great combination
It's more of a collect-a-thon than a walking simulator.
Love this game so much. I got surprised by it when I got it from a humble bundle sometime last year. Glad it’s getting some popularity now that it’s released on steam

This was honestly my favorite game from the year so far and one I will recommend for ever. It's just so wholesome, it lifted my mood immensely. Simple but so well done.

I mean Animal Crossing was obvious, but the frog detective vibe I got from the frog on the beach and the general humor of the dialog.
Nl mentioned he got the feel of animal crossing, but what he didnt know is that both the fish design and the digging spots are taken straight from it

This is such a delightful game. Even though the game heavily discourages it, I actually much prefer it without the pixel filter. I think it looks better when you add more pixels in the options.

Hey NL, I think a great indie game to check out would be Hyper Jam. It's developed by only 3 developers and is a super fun cyberpunk brawler. I don't know how to describe it any better but definitely worth checking out. Loving these videos, keep it up!

NL I’d love to see you check out Anodyne 2: Return to Dust. It’s a fantastic ps1 style indie game that came out last year, and it’s also free on the epic store this weekend. I think it’d fit in with the 30 minute nl tries format. It’s a really good game that deserves a bigger spotlight. Even though it’s a sequel there’s no need to have prior knowledge of the first game.

You should try Hyperlight Drifter! If you played it when it first released, it was kind of hamstrung by poor framerates and bugs. But now... now it's perfect. So perfect. Maybe after you finish Stoneshard?
