Great game for sure! Those in-box expansions are lovely though, we started integrating them all after a teaching game, and they just keep increasing the depth of decisions. Really cool!

This actually look interesting! Haven't played any of the Valeria games before but I'm intrigued enough to get this one. Thanks for the review! And yea.. I thought this was leaning towards a seal of excellence as well. Kind of surprised it fell just shy of it.

Everything is good and I was expecting a seal of excellence lol ... what makes it not reaching that score?

Hard to say...perhaps it's good in all those ways but not amazing (to Tom). Tom uses the Seal of Excellence for 8.5+ ratings. So this could just be below that. He speaks of games he rates 8 quite highly usually.

You can find out his rating on week on review for the point rating. It obviously didn't clear the bar for an amazing game, which just means that he wasn't drawn into it enough for whatever reason.
