  • How did God create evil if He cannot exist with it in the first place? Furthermore, how can a good God allow evil things to happen on this earth without intervening? These are questions that evolutionists use to dissuade against the Christian faith. Calvin Smith has some answers to these questions that you might not expect. "The wages of sin is death." Therefore, when death, suffering, and tragedy comes upon the Earth and its creatures, including people, it is NOT because God is punishing us, but, rather, because the sin that we loosed into the world, is paying its wages. God is the answer to the dilemma, not the accuser/punisher... "God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but, (rather) that the world might be saved (from sin and its wages) through Him."

    • @ikemiracle4841
      @ikemiracle4841 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

Atheism is not defined as disbelief in Zeus, Helios or any other god. Atheism is the belief that there is nothing like anything called God. In other words; there's nothing purposeful or there's nothing with true meaning. A literal atheist will admit that everything about existence and reality up until this point was all based on chance from the very start of the universe to this point, despite the insane odds against that ever being the case, they still push that idea on. And trust me allot of papers done on evolution are seriously based on speculation, not actual science. You can't really be an actual atheist without 'belief' in evolution.
I don't have the capacity to convince anyone to believe in Christianity but you should understand that the existence of God is independent of any religion.

In New Zealand at the last census 48.2% of the population declared they had no religion at all. In a survey conducted in prisons in New Zealand less than one per cent of the inmates declared they had no religion at all. So atheists it seems have a much higher moral code than believers.
Morality and empathy are evolved traits that helped us work together cooperatively in groups to enhance our survival as a species. This is common in not only humans but in most mammals. A doe will put her own life at risk to protect her fawn. There are numerous cases of dogs putting their own life in danger to protect their owner.
The morality of killing another human is neither right nor wrong. Most people would never consider harming another person, let alone killing them. But if their country is attacked most people would have no worries about taking to arms to fight, and if necessary kill, the invaders.

Our human moral values are quite well explainable through secular means, in fact I personally find that explanation much more plausible, less problematic and befitting the world much better than any of the theological ones.
But the existence of evil in itself doesn't disprove the possible existence of God, there are a wide variety of explanations that could relay this. For instance a God that simply doesn't care, is incapable of intervening, has moved on, has a greater plan that transcends our understanding, God delights in our suffering, and so on.
What it does do, is create a bit of a problem for the religious claims of having a all powerful, all loving/caring/good and all knowing God. Because this means every single ounce of suffering could have been avoided. In fact every single thing that has happened in the entire history and future of existence, is by God's plan/design.
So you cannot claim that "God want's nothing more than...", "God hopes for...", "God is disappointed in...", "God wishes...", etc. Because due to the traits and abilities you've claimed God has, all of these things become impossible, because with that set of abilities, everything God wants..IS.
There is nothing that can happen without God willing it to happen, which eventually also removes any notion of free will and basically any meaning to existence...

Only in a limitless earth would non-death exist. It's a reach to say that all living things were created to be vegan. Abel, among the first born of Adam, presented an offering of lamb before God...and that was considered a gift rather than a sin offering! After all, Christ distinguishes even those who physically passed away as "living"...so continuity after physically passing away may have been part of the original design as well! Death, on the other hand, is more to be understood as eternal separation from God and rest.

Theodicy is not a hard question for me.
No step of creation prior to now was the final form of reality.
They were never meant to be.
We know from what Jesus said, there will be no marriage in Heaven. They will be like the children of God.
That means the marriage of Adam and Eve was only a mechanism, and the first of many temporary phases.
The antedeluvian and postdelivian world, the promise to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the captivity, the wandering, the Judges and the kings and the dispersion, the work of Jesus, the church age, the coming Tribulation and Millennium and final battle with Gog and Magog, at least 1007 years from now, all these are steps and phases.
These are handprints in the forming clay.
The final pot, a vessel for holy use, will be after that.
God is currently distilling out all the evil that can exist, and when He has concentrated it in one place, then He will destroy it forever.
Finally, in our glorified bodies, we will be members of God's creation, the final product He designed at the first and spent thousands of years forming.
We will be appropriate images of God.
The entire universe will be populated with creatures, complete and whole.
The highest creatures will be us, the ones that are capable of sinning and creating evil, but actively choose, every time, not to.
The next highest, angels, tje same.
After that, maybe animals, incapable even of sinning, unable to defy the will of God.
Over all the creatures of course, the uncreated Creator.

Only fools say in their heart, there is no God. Though I do find it fascinating that God himself hides the greater, more encapsulating, higher truths from the wise & prudent, & reveals them to babes (the simple of heart). Giving understanding & grace to the simple to confound the wise--the so called intelligentsias of today.
On the subject of morality itself, particularly the question of why evil (suffering in the world) exists if God is. God himself forbade Adam, prior to his fall, from eating of the fruits of a particular tree--the tree of the knowledge of good & evil, though God didn't technically remove eating it as an option--He gave free will. Adam ate it anyhow, committing high treason.
I find it funny, in an ironic sense, that the most puzzling question the world has on morality itself stems from the one tree God forbade Adam eating from.
The fruits produced by that tree has been grafted to the very genetic makeup of the first Adam, & by reason of his transgression, every human born after him essentially became heirs of his transgression. There is simply no escaping God.

God created an archangel called Lucifer who reblled against God and wanted to be like God and so he was cast out of heaven with 1/3 of the angels in heaven who also were also part of the conspiracy and then Lucifer became satan. Thats why people have struggles with God because they believe He created evil. No he didnt.

"How you have fallen from heaven,

You have been cast down to the earth,
you who once laid low the nations!

Iniquity existed before humans were created, so that the intent to do harm was a result of God creating the angelic host. God allowed Himself to be extorted with humans in the middle,
to both send His Son to be the ransom for that extortion, and to prove His Love to His creation. God knew all in advance of it happening, and had the fail safe prepared for the contingency.

That question is, " when did God first come to the realisation he? is a God" and then conjure up all the elements required to create, what! out of his rectum.
More so, Jesus knew there was/is no God. Jesus come to the realisation there is no God because Jesus said , " I and the Father are one", and then God believers nailed him to a cross for that.

Adaptation is designed into us. Any good creator would build into His creation the ability to adapt to changing environments. Adaptation works by natural selection of beneficial characteristics from the existing gene pool. If it doesn't exist in the gene pool it can't be selected. Evolution is imaginary. Evolution is people looking at what is and presuming one creature turning, or evolving into another. Not observing it, imagining it. Evolutionists believe that if finches beaks can adapt to available diet and if covid can adapt to our isolating it means that dinosaurs can grow feathers and fly or that apes/monkeys can design, build and fly aircraft, or write original novels. But they are wrong, they can't, unless the ability is already designed into the gene pool waiting to be selected when it becomes beneficial. What sort of intelligent designer could know which qualities would become beneficial in the future and design them into the original prototype? Only God.

Here, you're saying that God's creation created God, which is irrational. God is the uncreated Creator of man. That's to Whom Christians are referring by the word "God": the uncreated Creator of man. So, when you say that God was created, you are contradicting a tautology (which is always irrational to do); by saying God was created, you are contradicting the truth that the uncreated Creator is uncreated. To contradict truth is always to affirm falsehood, so, by affirming that God was created, you are affirming a falsehood.

Why would you look to Richard Dawkins - a man you vehemently disagree with - on the compatibility of evolution and Christian belief, rather than getting quotes from some of the millions of Christians who have no problem believing in evolution. When you have to turn to Richard Dawkins to support your belief, there’s a very good chance your belief is wrong.

@timmos184 says: *How do you pick which God to believe in? That alone should be enough to see all religions for what they are, no more real than santa claus.*
It was God himself that convinced me that he was the God of the bible after my relationship was established with him after I believed (trusted) the gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) because I didn't believe in the God of the bible when I first believed (trusted) the gospel (1 Corinthains 15:1-4) because I didn't believe in the existence of Adam, Eve, or creation as stated in the bible.
I believed in the existence of a creator in general that used the big bang to form the universe and then used evolution to mold and shape all life to how it is today to be the father of Jesus and that version of God was definitely NOT the father of Jesus, but I got saved anyway despite believing such a thing.
After my relationship was established with God, he corrected me in regards to what I believed to be wrong about who he really was when I believed in the existence of a creator in general.
I really don't think it matters what god you believe in because it's all about Jesus dying for our sins and his resurrection that saves us and establishes our relationship with God.
Once one's relationship is established with God through believing (trusting) the gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) he will correct you so that you will know who he truly is instead of what you believe him to be.
So...in a way...God picks himself for you to believe in and you don't have to do the picking at all, you just have to believe that Jesus is the son of a creator being and then believe (trust) the gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4).

"Root of disbelief"? That statement is so idiotic, what is the root of not believing in green men on the moon? Or fairies at the end of rainbows? That is the wrong way of looking at reality, you need a reason to belief, THAT NEEDS A ROOT, you DO NOT NEED A REASON NOT TO BELIEVE.
Starting out with a fallacy and going from there is unfortunately not the dumbest thing in this video.
If there was clear evidence for a single God, why are there so many different religions all believing things that are not compatible with each other.
There's no need for God in any of this, it's adding an extra layer of supernatural intervention where it is not needed.
The idea of the supernatural started from people trying to understand the universe and lacking the abilities to do so picked the only thing they could, THEY MADE SHIT UP.
Now, there's more we don't know then we do know, but in everything we have found, there's no sign of God. Those that see one, all see something different and believe in different Gods that did different things for different reasons.

Natural things can't regress infinitely into the past, so how is supernatural intervention not needed?
Supernatural intervention is needed because what is natural needs a starting point so that it can progress beyond that starting point.

Why so angry? Why so many religions? Religion is man's attempt to reconcile himself with the LORD God Almighty. Fallen man is rebellious in nature. Men will do what is right in their own eyes instead of submitting to the Creator. Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father, everything else leads to destruction.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (Romans 10:9, KJV)
      As for all the religions, read on;
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed [it] unto them. 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified [him] not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in [their] knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. (Romans 1:18-32, KJV)
