Thanks for the video! It was my boyfriends turn to pick a destination and chosed banff. He tried to back out after making me buy all this winter gear because he was afraid to drive in snow -_- This video is perfect ! I will drag him ! Flights booked for Nov 28
@@crystalnegron1563 it is truly the best place ever so great choice on his behalf!! Remember you can always get public transport if driving is nerve racking as well, have the best time 🫶🏻
Thank you! You mentioned many things to do that i haven't heard frome other TH-camrs , such as good ideas for hikes (grotto canyon, fairview lookout) and tips for northern lights. This video worth huge thumbs up 👍. Thanks again!
Do you carry bear spray if going on hikes in the popular areas? Also, how difficult is it to park at Lake Louise in the winter? Thanks for this very helpful video.
@@iamirish4361 100%! It’s all still bear country and hikers have been stalked in popular areas like moraine lake before so always carry it because you never know! Also, parking in winter is usually easier and free, but there’s never a guarantee, especially around busy times x
Hi! I will be at the Fairmont Banff Springs hotel in December for a week. It will be for my birthday week. I would love to see the Northern lights. Do you know if I can see it from the hotel?
Hello! How exciting, happy birthday! If they are strong you may be able to see them from the hotel, but anywhere with less light pollution will be better :)
Ideally no less than 4 days but it truly depends on what you want to see and do! You could stay for weeks (or years in my case) and still not run out of things to see and do :)
Great video, thanks!

We are going to Banff/Canmore on December 10th, and this video was amazing. I love the tips. ❤️
So happy it was helpful! I have a blog post detailing these tips as well if you ever need to revisit it. Have the best trip!!
Are crampons needed for walks/hiking (e.g.: your #3)? Or proper winter boots are enough?
Thanks for this video. There are a lot good options
I agree! Thanks for watching :)
Fantastic video! Thanks for the suggestions.

Thank you! @@caitlinlaurent Sorry another question if I may. Do you know how long is the drive from the hotel to the city of Banff?
@@jkphotography9757 very short! It’s a 20m walk
Awesome! Thanks again! @@caitlinlaurent 🥰
Hi, how long do you recommend to stay in Banff? I am planning to visit near Christmas.

Thank you, could you write the Spa name in the comments, please?
I think you are referring to the Kananaskis Nordic Spa :)
