RainX my friend.🌦One of the greatest practical inventions ever made. I use the orange RainX washer fluid with my vehicles. They also make it in spray bottles for larger and longer lasting applications. Gotta have wipers, but they don’t clear a windshield like this stuff. Once you use this stuff, there ain’t no going back. Great video!💙Time lapses are cool.😎
I used to put the rain-x stuff on all of my windshields but stopped because I'm lazy and I got sick of the haze I would sometimes see at night. I love their washer fluid though! The dealership topped off all of the fluids before I left, but as soon as the washer fluid reservoir gets low I'll be putting rain-x fluid in there. I still don't want to drive with only one functioning wiper though!
Five2Go, love your honesty. The fluid is way more convenient, I totally agree. Wipers are a must for sure. Otherwise it’s a blue light special and we ain’t talking K-Mart. Y’all will love the convenience of having a motor-coach, even with all their “cons”. The pros outweigh them in my opinion. Looking forward to more videos.😁

I have 2016 34T Bounder that I have owned since 2016. I have lost that right side wiper every year on one of our trips, we usually take 2 a year and I replace wipers every year in the spring. The wiper listed in the catalogs for our year wiper are always too narrow to fit the hook. This wiper fits the hooks, WT8-32. I use a small zip tie around the hook and wiper to secure into position and haven't lost that right wiper since.
Mine was actually the driver's side wiper, but when I pulled over the first time I moved the working one to the drivers side just in case it rained on me before I found a replacement. What's up with those falling off so much though?! For this one, the little plastic clip that slides onto the arm broke. It felt like it was super brittle from being exposed to the elements. A zip tie isn't a bad idea at all!
Nice travel video. Thanks for sharing. Have never been to a Buckey's before. Have only driven from Maine to Florida. Haven't come a crossed one yet. Hope your family loves the new rig!

You are so lucky with gas being so cheap. Last year we pulled into a Pilot and it took 115 gallons of diesel fuel at $3.05 a gallon to fill up. 😭 Glad you got a new wiper blade. Have a safe trip back to Colorado.
The cheap gas is phenomenal for this right now! I don't miss paying extra for diesel in our last truck either. I remember diesel used to get cheaper over the summer but that hasn't happened recently...
@@Five2Go Diesel is currently $2.49 here. That is the cheapest I have seen it locally. Friends of ours retired to Alabama. He sent me a picture of him filling up his truck with diesel for $1.89 a gallon
I have a class A on the Ford chassis and I just buy a 28" wiper. You only loose an 1" or so off each end, not a problem. I was able to use a regular wiper. You will also want to get the 5 star tuning for the engine & transmission.
The wiper arms on this coach are about twice as wide as on regular vehicles so none of the wipers at Walmart fit. I was fine putting a shorter one on so I could keep driving, but that wasn't an option...
Safe travels to you. I know Erin & the kids are anxious for you to get home. We're in Texas and hope to be on the road FT as newbie RVers some time next year. (We have older kids so have to wait for the last of them to leave the nest) Hopefully we'll find a good used Fleetwood as well. Take care!
You passed right by me by about 8 miles. I know this was filmed before we saw it but I would have met you on I-20 with homemade lasagna or beef enchiladas to go! Keep on trucking and get home to that family which I am sure you are already there! 😃
So addressing the windshield wiper issues. Have you ever used RainX on any of your RV windshields? I use it on my car but I dislike that it leaves a film which can cause a glare at night. Love your format and love your new Bounder.
This is my first RV with a windshield 😜 I've used rain-x on cars before but stopped because it's a hassle sometimes. I do like their washer fluid though.
Glad you were able to get a new wiper! Easy checkpoint! Just a little info, if you ever go thru Tulsa Oklahoma their Camping World also allows you to stay overnight with electrical and water! I think they may also have a dump station!
Wow, I have toured some Abandoned Bounders before, they have been around a while. When I tour them, the quality was still evident in the day. Buckee's? Pass. Welcome to Texas..that is where we live. We have some videos you would like come check us out.
So far we haven't found anything in there that was just slapped together or held with a few staples. The build quality definitely seems to be way above the price point.

Cool video Brian!! Sorry you had such bad luck with your wiper blade. I saw where you were on your phone by the gas pump. 😉 I'm glad you were safe and got home good!!! R u making a video of your kids and Erin coming out to the RV and your last end of your trip?
I would like to hear how your rig will handle after Raton up and down hill. We are planing to buy gas class a rv concern about noise and mountain driving. If you could talk about it we really appreciate. We enjoy your Chanel. Thanks
Covering tornado's is among the top 3 reasons I had to get out of the news business. Rolling up on a flattened neighborhood at 2 am in a satellite truck while people are just trying to make sure noone is hurt is a hard thing to do.
The rig is stock as far as I can tell. Next time I have it out on the road I'll try to record how it behaves. On smooth roads with only a little wind it's just fine, and not really very loud. Once the crosswinds started I was definitely "TV driving" - constantly adjusting the wheel to stay straight. As for noise, there were some squeaks and jitters that I was able to eliminate by moving things around or applying some strategic pieces of painters tape. The engine was only loud under acceleration or going uphill.
is that bounder Diesel? Can you disclose the approximate price u paid and if you had a trade or not? Do you know who makes the current Fleetwood line of RV’s?Thank you.
It's a Ford V10 gasser. Fleetwood does make some diesel models but the Bounders aren't one of them. General in Ocala had it listed for $80k with just under 10k miles and we did not have a trade in. I believe Fleetwood is a part of the REV Group of manufacturers.
Bucc'ees is like my favorite place xD. The closest one to me in way south texas is still about 2.5 hours north of me is in between san marcos and austin.
That's better than us! The closest one to us right now is probably the one I went to north of Dallas, so about 600 miles 🤣🤣🤣 Maybe there's one straight south near El Paso... Regardless, we're not close!
@@Five2Go I just looked up all the locations of buccees in texas because it made me curios. I swore there were more but yeah probably the one in madisonville or melissa north of ft. Worth/dallas area. There really none west of San Antonio. 🤷🏼♀️
This engine and transmission runs comfortably right around 68 or so. It doesn't struggle at all, it just rolls along nicely and quietly. I've been getting about 8mpg on the highway.
Glad you found a wiper for your RV, is it a 32 or 28 inch wiper? If it is 28 then you may find it in costco , 32 inches will be amazon , I think ours was Trico brand name for $ 25 each. Trico has several models some are traditional and some has beam design, at this point you may just purchase one to match what you purchased from camping world.
The largest Walmart had was 28 and it wasn't even close, so I think it was at *least* 32 inches. I'm going to look online for a spare or two to carry along, and I'll definitely check Costco next time we're over there. Thanks for the tip!
@@Five2Go This is Trico website, you can check the fitment by choosing your RV model (www.tricoproducts.com/find-wipers-trico?find=rv-class-fleetwood-2016-bounder-1113320)
@@rejeanpaquet4375 yes , it seems like that, camping world is an option or amazon for roughly $25. Or if he is not in rush, he can get them at the amazon warehouse clearance website for $14 each.
I don't do Bucky's because I have a DP and use truck pumps. Besides with my discount card I save 50+ cents a gallon. I know that Laurel, MS area got hit with a tornado. That may have been where you encountered the damage. You can overnight at almost all rest areas in Texas.
We know we cannot depend on cell service, depending on where we are currently in the United States or Canada, cell service does not exist. I highly urge everyone to look in to FRS/GMRS two-way radios. FRS is the low power, no license required radio service, GMRS is the high power license required radio service. With GMRS you are able to use 50 watts, and have access to a Nationwide repeater system. 462.612 channel 3 is designated as a emergency frequency.. With GMRS radios haveing 50 watts out put and with the ability to connect with repeaters Nationwide. You have a greater ability to get help when your cell phone's not working. In the US, GMRS license cost $70.00 for 10 years and is good for your whole family. This is a good communication system for the RV community and a great way to talk to other rvers as we're going through a country.
The one that broke was on the driver's side. I stopped, took it off, then moved the passenger one to the driver side just in case I needed it between where I stopped and the store. Then when I got a new one I switched the old one back to the passenger side. While moving that one around I made sure to inspect and mess with the old wiper bracket a bit to see if it was brittle. It appeared fine so I just went with the one new wiper. The weather the next day was completely clear too so I just needed to get a couple more hours up the road in the rain that evening. Now that I'm home and can take some time looking around, I'll get a spare set online for cheaper and toss them in the basement.
Haha! Trust me, I tried to squeeze it in there but I couldn't figure out a way to make it work. If it had been something less critical I would've put a band-aid on it until I got home, but it's kind of important to see out the windshield! 😂
The next time you have a wiper do that just pull your wiper arm out and you can use the other blade and in addition float in the air won't scrtch your window
We traditionally just refer to RV's as "homebus" because that's what Terra called them when she was really young. Ambulances were "doctor buses", and so on. I think we could come up with a name though. This one feels like it should have a name... 😍
Read that you have a mask and that your washing hands regularly, go you! Safety always first. So gotta ask, how difficult is driving that ginormous land yacht compared to the truck? Looking forward to seeing your wife’s reaction to her new toy. 😄
I wouldn't call it difficult, it's just different. The wind was more noticeable but never overwhelming or scary. One thing is for sure, it's a heck of a lot easier to maneuver than the 63 feet of truck and trailer! I was going around parking lots and small corners that I would have avoided with the trailer, and getting into the driveway took 3 minutes instead of 15! The extra ground clearance really helps there.
I’m surprised your not wearing a mask or gloves. 😢😷 We’re stuck here in a campground and I see you refueling and not taking precautions. Please be safe, you have a wife and a family. This pandemic is real, and you could be a carrier.
I wore a mask every time I went inside somewhere and washed my hands after every refueling or other interaction with the outside. I think gloves give people a false sense of safety and they touch a bunch of crap with them on, then take them off and don't wash their hands and touch the same surfaces again, so I stick with hand washing.
@@Five2Go I wear gloves & mask & STILL wash hands ip to about 4" above my wrists every time. Have too much infection control training so am extra careful with this terrible bug.😷
Brain, Camping World total rip-off. I’m sure you know that. Try NAPA or Truck Stop next time. Thanks for taking us along n your trip home. Love Buc-ee’s.
I thought about truck stops but I was running out of time and just went with where I knew. We actually don't mind shopping there for accessories - we often see things for less than online. I'd never buy an RV there though.
The best I got out of the Bounder was about 6.5mpg. That was when I was very consciously maintaining about 60mph, took it easy going up hills, and didn't accelerate very hard from a standstill
The bottom bracket looks like it has been dislodged and repaired before. Whoever did it last time thought that screws would hold in expanding foam! I'm going to clean it all out and get a solid piece of wood secured down there for the bracket screws to grab into and then it should hold really well.
It was just me and it really wasn't extreme. There was NO traffic and I got an early start so it wasn't bad at all. I stopped for the night long before I was tired and made sure to stop and walk around a bit every couple hours so I stayed fresh.
Texas has troopers on all of the entry points from Louisiana. If you've spent any amount of time in LA they require you to fill out a form with your information and destination and self-quarantine for 14 days. They can check on you during that time and if you're not there you can get fined. It's kinda nuts.
Five2Go no it's not nuts at all. In Singapore, the Immigration and Checkpoint authorities will randomly call you or text you. And you need to take a picture of your surroundings and upload on ICA website if you are served the 14 day Stay At Home Notice when you enter the country.

Thanks Diana! We're going to go out for a weekend as soon as some campgrounds open back up and we'll do a video about where the kids will sleep and all that. Right now we think the girls will be on the loft and Ben will be on either the couch or dinette converted to a bed. Probably the couch because it's easier to pull out and it's more comfortable.

11:00 Ouch, $40? Next time you might want to call a few truck stops first, they might have it for a lot less than that. If nothing else, you'd find a trucker there and ask them where they get them from.
I thought about truck stops while I was driving but I was running out of time and didn't want to lose so much drive time so I just went where I knew they'd have them in stock. I'm going to grab a couple online for way cheaper to keep on hand.
camping world is a rip off!.. wipers , lights, mirrors, and lots more can be found at a local school bus garage(in a emergency) believe it or not! your class A has the same chassis as lots of buses. every county in the US has a bus garage and most of the time they will help you on the small stuff. they will even do OBD diagnostic. trust me i know i have been working in one for 21 years and we always help stranded class A's. have did it many times.

They're filtering all traffic coming in from Louisiana. If you've spent any time in LA and are stopping in TX they require you to fill out a form about your destination and tell you to self-quarantine for 14 days. If they come looking for you and you're not where you say you'll be, they can fine you.
I don't either. If you look closely you'll see washer fluid coming out. The nozzles are on the wiper arms on motorhomes, it doesn't spray up from below so it's a lot harder to see, especially on video.
To be completely honest, the footage I'm editing from my GoPro sounds way louder than it actually is in the cab. The mic on that thing picks up background noise pretty loudly. I left some lower-speed road noise in the next episode though because I was talking to the camera as I rolled into our neighborhood. Once we're able to get out and camp somewhere I'm going to do a "how does it drive?" video and will capture cab noise with my better camera/mic. Thanks for watching!
The smaller one I got at walmart didn't fit! Not only was it several inches shorter, it was also about half as wide and wouldn't fit on the wiper arm at all. I had to get an RV-specific one.
We'd never buy an RV from them but they're a decent place for accessories. We've actually found some stuff cheaper in their stores than online a few times.
We pay over 100+ thousand dollars . And still rv totally screwd up. Rv manufactures boo boo. You don't deserve 100+ thousand dollar for a bad rv . Boo boo rv manufacture
That's a bit of an overreaction (plus we didn't pay anywhere near that much). Fleetwood didn't make the wiper blade, it's a wear item just like tires. There are always going to be little things that break or work themselves loose because of how much things can move when going down the road, it's just how RVs are. If big things were breaking or major parts falling apart that really shouldn't be, then it's the manufacturer.
Because of a wiper blade? If anything, it's my fault for not catching it before leaving the dealership. In fact, I ran the wipers while it was stationary at the dealer and they were fine, it was only when getting hit by highway wind speeds that the plastic bracket broke. If it had broken at the dealer they would've replaced it without a second thought. Wiper blades are a wear item anyway and would need to be replaced eventually. Who knows how long that one sat in the Florida sun, baking and making the plastic brittle. This has nothing to do with Matt or General.
Sorry Josephine! We know livestreams aren't for everyone and they're a little disjointed if you're watching them after the fact. They're not going to replace our regular episodes, so no worries there!

I second the 5-star tuning. After I ran it, it was as if I'd replaced my engine with a bigger, better one. So weird - in a good way. :)
Take care!
Thank you so much Angie! So far we're really impressed with the quality of the Fleetwoods for the price 👍👍
You passed right by me by about 8 miles. I know this was filmed before we saw it but I would have met you on I-20 with homemade lasagna or beef enchiladas to go! Keep on trucking and get home to that family which I am sure you are already there! 😃
Oh man, that would've been awesome! 👍😁👍
Stop at Walmart again and get the orange RainX windshield washer fluid. Bugs won't stick, and rain sheds off.
We use rain-x washer fluid in all our vehicles, I've got some ready to go as soon as that tank gets low!
That's great to know, thank you! The CW in Buffalo was a great stop.
That store is new!
Buc ees is a destination!
Yeah it is! 😂
Sorry about the wipers - I hope the rest of your trip is issue free. Safe travels!
Thanks! Nothing else important broke thankfully.
What? Didn't know Bucees was in Alabama either. I thought it was a Texas thing. But we d o love them!!!
I was so thrilled when I saw that the first one on my route was only 20 miles from the campground I stopped at! 😂
@@Five2Go I have toured many abandoned trailers, Love the Bounder. Quality is King. I want to invite you to our Sunday Funday Live stream tomorrow 2pm central...we like to have fun....love to have you
BE SAFE !!!
New subscriber....really enjoy your videos. Beautiful motorhome.
Thank you so much Cynthia!
Cool video Brian!! Sorry you had such bad luck with your wiper blade. I saw where you were on your phone by the gas pump. 😉 I'm glad you were safe and got home good!!! R u making a video of your kids and Erin coming out to the RV and your last end of your trip?
We were both recording as I came up the street to the house - you'll see it in the next episode! 😍
I would like to hear how your rig will handle after Raton up and down hill.
We are planing to buy gas class a rv concern about noise and mountain driving.
If you could talk about it we really appreciate. We enjoy your Chanel. Thanks
That pass north of Raton is in the next episode, but I had no issues with it at all. It's obviously not a diesel, but it went up and over just fine.
Covering tornado's is among the top 3 reasons I had to get out of the news business. Rolling up on a flattened neighborhood at 2 am in a satellite truck while people are just trying to make sure noone is hurt is a hard thing to do.
Welcome to Texas.👍🏻🇨🇱
Thanks Laura! We spent a lot of time in Texas a couple years ago and enjoyed it - especially the food!
Truck stops with service Bay's should have those Heavy duty wiper blades.
Thanks Paul! I thought about truck stops after the fact but went with what I knew because of the time crunch.
Can you provide some comments about road noise and drift and even a video. Curious if your rig already had sumo and steering stabilizer on it.
Drive careful. Get home safe to your family. Iam sure they can’t wait to see their new home!
I got home in 55 hours (last Saturday evening) so the videos are a bit behind, but thank you!
is that bounder Diesel? Can you disclose the approximate price u paid and if you had a trade or not? Do you know who makes the current Fleetwood line of RV’s?Thank you.
It's a Ford V10 gasser. Fleetwood does make some diesel models but the Bounders aren't one of them. General in Ocala had it listed for $80k with just under 10k miles and we did not have a trade in. I believe Fleetwood is a part of the REV Group of manufacturers.
Five2Go great thank you. Nice jacket 😀Grand Design. My favorite !
There's also 1 N of Austin.
Is your RV gas or diesel? What is the mpg?
Enjoy following your travels
It's a gas coach. I haven't calculated the mileage yet but I think it's around 8mpg.
Thank you. From the other side of the pond, that's quite low, but your gas prices are so much cheaper. Stay safe
Are the RV wipers actually truck sized wipers? Might be a better selection and better prices than a RV store.
MPG? And at what speed? I read several years ago that driving over 65 really cripples your mileage.

The camping world in Louisiana has them for 40, with the Good Sam 10% off! Boo!
Oh man, give Buc-ees a shot! Just swing by for some food, you won't be disappointed 🤣
For the door to the bedroom, maybe just drop a couch cushion or pillow on the floor there.
That would absolutely work, great idea!
I hope you bought 2 wipers just in case ?
That may be the first Buccees outside of Texas.
We all need Buc-ees everywhere! 🤣
It is the first one out of Texas! Love having a Bucees in our county!
Steve said, "For $40 I would have found a way to make the small wiper work." Which means you are smarter than he is. 😂 Always an adventure!
Haha! Trust me, I tried to squeeze it in there but I couldn't figure out a way to make it work. If it had been something less critical I would've put a band-aid on it until I got home, but it's kind of important to see out the windshield! 😂
@@Five2Go 🤣 I'm glad you made sure you could see. It is critical! Haha!
The next time you have a wiper do that just pull your wiper arm out and you can use the other blade and in addition float in the air won't scrtch your window
Good tip! I feel like some of those rough roads might have snapped it back down though. Luckily I got a replacement before it started raining.
Pipe insulators for covering the wipers when you parked to protect from the sun.
Good tip!
I have seen some rigs where they used pool noodles to cover the wipers when not traveling.
Enjoyed going on the return trip with you
Are you going to give your RV a name
Five2Go well that surprises me, figured that big thing would be more awkward than that. Very good news!
I’m surprised your not wearing a mask or gloves. 😢😷
We’re stuck here in a campground and I see you refueling and not taking precautions.
@@Five2Go I agree with the gloves.👍🏽 Just immediately wash your hands after touching.
@@Five2Go I heard so many bad stories about RVs purchased at Camping World (financing, warranty, customer service, sale tactics, etc)
What kind of gas mileage did you get. We have a 2000 Fleetwood southwind 35s with the triton v10. Our first trip we averaged about 5mpg
The best I got out of the Bounder was about 6.5mpg. That was when I was very consciously maintaining about 60mph, took it easy going up hills, and didn't accelerate very hard from a standstill

Thanks Scott!
Most of those items, like wiper blades, can be bought at a HD truck store for half as much.
Found you through Matt's RV and I can see you offer the experiential perspective. Does your new rig have cruise control? Thanks...
It does and it works great! It certainly made some of these long stretches more bearable 😀
@@Five2Go Yeah that's a necessity for my knees. Thanks...
Use Velcro straps to secure the doors
The bottom bracket looks like it has been dislodged and repaired before. Whoever did it last time thought that screws would hold in expanding foam! I'm going to clean it all out and get a solid piece of wood secured down there for the bracket screws to grab into and then it should hold really well.
Where's the Matt's RV Reviews sticker on the back of the rig?
It'll go up somewhere, but we don't tend to put much on the outside other than our own Five2Go stuff. We'll show it off once we find a place for it!
700 miles in one day seems extreme! How many drivers do you have with you?
It was just me and it really wasn't extreme. There was NO traffic and I got an early start so it wasn't bad at all. I stopped for the night long before I was tired and made sure to stop and walk around a bit every couple hours so I stayed fresh.
Just curious..what were they screening for?
Texas has troopers on all of the entry points from Louisiana. If you've spent any amount of time in LA they require you to fill out a form with your information and destination and self-quarantine for 14 days. They can check on you during that time and if you're not there you can get fined. It's kinda nuts.
Five2Go no it's not nuts at all. In Singapore, the Immigration and Checkpoint authorities will randomly call you or text you. And you need to take a picture of your surroundings and upload on ICA website if you are served the 14 day Stay At Home Notice when you enter the country.
botaqhead; he is not crossing a border or entering a new country. He is crossing state lines and the check points are illegal unless they fall under The Patriot Act, Homeland Security, within 20 miles of the US boarder rules. We have one in Dallas I love buck be safe going home love your rev where will your son sleep
Now that you know the wiper size you should buy a few online cheaper and keep them on hand just in case.
That's exactly what I'm going to do!
Great video. Heads up. I am cognizant of watching your ads. Three minutes in your video your first ad was over 4 minutes long. The 2nd was 15 seconds. Then it didn't go right into the video. I had to click to restart. This is wrong!! Did anyone encounter this?

11:00 Ouch, $40? Next time you might want to call a few truck stops first, they might have it for a lot less than that. If nothing else, you'd find a trucker there and ask them where they get them from.
I thought about truck stops while I was driving but I was running out of time and didn't want to lose so much drive time so I just went where I knew they'd have them in stock. I'm going to grab a couple online for way cheaper to keep on hand.
Ouch new wipers might be something you want in your emergency kit
I'll be grabbing some spares online now that I'm home!
camping world is a rip off!.. wipers , lights, mirrors, and lots more can be found at a local school bus garage(in a emergency) believe it or not! your class A has the same chassis as lots of buses. every county in the US has a bus garage and most of the time they will help you on the small stuff. they will even do OBD diagnostic. trust me i know i have been working in one for 21 years and we always help stranded class A's. have did it many times.

Yeah, and apparently they have the same wipers for less at other locations and online. So annoying!
Charges arms & legs for everything. Would never buy a rig from them. Pay for employees not good.
What is the reason for the check points?
They're filtering all traffic coming in from Louisiana. If you've spent any time in LA and are stopping in TX they require you to fill out a form about your destination and tell you to self-quarantine for 14 days. If they come looking for you and you're not where you say you'll be, they can fine you.
@@Five2Go Wow. Glad I'm in Minnesota and with no plans to leave. Are they doing this anywhere else?
I think Florida is doing it with inbound traffic too. I doubt it's very effective though.
Wow. I hadn't heard about anything like this happening.
I don’t run my wipers on a dry windshield.
I don't either. If you look closely you'll see washer fluid coming out. The nozzles are on the wiper arms on motorhomes, it doesn't spray up from below so it's a lot harder to see, especially on video.
It would be nice to actually hear you driving to get an idea of the nooice level and handling.
Yea but if the other old wiper goes and you are in a storm you will scratch your W S .

campers world is the biggest rip off rv center in the usa.
Buyer beware if you buy from Matt.
Did not like your live stream at all. Hard to follow. Sorry.
