    Excellent again. Just watched both episodes. Only downside is that drooping leather on the drivers side bolster. I'd be telling VW to sort it out.

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I have done many new generation Golf R and they all had the same issue with leather. It's good quality leather, but somehow the bolstering is sagging a bit. Not a deal breaker, but something me and my viewers noticed.

    Amazing job. If a vehicle is properly maintained, how long until the next full detail? Both interior and exterior. Base it on your weather conditions. Thanks

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What do you mean by "next full detail"? You can clean your car as often as you wish. At the very least, every 2-3 months, you should reapply a top coat like in my ceramic coating maintenance video here: th-cam.com/video/yLiePQRMFc8/w-d-xo.html
      If you meant to ask when you have to reapply the full ceramic coating, it depends on your coating's lifespan. If it's a two year coating, you should think of starting all the preparation et reapplication steps at the 20-22 month mark.

    • @socratespetrakos3593
      @socratespetrakos3593 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pan TheOrganizer Thanks. Yes I meant if you do a full detail it obviously takes time. So I meant how much time btwn maintenance washes and a full detail. You mentioned 2-3 months, so I guess that makes sense. I was thinking 2 times a year, and maintenance washes in between.

  • @sometimes5207
    @sometimes5207 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Great video! 2 questions: what did you use to clean the digital cockpit screen, the same glass cleaner you used on the main infotainment screen? Also, what are your recommendations for cleaning the piano black trim around the whole centre stack as it is so highly sensitive to scratching? Thanks!

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! For infotainment screens, I always spray Invisible Glass on a microfiber towel and then gently wipe.
      For piano black gloss trim, I use a super soft brush like these I reviewed: th-cam.com/video/ciE8Fgu0mqc/w-d-xo.html
      I then apply Bead Maker on a plush microfiber towel (The Rag Company Eagle Edgeless) and pass it over the surface. It helps repel dust and makes cleaning super easy.

      In this video, it's not a fabric cleaner, it's a fabric protectant (CarPro Cquartz Fabric).

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Same way as you would with non-perforated leather. You can spray the cleaner on the seat and brush. If you need to apply a consitioner, simply make sure you apply the conditioner to a microfiber pad (not directly on the seat as that would gunk up the pores!) and work the product into the pad and then spread it on the seat and buff excess with a microfiber towel if needed.

    Would you recommend carpro inside for more dirty plastic Peace's? And would using a brush give better results than just spraying the product on a towel and wiping?

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Clean the trim with an APC before applying dressings. Yes CarPro Inside is a good interior cleaner. You can use CarPro PERL aftrwards diluted 1:5 to dress the plastics.
      I prefer microfiber towels or applicators, but it’s up to you if you want to use a brush.

      For rubber style mats like Weather Tech mats, I usually spray Super Clean (diluted 1:4) and then use a stiff bristle brush and clean them. Dry them off and you can spray Stoner Trim Shine. It leaves a non greasy matte finish, uniform black coverage.

    Hi, what would you recommend doing for when i take the car for sporting activities. For example sweat smells and stains on leather seats. Would this coating on your video help wipe that off? If so what should i use to wipe the seats regularly? And final question, once nano coating has been applied how long should i avoid sitting on the seats for or can i sit straight after its applied? Thanks

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Ahsan. A ceramic coating for leather will help seal the surface and make cleaning much easier for sure, especially wet spills or sweat.
      Depending on which leather coating you choose, follow the instructions on the label as curing time might differ. For CarPro Leather for example, you can sit on the surface after 10 minutes as it becomes dry to the touch.

      Don't use APC or degreasers to clean leather seats. APC are high pH, while leather is actually a slightly acidic pH at 4.5-5.5. Use dedicated leather cleaners on leather seats, if you want to keep them in good condition.

      Protecting leather with a coating is great as is prevents body oils from sticking to the seat, prevents dye transfer from pants (jeans) and have UV protection.

    I've tried several interior cleaners and struggle with one thing, if someone has had sunscreen on their arms and they rest their arm on the door panel, the sunscreen transfers to the door panel and I can't seem to find anything that will remove it. Any ideas?

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You would need to start with a heavier interior cleaner first, before applying an interior dressing/protectant. For interiors, you can use an APC like these:
      For leather and upholstery: bit.ly/3wkkjOK
      For all other interior hard surfaces (plastics): bit.ly/3T2WSTL
      Follow the dilution recommendations on the label according to your level of dirt and type of surface.
      Also, a good gentle scrub pad really helps, like this: bit.ly/3A4A656
      That always works for sunscreen stains.
