I'm an artist who usually specializes in vocals, i go by Lil Guat. I got into the stutter house genre around this past october and have always been wondering how to create that awesome stutter effect. I have your song "Need U" in my stutter house playlist without even realizing it was you. Your video helped me out so much more especially since you have truly specialized and made music in the stutter house genre. Keep up the amazing work man, and never stop blessing our ears!!!
I really like the new format on these tutorials! It feels really smooth and solid, and I also think that adding in some arrows to showing off certain steps was a great idea! :D
I haven't produced in years, your packs are going to get me back into the game, Ableton, check, Serum, check....Moonboy packs next on the list...good stuff, keep up the great work
It’s funny how people think like there was nothing before them . And they’re generation created everything. This effect is called gate, and it’s actually made for removing noise. This can be heard on million trance records in the 90s, Papua New Guinea from FSOL came out in 1991 that utilizes this effect
hey dude i dunno why i've been so silent in your community, i really vibe with you as a dude and fellow producer... time to come out of my shell a bit and share some tunes, knowledge, advice, techniques, ideas, creativity, so on and so forth... keen for this comp, it's gonna be fun! :D - kiss the moon
Nice tutorial! 🫶 I’m going to age myself and share in the early 2000’s we had to run the audio through an Alesis or dBX compressor and use a drum machine or similar into the sidechain and program a pattern to give us the ducking sidechain effect. Software is obviously easier but also way more creative and flexible. Awesome to see how you’ve grown your studio.
I came across your Insta post about how to make stutter. Today i looked up this video and man you are awesome!! i learned so much in a few hours! thanks you so much. I tried to build the same sound, and got pretty far! until the last part of the video where you show the whole song! such an amazing sound you have added extra to it! really no words at the moment! thanks again!
amazing video thank you! One question, when I put the first lfo on the level. I have the level all the way to the left and then raise the blue lfo all the way to the right like you showed but I am not getting any sound. Any idea what could be happening?
Dude, love the content, i should be working right now but this video caught my attention and i watched the entire thing. Love the tutorial. Producers have a special place in my heart. When i go out the DJ make or breaks my vibe. Really enjoyed that video.
I really need to have answer of my question. For example we have straight vocal on pattern but we want to add stutter effect middle of the vocal. How do we do this without adding that effect on all of the vocal?
Really appreciate the input and breaking things down in way that’s comprehensible . I feel like I can manipulate vocals and have some options rather than just deep search a Capella . When you showed the Ableton I rolled my eyes . But you showed the serum fx and I was like yay I’ve got that whoop whoop nice tip
I didn’t know SerumFX existed. That’s a total game changer lol! I just gotta get better at music theory. I know the basics, but man you make it look easy when you come up with these chord progressions.
Thank you MOONBOY for such a cool lesson 🤩, I just saw this video today, can I somehow download your sample pack and try to do it for myself, not for the contest? The download link on the site does not work :(

A deeper, technical way of controlling what is essentially a trance gate effect. Great video dude!
Stutter house scratches a part of my brain that i never knew i needed! I'm so addicted!
I haven't produced in years, your packs are going to get me back into the game, Ableton, check, Serum, check....Moonboy packs next on the list...good stuff, keep up the great work
I love your style of tutorial so kind and helpful but informative and practical.

😂😂
I think we all know it comes from trance, he's got videos on trance gate stuff right?
Trance is my fav genre of all time 🔥
Again BT.
💀 hoes mad
I find using a noise gate side chained to another rhythmic element gives a more authentic feel where the stutter is less robotic
