Forestella is an exceptional group. I really love them. It was so great to see how they changed the original folk song into rock. They always make cover songs their own. I can't wait until you check out some of their originals like "Save Our Lives" (first part of a trilogy) and "Utopia" (second part of the trilogy). "White Night" is another gorgeous piece. This performance was for the 1st round of Phantom Singer All Stars. (I'll say PSAS) PSAS could be filmed because serious covid situation made every concert canceled. For that reason they had online audience and a few celeb guests only. All the finalists groups from 3 seasons were invited and each round had a specific themes. Each season has 3 final groups and all the final 9 groups were invited to PSAS. (BTW Forestella is the 2nd season's winner.) The celebrity guests and online audience voted to someone they liked. There were 7 rounds with different themes. But one theme was solo performance representing the group, and one theme was seasons' match. So each group had 5 songs as a whole group. They compete on the themes given and sometimes compete as solo, as member-changed quartet or duet in this show. The theme for the 1st round was making stage representing the own originality of themselves. As you saw, they showed their originality like this. And I felt the lyrics was what they're talking to each other because they were through tough time together for years and sharing strong bond among them. BTW I got chills when I came to know the time was going backward! See the clock face was reversed. These genius artists made me imagine a story about the Time in a bottle this way. Every time they make me love them even more than ever! Forestella sang Time in a bottle, Je suis malade, Shape of you, a Snail, Inner Universe as a whole group in PSAS. They did very good job on every single one. They sang in 7 language in total, in English, French, Spanish, isiZulu, Korean, Russian, and Latin.

This Jim Croce classic (1972) has been a favorite of mine since it was first released. Not sure how he would feel about this rendering of his song, simple but beautiful, written after the birth of his son. I can appreciate the vocal talent, but the arrangement after a certain point not so much! If you listen to the original, you might at least understand, if not agree with, my views on this.
