This is the first tutorial ever on this channel, I just hope you bois enjoy this one and lemme know if I should do more in the future. And also, WE HAVE A DISCORD SERVER NOW AAAAAAAAAA - discord.gg/wDj299C
@@kieranowers2786 just like he showed in the video, he made an arp with 3xOsc, and then he messed with the arpeggiator. I think he automated it faster since you can also mess with the time of the arp
This taught me one main thing: Don't overdo the growls, the other stuff is far more important! I usually worry about the growls too much, cause I consider the other things to be easy, but hence I miss out on them. Dang, gonna try making something alike soon
I'd like to see some more detail on the music theory aspect of things. Why did you choose to use that progression? Why did you start on the minor i instead of the major I? The circle of fifths might even be worth a mention, since you seemed to stick to i, IV, V and v chords here. If you don't have a deep enough understanding of all this to pretend you know enough to teach it, just skip the theory section altogether. In the sound design section, the chords are great, helpful info for beginners but not long enough to bore people who already know how to make a supersaw. Plus, they're interesting, I don't hear supersquares or really anything other than supersaws in melodic dubstep much these days. I find it interesting that you chose 0:10 for the arp instead of an even 0:12, but it's fast enough that you can't really tell. Don't forget to cover post-processing as well, my trained ear can hear the OTT, delay and reverb on your supersaw, but newbies won't. The bass in the chordstack is a bit lacking, I'd suggest dirtying it up with a little bit of FM from the sub oscillator, some compression, and some distortion, followed by a lowpass to clear space for the chords and lead. Beef up that sub too, if you listen to Virtual Riot a lot you'll notice that all of his tracks have a really powerful sub right at the lower edge of the audible range. I'd also like to see more about the growls. If you made them yourself, show us how, if not then tell us the presets' names and origins and any modifications or post processing. Adjust some of those vocal chops, most of them are good but there are 3 or 4 that don't fit with the chords and might even be out of key. One other thing - put a preview of the final product right at the start of the video, so people can immediately judge whether they want to follow the tutorial. All in all, really not bad for your first tutorial! You've earned a like and a subscription in spite of my criticisms, keep doing this and you'll be the next Wubbix or Dylan Tallchief in no time at all.
Oh wow, I really appreciate you spending your time on writing this comment. I'll be sure to keep these tips in mind when I make another tutorial next time. Thanks again for everything

Really fun tutorial man. I loved how I didn't know how the finished song would sound until the end. I knew it was good enough to watch because of your editing (by the way the chill Lakey Inspired track is amazing!)
Congrats For 2k Subs man!Really Helpful since Motive was like a really good track and i couldnt get it out of my head for some time and this was just clearly a breakdown of the track so i learned a lot of things from this. TYSM. Love ya!
sounded really epic, i like the intense reverb and layering of synths and plucks, but possible improvements can be to producer more fitting bass sounds that have variation with automation instead of complete different sounds. Very cool burps too aha, good job
Hey mate, awesome tutorial, banger track. I've got a question regarding the Sounddesign of the lead: when I tried to recreate this stuff everything fell in place but my lead with your shown settings sounds so dull and empty and doesnt really slide at all. What did you do to get that lead so badass? Awesome work buddy
Is unnecessary cause all producers mix it's track in a different and unique way, in your next tutorials you can explain like the basics to produce a genre and what it needs, the rest it doesn't matter
DAMN. GOD. YOU ARE A HERO. Just I'd like to know how you make the growl, but that toturial is perfect ! Everything is explained with higher details than a 4K screen. I mean, perfect.

@@Zideon Any chance we could get a tutorial on how to make and automate growls like this? There are plenty of tutorials that tell you to click this and turn that, but you explain things in a simple and very professional manner that is super easy to follow. I don't want to copy/paste a sound from a video, I want to understand how the sound is created and be able to do it on my own and no one seems to do that like you did by breaking everything down.
@iKwiKZz Actually it is pretty easy... Specially if you use Serum. The secret is basically picking the right wavetable (or importing a cool sample as waveform) and playing with the different oscilator warpmodes (bend, remap, etc) and automate it. U can also automate the level and wt position to give motion to it. Then, (all with the same macro or lfo if u want) automate the cutoff of a high pass or band pass filter with high resonance to get that "waaw" effect.' Then add some hyper or dimension expander, saturate it a bit, lots of multiband compression and that stuff... It's mostly experimenting till getting a cool sound. You can watch some Virtual Riot's livestreams where he explains really cool techniques. For example, he streamed on Twitch while making his song "Lunar" and it is available on YT.
Hadronic Music i really wanna get into music production but I have no clue what anything you just said meant, what are some basic things I should know first before even trying to make a song?

Notice that the sidechaining suppressed some of the notes from that arp and made it have a different rhythm from the intended pattern, still sounds cool tho, maybe even better tbh
the growls are just monster or spectral wavetables with fm or sometimes other modulations, and as far as mixing i only used ott, soundgoodizer, camelcrusher and saturator
