Forestella recommendations?
I highly recommend “Shape of you” (Forestella), next. You will be amazed to see what they did with it! And “Inner Universe”. Also, you must listen to the original “Je suis malade”, as interpreted by Lara Fabian; it is a masterpiece; make sure to choose a version that has the English subtitles so you may understand. you don't know Forestella at all,. I bet!
Ghost in the Shell Inner Universe, Time in a Bottle, they do excellent covers of these songs
"Time in a Bottle." If you listen to how they dramatically recreated this classic song, your jaw will drop.
*And if you want to meet another world-class singer in Korea, I strongly recommend So Hyang. Often referred to as the female version of Dimash or the Korean version of Mariah Carey (a comparison I personally don't agree with - she's simply the best vocalist in her own right), her amazing vocal skills and emotional delivery will leave you speechless once again. Listening to her cover songs like "You Raise Me Up" or "Bridge Over Troubled Water" (from the TV show, "Immortal songs") will definitely make you feel another level .

At the end, the reason there wasn't much clapping was because the audience was literally stunned. If you see the full thing it starts to grw like a delayed reaction and people shout out their appreciation.
Forestella performed this song during the Covid pandemic when no audience was allowed.
This was also just a friendly competition with top 3 winners of 3 previous Phantom singer competitions.
Other competitors and judges were the only people present.

It was covid-19 times guys…always check the dates with Forestella performances for context and timeline…the only audience were a few special guests, judges and their fellow musicians in the competition…this is from Phantom Singer All Stars in early 2021 where the winners of Phantom Singer series 1 to 3 and the runners up all came together to compete in friendly competition. …FORESTELLA WAS THE WINNER OF THE 2ND season of Phantom Singer in 2017. …The original songwriter and singer of this almost 50yr old autobiographical song, Serge Lama, was very impressed with their performance, loaded it up on social media and told all of France to watch it. He also reached out to Forestella to compliment them on their arrangement for 4 voices and interpretation , which was a homage to a Lara Fabian’s concert version of the same song.’

I got your email and then it said private, I was so dejected, but Then it’s on TH-cam, Yes!!! Je Suis Malade is so powerful, so much so that Forestella is the only group/person who I have seen tackle this after Lara took possession of it, quite an act to follow, the bar is set astronomically high. Loved your reaction, appreciation and comparitative analysis. I loved during the emotional battle of voices that the two with classically trained voices paired up and the musical theatre and rock/pop voice were together, very interesting emotionally and texturally. I have to watch again, sorry 😂❤.

The people cheering and clapping are their competition, there were no other audience members there (COVID). The audience was the finalists for the first 3 seasons of Phantom Singer (thus why it was the Phantom Singer All Stars). ❤

Creo que el quiebre de la voz del 4to cantante en 18:45 es una habilidad propia del cantante. Él ama el rock y suele hacer esos quiebres. También el 2do cantante es capaz de hacerlo y suena espectacular.
Si reaccionan su última canción lanzada hace 3 dias, The show must go on, los verán aplicar éste recurso con gran efecto.

I have listened to this song so many many times and also watched so many reactors reacted to this song but I must say your reaction is one of the best. I learned something new to this song which i haven't realized it before. Forestella led me to your channel and I am sure I will come back more often. Please react to more Forestella. I'd say the world of korean crossover is a rabbit hole worth going into. Forestella might be the best one, but there are also others that can interest you.

If you want peak emotional expression/lots of pain, I recommend Maldita Sea Mi Suerte. I think it translates as "Damn My Luck" or something like that. It has the same tragic vibe as Je Suis Malade, in my opinion.
You're right, it's like damned be my luck, or cursed be my luck also works. I love their rendition of it!! Je Suis Malade is up there in tragedy as far as lyrics go, Maldita Sea Mi Suerte isn't as hurtful but the guys really managed to make it sound so heartbreaking.
