I moderately use the pedal and not by all arpeggios because it blurs them easily. Without pedal they still sound good. I have a Roland FP90 and I'm contented with the result but whether you need it could depend on the type of the instrument.
There's indeed a huge difference between the quality and in the extent it can imitate the real piano sound, including pedal use. I feel lucky to have this instrument.

I feel like I need to pedal on an electic piano but on the real thing I dont need them at all.

@@berkeskrisztina8091 The issue with most electric piano is that you cant half of light pedal like the real thing. Its either on or off.
