Simple fan here: I read "Natalie Weiss" next to "Waving Through a Window", I immediately click on the video (: OMG I had chills all over my body when she went low on "When you're falling in a forest" 😳
She chaged the key to fit her better. Singing those notes in the original key is either very hard or impossible fit most female singers, that's why unless the key is changed, you'd hear those notes changed.
Yeah...I love the ensemble vocals in this piece, but this group did not nail it. Super out of tune when they came in. I just kept thinking "hold on Natalie!"
Natalie is truly a gifted vocalist! Her musicianship is so elevated that she kept on the right key even after the backing singers started mismatching their harmonies! It was a bit distracting, but Natalie was remarkable!
If I was this talented I would never stop singing lol. I watch all your videos al the time and it helps me so much! Your such a crazy amazing teacher! Lol not to mention you sound like a goddess. Thanks for everything!!!
I've learned to slam on the brake Before I even turn the key Before I make the mistake Before I lead with the worst of me Give them no reason to stare No slipping up if you slip away So I got nothing to share No, I got nothing to say Step out, step out of the sun If you keep getting burned Step out, step out of the sun Because you've learned, because you've learned On the outside, always looking in Will I ever be more than I've always been? 'Cause I'm tap, tap, tapping on the glass I'm waving through a window I try to speak, but nobody can hear So I wait around for an answer to appear While I'm watch, watch, watching people pass I'm waving through a window, oh Can anybody see, is anybody waving back at me? truly depends on vocal range, bc this song would be near impossible for an alto, same way the original would be for a bass baritone. harder for some, easier for others
Girl I love ya, but why the shorts?! 😞The camera started on your torso and I was thinking how beautiful you looked, then it panned down to very short ripped shorts and it threw off the look. Great song though, you are so talented!
@@farrellbaker she did perform great, I said that. I also didn’t say she wasn’t “allowed” to wear shorts, but I don’t think they did her justice or the rest of the outfit.
As a vocal coach I observed many short breaths way too high taken not from diaphragm. I know that this song is not easy and it's fast. I can recommend that every time you have to sing a fast song, to NOT breath so many times because you will NOT have time to take complete breathings and you'll get very agitated inside, stressed and your voice will struggle to achieve beautiful, opened and relaxed sounds. You also need to get in shape for long, healthy and for the most deep breaths that you definately need for these songs. Take care of your beautiful voice!
"You also need to get in shape" can you be any more condescending? lmao, what a WAY to assume everything about her from only three minutes of watching her singing
@@DaneTrotter Being in shape means (in English) being able to make a little physical effort without getting tired too fast. It is important to know that singing can be psysically exhausting especially if you are not exercising at all or after a long break of not singing.

Please do a collab!

I love that you didn't change the low notes on "when you're fallin in a forest" like most female singers do ❤️

I love those low notes! 😍 I kept them but boy they are tough!
Did you listen to Tori Kelly's version?!
She killed it on the low notes.
Those vocal chords are made of steel!
Natalie is so perfect in so many ways
The way she did that so effortlessly i mean like what even anymore-
3:51 , that last "wav - aang!" was so damn powerful, she could have destroyed the mic! lmao. Beautiful song. Her acting is striking her.
She's amazing! The backings were a bit distracting, but she helds the melody so good that it doesn't really matter. 🙂

This is a stellar performance! I love how Natalie makes this seem so effortless. Also can we talk about that sequin blazer??? I think I'm in love 😍
This version of the song made me go back and put the original on my spotify playlist. I never loved it until I heard her sing it!
This woman have a vocal range so powerful!
ok those belts at the end sounded so perfect
I will NEVER not get goosebumps watching Natalie, even during her coaching sessions, such an incredible Talent! 💕

Ahhhhhhh those low notes were AB-SO-LUTELY GORGEOUS! 😮😮😮 Holy ughhhh everything about this was EVERYTHING I want this song to be always 💕
Omg she’s not even wearing an earpiece!! That band must’ve been loud but she sounded amazing and did it so easily

What key is this in?
so can you just give me some lessons please? like i thought i sang this okay and then this happened

Sounds alot harder for a woman to sing it. Seems like it's in a tricky spot in the female voice.
And it’s not in a tricky spot for males? Lol this song is notoriously hard in general
