I saw these guys along with Helloween and Grim Reaper in Dallas, TX on Halloween night in 1987. That afternoon, I happened to go to a record store in Arlington to see if the new Dokken had come out yet. Unknowingly to me. all three bands were there signing autographs and they were giving things away in a free raffle. The first prize was a guitar signed by all the guys in the bands. I ended up winning the 2nd prize.....concert tickets and limo ride to the concert and back from the record store.
Yup me too at the Hard Roxx in Lawton Oklahoma, too bad I missed them at the record store. There were less than 200 people at the Hard Roxx i got right up front & got Nick Bowcots pic and still have it. That was an unforgettable show, all 3 bands were absolutely amazing. Super cool you won tickets and ride in the limo.
Armored Saint very underrated band everything bout this band is just perfection drummer, bass, guitars & vox J bush one underrated singer glad saw them played in ‘86 & 2018 one of my favs bands of all time Rest In Peace big Red Dave Prichard great guitarist never forgotten 🙏🏻🤘🏻
Can't say enough about Armored . Had the pleasure of meeting Dave in a club in TO before a show around 1987 . He bought us a beer and chatted about music . Super cool guy and a great guitar player . RIP .
I remember watching this as it was shown for the first time..for the "Halloween Special". A Great line up of bands & inparticular.. D.P...is just a tragic loss. He was truly a Unique Rock guitarist that came from a Learned background & as all good Players did from the 80's..Used Major Scales & Modes in their Leads..unlike today's guitarists taking the "Pentatonic & Blues" Scale routes at nauseum. Nice Post. Great classic Rock/Metal band.
I still have the guitar pick i caught from David Pritchard from the 1st show of the tour in Washington DC.They returned a few months later opening for KIX and David was near the front row drinking a beer and watching the headliner.I still remember being 15 and meeting one of my heros. His memory lives on.
I still kick myself for not going to see the late and great Dave Prichard live in concert. The Armored Saint releases were all I listened to back in high school. Why do the good ones have to be taken from us so early? REST IN PEACE Dave Prichard!
Toured with these guys for a leg of their Win Hands Down tour.. Jeff and Phil on guitar with Joey, john and Gonzo still there. Such a cool and wonderful fuckin time. Thanks for the memories and sharing your stage with us!!
I watched this the night it aired and recorded it on Beta as well, I wore that tape out. Dave Prichard is one of my all-time favorite guitarists, so underrated, his playing is this video is awesome (as is the whole band, not a weak link in the lineup), I can only imagine how great he would have gone on to be, RIP Red Saint.
Saw Alice Cooper in Indiana on free tickets and who but the greatest unknown heavy metal band of that time opened for them. My jaw dropped not knowing they were the openers. Needless to say I could have left after them!
Wow.. THANK YOU for posting! Amazing video and audio quality in this video, and nice closeups on the late and great Dave Prichard.. Rest In Peace brother! You were underrated and breathtaking on the guitar!
not sure how i would rate this band....they're better than Motley Crue musically but not quite as good as the Scorpions...i think they are a B+ metal band.....
They blow Motley Crue out of the water. John Bush is excellent, Vince is… Ok I guess? It’s really tough to measure up to the Scorpions. Klaus is a legend, Jabs can shred, Rudolf is a great rhythm guitarist and writer. Rhythm section isn’t anything particularly special, but their core 3 musicians make for a tremendous band.
This is their best song ever...Either this or Aftermath. Dave Prichard rules.

There's alot of heavy metal ballads out there, but very few ever hit me like THIS song. RIP Dave Prichard...

I don't believe in Heaven, but I hope Randy Rhoads, Criss Oliva, and Dave Prichard are jamming somewhere in this vast universe.

Seen them open for Metallica!! And DIO - AWESOME!!!!
Does anybody think it'll come back like?
I saw them open for Metallica, Ted Nugent and Metal Church. The Metal Church tour rotated who opened, but that night The Saint dominated IMO.
