You can’t really beat people up for not singing like Dio. I saw him live back in the 80s and the guy was about 5’3” tall but all lungs. He also had some serious musical training.
Yeah but that's the thing. Dio didn't do Slipknot screams that damaged his vocal chords and Dio also didn't have to tour as much as Corey does. At this point I truly believe Corey needs a voice rest.

Corey has got some pipes on him but I think Michael is better on a technical level and has better control when belting. The vibrato and high notes he hits here are incredible. It's still f***ing amazing seeing Corey get up there and do his thing with these guys. All legends in their own right!

I try to sing Rainbow in the Dark sometimes. It takes everything out of me. Dio sang 5 songs like that in a row with ease. He was one of a kind.
