    not being angry with yourself is really hard when you have your family that constantly insult you for not doing anything due to lack of motivation/ energy/ depression.

    1. set bed and waking time
    2. don’t get angry at yourself if you don’t hold on to that bed/waking time
    3. limit screen time before going to bed
    4. avoid coffee (speeds up heart/anxiety)
    5.no naps
    6. find the exersice thats good for you (yoga/running/walking, something you truly like to do)
    7. try to eat as well as you can find easy recipes that you enjoy cooking
    8. take vitamin B (helps with brain function)

    My mom calls me lazy all the tome bc she doesn’t understand that it’s a symptom of my depression, thank you for reminding me, I don’t feel as guilty now, though my next thought it that I’m using depression as an excuse
    1) set a bedtime and wake up time
    2)don’t get angry at yourself
    3)accept things
    4)too much social media, read more, take care of yourself

      This is so so relatable.. I've an exam tomorrow and I havent studied anything... but I've had almost 0 energy to do anything I'm so exhausted after sleeping 8 9 hours and I just feel so bad.. I don't feel like doing anything :( depression truly is the worst but nobody understands

    I relate to this so much! I’ve really been struggling sense covid. Every time I think i’ve came out of it the cycle starts over. It’s really discouraging. It doesn’t help the way i worry about everything and feel guilty anything. It’s really hard to get started when your really low too like been in your bed for days low. I’m super over it. Life continues around you and there you are buried in your bed. A shower feels like a job. Sounds crazy but it’s so real when your in it.

    Maddie, you are an exceptionally BRAVE person for putting all this content out there. I feel like Ive been trapped in a BPD sized closet most of my life, but it's people like you that I look to, to find the strength to express the worst parts of my disorder with those around me.
    I dunno if you believe in karma but I personally believe your TH-cam presence is only the beginning of what amazing things should be happening for you. I literally have so much space in my heart for champions like you keep on keeping on maddie ❤️

    what i like about you video, is if I just saw you I would think, wow here is a pretty lady who must have it all together. Your honesty of how you suffer from depression is liberating for all of us. The climax to your tips, is 'the world will not implode if you are tired or feeling low energy. Best anxiety relieving advise ever heard

    Thank you so much for this video ! I'm only halfway through those key points at this point of my life but I just wanted to share that the number 5 - no naps was a big turnaround in my life. It WORKED so well (and yes i still have 1 hour max naps when I'm reeeaally tired) but most of the days I'm fully "here" for the whole day and get to spend more time with my family that way, time that was lost when I used to nap so often. I'm grateful for the progress and that little push from my boyfriend to avoid napping and spend calm moments with him instead.

    I needed this! I really struggle because my meds cause me to have such low energy and obviously general depression does this too and the work loaf at uni is a lot at the moment so I feel super unproductive and unmotivated because I don’t have the energy to keep up with it xx

    This is going to sound crazy but just getting up and doing one task. JUST one thing you need to do. Helps me sometimes, physical activity of any kind keeps you out of your head. Then you feel good for completing one thing:)

    when depression/ psychotic events are long term and pills fail to treat it - depression/ schizophrenia / chronic fatigue could be down to the instability of head so called craniocervical instability. If you are hypermobile ( check what Beighton scale is) then more than sure your ilness is down to it. The best option is to buy cervical collar . Aspen Vista seems to me be the best. Please ,please check what EDS is and what craniocervical instsbility is. Due to poor oxygen levels ,depression, schizophrenia occurs and pills do not help.

    I dont cut but i dig my nails into my skin when im angry and it eventually bleeds it makes me feel like i have control because i get the urge to be violent :)

    While I have had episodes of depression I myself don’t have depression and I just don’t have any energy to talk to anyone or reach out or do anything and I just feel so guilty so aligning my laziness (I know I don’t have depression) with people who genuinely don’t have energy and it’s just a self hating self pitying cycle

    Thanks for the Video! It is very helpful. But anyone here has the same experience as me? I have been through depression in the last three years. I am actually doing better now, but still suffer from lack of energy and tension on my forehead and head in general. I really suffer from this tension I have.

      Maybe try going to a chiropractor for the tension in your head. Look into somatic therapy and how emotions affect certain body parts

    Vitamin B worked amazing for me too (it tamed down the overthinking greatly) and I suggest trying 5-HTP (natural precursor to serotonin) (improved my mood so well day by day)

    Only thing is having an early night is mostly impossible if you have depression & anxiety and other mental disorders because those disorders normally come with sleep complications. It can be so hard to fall asleep let alone sleeping early.

      Tanvir Kaur you can still get into bed early ☺️ trust me I know haha I’ve spent years battling this. Winding down is soooo important and I find sleep meditations so useful for when my brain is going crazy when I’m trying to sleep

      That is your inner 'engine light' going off. Its your body's way of telling you, something is broken and needs to be fixed / changed. Maybe different career path or finding the right friend. Also, remember this lady's tip, okay, so your tired.. it sucks but it'll eventually pass and the world will continue

    There are screen dimmer apps for phone that filter out blue light that can mess up your sleep patterns. I use one called Twilight. It has a timer and filter adjustments.

      P. N. Ooooh I’ve just ordered blue light glasses but I need to try this out! I have the night shift setting on my phone so it turns orange after a certain time- is this the same thing?

      @@themaddiebruce Yeah, probably the same kind of thing. Maybe more nuanced controls though. I just got new custom computers screen glasses with blue tint. I can tell the difference in the intensity. Hope it helps with sleep!

      Well done ! I started a new job and study along side. I tell you what it feels like my life is being squeezed by my BPD sometimes it does feel quite tight 😂 but a job will hopefully give you regulation which is great for recovery. You learn new things about yourself everyday and your Illness quickly becomes secondary to all the good things that you have on your plate. all the best ❤️

      I changed my schedule from full time to half time cause I was literally unable to make it to 8 hours. I worked full time for about 4 months and it was nightmare.
      Half time is better now but still challenging, especially when I have no energy to get out of house in the morning...
      Good luck though!
